Waited for 30 minutes by the shoes to try some on. Nobody came. I was the only person in the store and there were 3 employees that I saw. I left the store empty handed.

In the 80s and 90s this was the place to get sports and outdoor equipment. I don't think all that much has changed with Big 5 but now Walmart has a lot of the lower end gear and REI had the upscale stuff. The one reason I keep coming back is my son gets distracted at Walmart and only wants the super high end stuff at REI. Big 5 will help me get him equipped without spending too much.

As others have said the customer service is HORRIBLE here... downright rude to customers. To the purple haired girl today who was so so rude to me and my mother, i know your life is terrible and your working the register at big 5. But try to put a smile on when your at work. And try to be the least bit helpful. Wow

I typically don't complain about a bad experiences, but in this case I have to say something! ALWAYS A GREAT EXPERIENCE when I visit this location. Staff is always super friendly, helpful, and willing to help. So please let the staff know they are appreciated and I always enjoy my shopping experiences when I visit. Thank you monterey for being better than the rest. .

Never knew this existed, strange location with parking way in the back. They had the right size cleats though, seems like a good store with plenty of selection.

Great store, great help. Alfredo in the shoe department worked hard, going back and forth for multiple customers simultaneously while delivering the correct requests.
