The Team at Blue Cross Animal Hospital is amazing. Their patience, love, and genuine care for animals is so clear through their work! I have taken my animals here for almost 10 years and recommend all my family and friends! Just recently, our lab got diagnosed with cancer and Dr. Sean and his team were so caring and explained everything through the process. Our boy had to get his front leg amputated and even though we were so scared, the guidance from Dr. Sean and his team made us feel at ease. They continue to check on him and are always willing to answer any questions and concerns we may have. I don't trust anyone else with my animals and we're so grateful to have found this place!

Dr. Sean has been caring for our fur babies for many years. I recommend him to all my friends and family who are looking for an honest and caring vet. He really takes the time to assess the situation and explains everything thoroughly. You can tell he genuinely cares about the animals he treats. I'm thankful we have a vet and staff that we can trust with important members of our family.

Dr. Rodriguez and his staff are the best! I've been taking my pups here for the last 5 years, and they always take the best care of them. He is honest, compassionate, and professional, and his staff is very welcoming. I highly recommend Blue Cross to anyone looking for an honest and affordable vet!

By the way, I've received a lot of weird comments probably trying to make me delete my review. So keep that in mind. Don't trust reviews just because they say "ohh the staff is so nice" being nice doesn't make you good at your job! Please trust reviews talking about medical procedures, at the end of the day being nice doesn't save lives. And for the people harassing us stop being disrespectful just because I'm leaving a bad review on a place you like, this is not just an internet thing or a review thing, MY DOG DIED, A MEMBER OF MY FAMILY, A DOG THAT WAS EVERYTHING TO US, of course I'm going to leave a bad review, please turn on your brain and have some empathy. I don't know if your goal is for us to delete the reviews, but it's obviously not happening, so if you are so upset about it just ignore it.

Dr. Sean has taken care of my dogs for nearly 15 year. When I have decided to that enough is enough, and it's time to put them down, Dr. Sean has doubled down his effort and found solutions that are manageable. I travel for work and camp alot. When my border collie, Dottie, started rapidly losing weight and became incontinent I was ready to finalize the path and get a new dog. I love my Dottie, but she had run the course. Dr. Sean said there must be a reason and we must find it. He even took her home to his family for one night so he could get a stool sample. Turned out she had some pancreatic disorder not common to older dogs and I star giving her a daily pill. She made it 3 more years as the matriarch of the other 2 pooches and wagged her tail every day I came home from work. Great guard dog, great 15 years with her.

I've been a loyal client of Blue Cross Animal Hospital for many years and have consistently received outstanding care from Dr. Sean M. Rodriguez and his team. Their dedication to animals and their owners is truly exceptional. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff have always gone above and beyond, from staying late to provide emergency care to offering financial assistance to ensure that animals in need receive the treatment they require. Their commitment to animal welfare is evident in everything they do. While I've seen some negative reviews, I can personally attest to the professionalism and compassion of the team at Blue Cross. They handle every situation with care and empathy, and their positive impact on countless pets and families speaks volumes about their dedication. If you're looking for a veterinary team that genuinely cares and provides top-notch care, I highly recommend Blue Cross Animal Hospital. Their long-standing reputation for excellence and their unwavering commitment to animals make them a trustworthy choice for any pet owner.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE
On July 17th we decided to take our pet Niru (female long hair chihuahua about 5/6 pounds) to this hospital since she wasn’t drinking water and eating as normal. The vet decided to take Niru’s bloodwork, X-rays and an ultrasound, plus a physical exam, then we were told that she had Pyometra and needed surgery ASAP (they said that the surgery would not be very risky because she was very healthy besides the pyometra). They took her in at about 4:00 pm and said that they would probably be done by 6/6:30 pm, but they didn’t call us back until 8:00 pm. When they let us in we were informed that they were not able to “return her from the anesthesia”, but showed us a picture of the surgery going “well”, they took us in to see her and Dr. Sean M. Rodriguez (he did the surgery). My baby Niru was in terrible conditions, she wasn’t able to breathe on her own plus neurological and heart failure, her eyes were open but there was no response at all. Then the doctor proceeded to say a bunch of things that were completely inconsistent, first they tried to explain that she was just having a hard time waking up and suddenly change his story to say that the infection had gone to her brain or to her blood when 4 hours prior she was very healthy and had no proof of infection in her blood and was completely conscious. Then they were insisting on taking her to a different hospital because they didn’t have the proper equipment to have her there and that they “were closed already” so no one could stay there to watch her and take care of her when they perfectly knew that she was not able to breathe on her own, so our only options were leaving her there the whole night to d!3 alone or to take her somewhere else and have her d!3 on the car ride. At this point they were just insisting on us to leave because they needed to clock out. Please be aware of this place, they’re not prepared to perform the surgeries they offer and we are very very concerned about their anesthesia procedures (everything points to an anesthesia 0v3rd0s3). Obviously our baby didn’t make it and I truly hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else, they ruined our lives and took 0 accountability about this. They lack empathy and resources to be working with animals
Nothing will bring our baby back, but I truly want to help avoid this pain for any other families.

Terrible place!
If you think your pet needs surgery, DO NOT TAKE IT THERE FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD!
I took my little girl because she had stopped eating and drinking, when they checked her they told me she had pyometra and they would have to operate on her, they did physical tests, blood tests, X-rays, and an ultrasound, when I asked if there were risks they told me not many because all his organs and heart were fine.
They were approx. At 4:00pm, from 6:00 to 6:30 they would call me to pick it up. We were out there until 8:00pm when they let us in to inform us that they were not being able to “return her from anesthesia” that they would take us to see her with Doctor Sean M Rodriguez. When we passed by, my little girl was in terrible condition, neurologically, with heart failure and not being able to breathe on her own. (I had to have a mask with oxygen), with eyes open but without consciousness, my entire existence was torn apart when I saw her like that, I didn't understand anything,
The worst thing was hearing him say a bunch of nonsense justifying his condition, (I've had dogs all my life and it wasn't the first time one had undergone surgery, and I've seen them immediately after each one of them, none of them had ever looked like that). She NEVER managed to react well from the anesthesia, the doctor said many inconsistencies, that if the infection had gone to her brain, that if her blood had been contaminated, etc... When they did ALL the necessary tests before the operation, They told us that they did not have the conditions to have her like this, that we had to make the decision to have her stay there overnight WITHOUT MEDICAL SUPERVISION, because they did not have the personnel for it, or try to take her to another nocturnal veterinary emergency hospital.
Literally, the options were “that she died at night alone in this clinic” or that she died “drowning” during the transfer.
They did not have ANY protocol or respiratory device to help us breathe during the transfer.
Because they already had to go home to rest.
Literally, they were already trying to run us out of the clinic.
We looked for a place for her care and obviously she did not arrive alive, she left us 3 minutes before reaching the other place, in the car, unable to breathe, in my arms and with the desperation of wanting to revive her with the little we could do, At the hospital they tried to revive her but they only managed to make her heart beat and breathe “artificially” by intubating her, she was no longer there, her little eyes no longer had life, so they told us that we only had to apply euthanasia.
She was mentally well before entering the operation, reactive, she even arrived walking very well, I think there was a medical error regarding the anesthesia and operation.
Nothing is going to bring my baby back, this clinic destroyed my entire life, she was everything to me, I can't believe that a place where surgeries are performed is NOT prepared to face an emergency and serious situation like the one we had to experience .
I wish that no one else has to go through this great pain, where you think your pet will be well taken care of when IT IS NOT.
The worst thing is that the next day they opened NORMAL, and left a family immersed in pain, and trying to assimilate, because nothing will be the same again.
“Cheap is expensive”
