I don't usually leave reviews but I was so Thankful for how I was treated and cared for. ???
I went to this urgent care after I got hit by a car on my motorcycle at low speeds and they were too GREAT! From the front desk to the nurses and doctors everyone was polite and attentive. I got checked out, ALL my wounds were treated, got X-rays done, and received prescriptions. Nothing too major but very painful.

Tanaya was awesome. She remembered my situation and my name. That was unexpected she is going to try resolve my issue. Never had such consideration from an urgent care office

The first time I visited, they couldn't figure out what was wrong. So they told me nothing was wrong.... I then followed up with my primary doctor, and she sent me to get checked for an enlarged heart.
Second time I visited, I described my symptoms to a very young PA. She said it could be "this" so you have to go to the ER. I told her it isn't "this" because of "that". She stuck to her guns. I went to the ER and I was right.
The reason I knew she was wrong from the beginning was because "this" and "that" is common knowledge! She should've known better. Even the ER doctor said I was right and for the right reason.
I could've saved myself a seven-hour wait in the ER and about $1,000 in out-of-pocket costs from the ER.
Edit: please notice the generic, robotic response from Optum.

I went today to Urgent Care/Optum w/my Mom and I was surprised of the care we received. I'm broke. I have NO HEALTH INSURANCE. Just me watching our health care system. Today my mom fell, and hurt her foot (broken toe/nail, blood pooling, with swelling, and had back pain after the fall.) The NP at the urgent care came in after seeing her insurance and stated, "She needs to be transferred out". No kind of physical assessment done!! No vitals taken!! No oxygen. No Blood pressure. No PERRLA. Nothing. Just leave. I'm sorry I'm part of this medical community. Would you treat your own mother like this? I hope NOT.

I don't really like Urgent Care anymore because they don't give care as before. These clinics used to open 24/7 but I don't know what happened. I wish that other health care clinics can open their clinics 24/7 so I can change my health insurance.

We deeply appreciate the exceptional care delivered by the medical team at Optum Urgent Care Montebello. A special acknowledgment to Miguel, Rex, Michelle, Dr. Erick Castillo, and Letty. Dr. Castillo and his team went above and beyond, attending to us even around closing time. His calm and patient approach in removing numerous splinters eased the experience for my 10-year-old. Their clear communication and dedication made a significant impact on my child's well-being. A heartfelt thank you to this outstanding team for making a genuine difference.

Nurses, great! The doctors, great! However, the PA who helped me this time really didn’t do her job. I was waiting for a swab to check if I have certain infection which was possibly led by the antibiotics I took. But the Pa came in and told me that I have another option which I don’t need to take the swab and they can check test it from my urine. Then she prescribed me with 2 different medications. I was like Okay, it sounds much easier. However, after I got the medication and checked ONLINE, I found out one medication is another antibiotic which will cause worse infections?I called back to the clinic and checked the results of my urine sample. And the doctor who spoke to me said the infection can’t be tested from the urine sample and I have to do a swab for that.So I just went to the urgent care for getting medication to treat what I probably don’t need to be treated.Who is telling the truth? I don’t know.

Can you hear me screaming? If only you could hear how I feel. You would hear screaming! More like an ahhhhhhhhhhh scream, that’s it. Any time I come here I reminded they are doing me a favor. However, they seem to forget I’m paying for a service! Wait times are long, once you are inside wait times are long again. I only come here because of its location, but their service is simply substandard, good luck seeing an actual MD. This is a money making machine. Money seems to be the bottom line, not really the patient’s comfort, because after all, they are doing us a favor. No Optum executive would be happy with the wait times and service offered by this place.

I had the worst experience with the radiologist. When I entered the changing room she asked me to put a gown. The gown was from the previous patient. I did not put it on and just looked at her. Then she expected me to know where to stand in front of the mammogram machine. Did not know how to explain the procedure. Extremely insensitive, instead of explaining, her question to me was, “I you thought have done a mammogram before?” Terrible!

The Optum Montebello group only has 50 doctors in its group, compared to even other Optum groups that have 150 to 2000 medical professionals. This makes a big difference in getting qualified referrals. Further, they cap vision care at $300, even though the UHC policy offers more. Incredible how they can limit benefits below what the plan offers in black and white. Recently, we discovered that the primary doctor had my husband on the wrong medication. Please look at the medical group associated with your primary and choose one that has the right group of HMO doctors for your needs.

I waited close to 4 hours to see the doctor for less than 20 seconds for a simple broken finger.Honestly, the nurse and even the doctor were professional and nice. The low rating isn't about them but the terrible system this urgent care has in place. The idea that you have to wait close to 4 hours to even be seen is a bit absurd. There is something wrong with the process if the healthcare system is this inefficient and slow. There is absolutely no reason you have to wait that long to see a doctor.

I always come here for a physical. They are very helpful and polite. Results take about 5-7 business days and you could see them on the app.
