We only spent 1 night at the Cannery Row Inn as we were passing through. It was ok for that, but nothing more. The best thing is probably the location, as everything worth mentioning can be reached on foot from the hotel. The staff can be rated neutrally, not overly friendly, but not unfriendly either. Our room was large, but a bit old. It also smelled quite strongly of smoke or something similar. This didn't make you feel the best. But you can do it for one night. The hotel has its own parking lot.

Simple hotel. Parking space at the house. Most of Monterey's highlights are within walking distance. No breakfast.
Rooms: Rooms large and clean.
Nearby activities: Whalwaching starts at the pier.
Food & drinks: Vending machines for snacks and drinks are available, but not fully stocked. 7/11 5 minutes away.

HAD AN AMAZING STAY, WAS IN TOWN FOR A BUSINESS REAL ESTATE EVENT AND THE HOTEL WAS LOCATED IN A PRIME LOCATION. ROOMS WHERE MAINTAINED AND CLEAN ALONG WITH THE AMAZING STAFF. SHOUT OUT TO THE YOUNG MAN WORKING THERE NAME DAVID HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE MY STAY COMFORTABLE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The hotel was ideally located in relation to the beach and pier. The staff on arrival was Alm polite,
We enjoyed how close it was to the water and the walk to see seals etc
The room had a small balcony
Rooms: The room was ok big with its own fridge a small coffee Maker tea was available in the lobby and there is an elevator
Walkability: Wheelchair users can also get around here

The room was very nice great view. The low rating is for poor service first off I am a disabled vet yes I can walk but it hurts and our phone didn't work. Making it more inconvenient to walk to the office to tell the first guy about the tub not functioning and not allowing my pregnant wife take a bath. The drain did not seal correctly the guy up front said he couldn't do anything he then gave me some rags and a stopper. Once I returned to my room I tried to stuff the rags into the drain cause they weren't going to doing anything then once I did this the drain plug fell out which then allowed me to use the plug the man gave me. First problem solved but I had to do it myself I guess I should send an invoice. Later the wife and I got cold so we turned on the heater and took a nap. I woke up to the smell of burning plastic I moved everything away from the heater just in case but no it was coming out of the heater. The room had smoke everywhere so i opened the sliding glass door and turned on the bathroom vents then once again went to the office where I was greeted by a lady this time about the same age as the guy from earlier. I told her about the issued and asked for a fan she said that they didn't have any fans and told me thr something the other guy did and said she would tell the manager the other guy said this as well. We then had the lady short time later enter with her manger on video call showing him the issues of the phone and the heater then he told her over the phone to tell us to use the fan option on the ac which the position of the ac would not help the situation. She then said he would be by later after we came back to the office to see when he would be here and we let her know that we were leveling to enjoy out stay she said she would let the manager know. Then we didn't hear anything for the last night and day we were there so my wife send him an email he then responded with there are no issues and basically it's all in our heads even said I didn't go to the office more than once. But I gotta say great location, price and view of the ocean, however I will not be using their services in the future.

We honestly had the best experience at this hotel. Very clean and is not so expensive for being right next to the wharf!!!! My husband and I were going to reserve at holiday inn but they reserved someone else when we had paid for the hotel already.. we got our money reimbursed and called cannery row and they were quick to help us get a room and wayyyyyy cheaper ❤️ will be coming to stay at this inn more often

Our stay this last weekend was very pleasant. I brought my wife to get out of the house for our wedding anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The room amenities were enough for us and we loved being so close to the beach because we kept walking down to Cannery Row to take in the sights and have lunches at the beach. I loved the decor in the bathroom. The manager David provided great service. He told me where there were some local gyms I could check out because me and my wife love to stay active even as we travel. He also provided a list of great dinner options in the area, including El Torito, which was just down the street. Would definitely stay again.
Rooms: Rooms were very clean and the decor in the bathroom was nice.
Nearby activities: He recommended some great walks to the beach such as the one down the way from the hotel. We had lunch there.
Safety: The hotel was in a public area with plenty of lighting and people around. There was plenty of police in the area as well.
Walkability: Lots of small hidden trails around the hotel.
Food & drinks: We at at El Torito down the street and at Lalla's Grill which was also down the street. Great places.
Noteworthy details: The manager went above and beyond for us.

Pluses: good sized room. Convenient location very close to the aquarium houses on parking lot. Nice tv screen size. Elevators. Clean room. Minuses: No breakfast of any kind. A bit expensive. Could never figure out how to put the fireplace on. One lamp not working.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for a weekend getaway. Cute room has a microwave, fridge, & balcony. We could hear the ocean waves roaring during the night. That’s how close it is to cannery row! Our stay was very comfortable and the staff was super friendly. David gave us some great recommendations for dinner. Highly recommend this place. It’s got it all, affordable, great location, friendly staff, and clean. Everything is gucci rice crispy.
Walkability: Very walkable and sidewalks and pathways are very spacious. There’s really no need to drive your car around and struggle with parking meters. Everything is close-by if you want access to all cannery row has to offer
Food & drinks: David recommended the fish hopper, the sardine factory, and the whaling station. Lalla oceanside grill also has great drinks. Must trys!
Noteworthy details: Free parking is included!

Recently stayed at Cannery Row inn and can honestly say it’s been one of the best experiences, staff and manager were very helpful and friendly, David was really helpful and recommended a lot of good places to explore in Monterey, would definitely recommend
