Service was provided immediately. Since B of A handles the EDD payment distribution for EDD, there are certain rules that apply and specific hours since they don't open on Saturday and now close earlier that before. If you don't have an account at B of A and they can't verify you (even with driver's license) you can only withdraw $1,000 a day so they suggested that I go to my own bank and have them process a cash advance to collect the maximum amount of $5,000 per day. Unfortunately, I have been out of work for a few months and needed the full payment, since I can't drive right now I had to pay for another Uber ride to get my hard earned money, this is an inconvenience since I am on disability for a reason. WHAT AN INCONVENIENCE!!

Save yourself a headache & go to another branch. The one in Monterey Park is way more efficient. The MP branch will SOLVE your problem. This Branch in Montebello has the worse customer service experience. No one bothers to lift ONE finger to go the extra mile for that ONE customer that is having issues with their account. Our online account was locked & we had to go in person so that someone from the branch can call them & verify it’s us. We go in person & we were told to come back next week & make an appointment because they don’t have time to call. We went to the MP location & they were able to help us right away. The associate went the extra mile to get his manager to approve account verification & contact the dept to verify us. After verifying he was able to successfully update our information for us to access our account. Completely different service! I believe all banks should have the same consistency of service provided to their customers.

It hurts me to write a one star review but I am appalled by my experiences at this branch. I have gone in twice before. Both times were frustrating. My first experience played out like this. The ATMs outside (3 of them) were being blocked by 2 customers helping an old lady out who was confused by how to use the ATM. That's nice! The remaining ATM open had an error message since it wasn't working. Alright, so I went inside to try to get help with a teller. There was only 1 teller staffed and one person in line tapping his foot. He was obviously waiting awhile and the other staff were in their booths idle. I decided to just leave and go to the bank another day after waiting awhile. While I was leaving I saw one of the other staff bring the guy waiting in front of me to the ATM...just to see that it was broken. The other customers were still blocking the other ATMs. I honestly felt bad for the guy. I decided to give this branch another try because it is the closest BOA near me. I expected one teller and a wait. There was only one teller again. Someone wanted to deposit money and like other reviews said since she didn't have a deposit slip she was directed to the ATM or to get out of line and write a slip herself on the side. I came in to close an account and while that was eventually completed, I had to jump through hurdles for such a basic request. What really fell short was customer service. I was told she could zero out my account and I could either call BOA via phone to close it or wait for the other staff in the booths to close it (but they were busy with another client). The teller needed help from one of the managers (?) and the manager had finished with the previous client and I even said it seems like she isn't with anyone else now. They still told me to call on my own. Then calling to close the account was a hassle due to "extended wait times," the person on the phone not being able to hear me etc. Good customer service would be to just close it out for me at the branch since there were no more customers in the bank. When the manager (?) helped the teller out she also asked her why I was closing the account. The teller lowered her voice to answer like I could not OBVIOUSLY see them moving their lips and talking about me behind the glass. They lowered it enough that I could only hear a couple of phrases like "Well obviously she...." The little eye rolls didn't escape me either. Seriously...that just solidifies why I closed my Bank of America accounts. These basic transactions shouldn't be this difficult and judgmental.

Was in to cash a check for my elderly aunt who has been banking with B of A for well over 55 years. I was told that there would be an $8 fee because I have no account. I told the teller why I was there and could not believe they would not waive the fee. My aunt has several accounts with them, personal and business so I asked to speak to the manager figuring he'd look into my aunts accounts and waive the fee. I was told no. I can't tell you how this lack of customer service has left me wondering how they stay in business, but they do. Something got to change here!

I rarely write reviews. Would give it ZERO stars if I could. The customer service here is horrible. Worst than WalMart. People here always have a bad attitude and they really don’t feel like helping you. Instead they turn you away like they don’t even want to help. No one here even has a smile.

Poor customer service. Best to try other banks, High Bank charges. To make a simple check deposit teller rudely advise that I should have complete a deposit form. Rudely asked to step aside to help next customer. Check was drawn on their bank yesterday could not have any funds.

If I can give this bank a 0 start I would. Make costumers almost one hour all so they can tell you they can only help you if you have and appointment. How stupid is this.
