I went to the store on November 29, 2023 I had some prescriptions filled, and I was confused by the Teleprompter, but when I finally talked to a real person, they explained that three of the items were over-the-counter I don’t like teleprompters, but I really found the service of the people who worked there above and beyond when I got to the store to pick up my prescriptions, the pharmacist was very helpful and making sure I put in my insurance card so I was charged less money. Additionally, he helped me locate the items that were over-the-counter items, the experience of this pharmacy was really really nice. People were very helpful and very concerned the store was clean. I think this is my favorite CVS on the peninsula now we’re lucky to have it.

This place has the most unhelpful and obnoxious pharmacist I have ever met. Also didn't have much stock on the shelf, and what they did have I couldn't buy since they said it had been recalled, so not sure why it was on the shelf in the first place so I had to go elsewhere.

Stay away. If you're sick, injured or tired, there is an employee that likes to signal her superiority and gives your enough correct information to not get fired, but just enough admonishing for you to know you're on your own and better start praying for help. She won't let you speak with the pharmacist and will hang up on you. If she hates humanity this much, why work here? Apparently she's never been sick and loves humiliating people, and management is so janky that they will hire anyone. I used to feel sorry for these workers.

The STORE Manager Needs To Get Fired! Witness her talking down to a young employee. Referring to them as hey you or - where's the other one ? I think it's to hard to call them by there name . Shame on CVS for allowing things like this to happen !!

Publicly traded companies are brilliant at allocating just enough service to be an inch better than the local competition. Fortunately for the CVS on Lighthouse in Monterey, the local competition is abysmal. CVS even closes their pharmacy for an hour in the middle of the afternoon - aren't they a pharmacy first and foremost? Sometimes while waiting in line I doze off, and when I come to, I think I'm at the DMV. The least they could do is keep Cannery Row tourists from parking in their rather large lot. There's currently a broken down car in the lot that's been there for months. Thank goodness the 76 station across the street is kind enough to let me park when the CVS lot is full of vacationers.

I needed contact lens fluid and I found it. Also other products that were not pharmaceutical and well priced.

Trying to get RX transferred due to insurance change was a nightmare. Walgreens attempted twice and I finally had to call and they denied getting the request. Someone is not telling the truth and I am sure it's not the ones getting the RX. I told them to transfer ALL my RX and today I found out one cream that I needed was not transferred. Why would you not transfer all when that was my request. Spoke with Ha Lee pharmacist. Terrible customer service and definitely will not recommend their pharmacy!

CVS @ 686 Lighthouse Ave Monterey Calif 93940\nI must say the employees here ALWAYS have a good outlook even when they have a long line, do to I believe that are understaffed. The pharmacy Employees are Great I am always impressed when they say hello and remember my name, with all the hustle and bustle of customers. and the employee in the cosmetic dept. is so well knowledged on all products and very polite and helpful. I always have a present experience and find what I am looking for.

Called the pharmacy at CVS on Lighthouse this morning, I wanted to cancel prescriptions that they said I had for pick up. I held on the phone for 15 minutes after being told two times. Please hold....then she comes on. Asked me to call back in three hours. I told her I've been holding for 15 minutes. All I wanna do is cancel prescriptions that are there for me to pick up that. I didn't even re-order and she hung up on me. I don't care if they are short staffed that was totally uncalled for management should concentrate on staffing and with courteous people

Helen in the pharmacy is absolutely miserable and unpleasant. She has zero customer service skill and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her by standing at an open window. Management should take the opportunity to either retrain her, if old dogs are willing to learn new tricks. Or just retire her out. She's miserable and makes interactions with her horrible.

This is a good pit stop to grab the essentials for a road trip. The CVS is open 24 hour which is a big difference compared to the CVS in San Francisco which closes early. I was surprised to see all the discounts available for different products. I even found after Christmas specials which were discounted deeply. A good one stop shop.

Just avoid any pharmacy services. The corner might do you even better.
