“The pan dulce is pretty good for a market. They are now 99 cents each. We like to just briefly warm the conchas up at home in the microwave for a few seconds and they are nice and soft. The deli has deals on fried or roasted chicken..we bought 30 pieces for only $23.99. The potato wedges are huge and nicely seasoned. They package the chicken in large aluminum pans, ready for a party!”
“Fresh produce and good selection of grocery items at Tropicana Market! It was my first visit, and I found everything i needed in my shopping list. Friendly staff and ample parking made it easy for a quick shopping trip. Highly recommend!”
“Busy parking lot with restaurants and a gym. Nice, big and clean store with lots of options, a good sushi counter, deli, and bakery. I'm so happy they built this store. I really disliked going to the Ralph's across the street.”
“God bless this place. i’m puerto rican and it is so hard to find ajíes dulces, culantro and gandules. Not only did they have gandules but they had Jibarito from bayamón puerto rico ? this is so huge because it’s so much better than the goya brand “pigeon peas”. love this supermarket and i will be back”

You can't get everything you need here. Definitely not a one stop shop. But I come here for some great deals on some of my select items. Downfall for me is need to rent a cart. So I bring my own bags and shop with those as I peruse the store.”
“Went around 5:30pm. Was not crowded. Clean. Great selection of fruits and vegetables with good pricing. Good selection of ready to go and bake or microwave at home selection. Great selection of frozen shrimp. Whole frozen lobsters. Cheese cake slices...etc.”

“This is the place for low prices on dairy, snacks and gelato and unique imported food and products sans chemical additives most other companies allow . I was so impressed by the service today it was remarkable ...I saw a guy going to town on stocking produce and he knew that store like the back of his hand. I believe his name was Christopher but that gentleman knew the layout and ins and outs of the store like you wouldn't believe ! He's got just the right amount of people skills is focused and got the job done ! The store skips on piping in music so it's actually nice for neurodivergent people and it's got wide enough isles for those who maybe in wheelchairs or scooters... I like it!”
“They are for the most part a clean, organized, good customer service employees. I go there when we're playing the lottery scratchers, and cigarettes. There are times when I'll grab a fountain drink. They also sell Krunxky Chicken there. They have Chicken Legs, Thighs, and Chicken Tenders. They have specials like 3.Tenders, a small side, and a regular drink .for like $7 bucks. And let's not leave out the Hot Cocoa, and Cappuccino. A little bit of small of a smaller version of a 711 but I do however co-sign for this place of business for this is Chuy aka Jesse Vara Viramontes signing off for now from Alhambra Town, just adjacent to where I grew up in The Hood, aka San Gabriel Mission District. “Like this store. I've been going here for several years now. Although there is a closer store of this network. Convenient location of goods. There are always lots of promotions. Large assortment, you can find almost anything. There are also bulk products such as meat, chicken, fish, salads, pickles, cold meats, cheeses and sweets. You can say no cons, except for ever-growing prices, but this is clearly not a question for the store.”
“Very kind and honestly found so many great things. Markets like these are so authentic to the neighborhoods as well I just appreciate it a lot as a latina who enjoys Asian food and snacks. Hard to budget here when you end up finding so many cool things !”

“Mexican market with lots of produce, prepared foods, hand made fresh salsa, fried chicken for little or big parties, wedge fries, fresh fried tortilla chips, guacamole in various ways, spicy, non-spicy, meat, deli, bread, cakes, snacks, cookies, even charcuterie supplies. Of course, it has all the ingredients to make your favorite Mexican food, and then some. It's my go-to for quick party food, potluck on the fly, no time? No problem. They were open Christmas day until 6 pm. Whew!!!”
“I like the low price the have, cheaper than COSTCO for a lot of them. On the downside, not a lot of selections. Item you buy may not be there next time. Time at the register has improved since they added the self checkout. Still don't like to have to look for a quarter to get a cart in this day and age where I almost never use cash.”
“For day-today items, the local supermarket chain store is fine...but for all those special items that are a must-have for authentic, "like grandma used to make" recipes... Vallarta is the place to go! It's a drive for us, especially with surface street traffic...but always well worth it.From traditional Mexican fresh produce and specialty items like seasonings to the sweet "pan dulce" and traditional cooking pots "ollas" and tortilla presses...Vallarta has it all!Don't forget to visit the cut-to-order meat counter and butcher shop AND the "tortilleria" for their tasty corn and flour varieties. There are other "bars" like one for juices and smoothies and...even a fresh guacamole bar! After all that... if you don't want to cook, their ready-to-food menu is great too..try EVERYTHING!Have questions...ask the staff who is always ready to help.”
“I always shop here for my fresh fruits and vegetables. They have good quality produce. On, March 6, the cashier told me that the item I had was not on sale, so I asked to make an exchange on a sale item. The cashier very willing did it and she got out of her chair to take the item back and brought back the correct item. Kudos to this gal for going out of her way for the customer. This is the type of employees we need in our communities. Too bad I didn't get her name.”

“Shopping at Seafood city grocery store was a joy! It offered a wide variety of authentic Filipino products and friendly staff eager to help. It left me excited to know that we have Filipino grocery nearby that I can go to. They offer hot food that is Filipino cuisine. This store makes me feel at home whenever I feel homesick.”

“Tried this local meat market for the first time yesterday and the carne asada and chicken with their marinade is so tasty. I am sometimes hesitant in purchasing marinated meat from places but this place, you can tell the meat and chicken were fresh and he marinated the chicken right then and there. And this place is $4 cheaper on carne asada than our local markets. Good customer service too. This will be my new place for meat and chicken.”

“If you are ever in the Montebello area you must visit this family owned Armenian market. They carry puri bread from the famous San Fernando Valley Victory Bread bakery brought in fresh daily. They also sell homemade hummus, tabouli, dolmas and other items. They have a great assortment of feta cheeses. The owners are the sweetest!”
