My fiancé brought her car here on the recommendation of a muffler shop after her catalytic converter was stolen. One O2 sensor was stolen in the theft and replaced by the muffler shop and the other sensor's condition was unknown. The check engine light was on. Mike "diagnosed" the car with 2 bad O2 sensors and a bad battery. He also spoke negatively of the muffler shop. Knowing one sensor was new, we immediately got our car out of this shop. After we took it to another shop, it was revealed both sensors are functional and the battery is fine. A simple fuse replacement solved the check engine light. Mike wanted to charge $750 for both sensors and also wanted to sell us a battery. Avoid this shop.EDIT (Reply to owner): Our insurance told us to run far away from this shop. The second shop visually demonstrated every problem to us. The fuse was bad. The O2 sensors and battery were functional. The terminals needed some service. That's it. And, yes, he accused the muffler shop owner of "using bad parts".

My wife and I have used Mike and Star Auto Electric for years without any complaints. There have been several times when he did not even charge me at all for working on our vehicles for minor things. This bit below in a negative review about Mike "only seeing the bottom dollar," I think is not true at all. He has always appeared to me to be a friendly and knowledgeable guy, but most of all, over the years he appears to me to be honest.

Super rude old man over the phone. I heard they do terrible jobs and over priced the ad charges that don’t even belong there please anybody who’s reading this go elsewhere. The shop is crooked and they’re very rude and disrespectful. Please go elsewhere.

A while ago I had a 1990 F250 that would not turn on, ignition key lock problems. These guys disassembled the steering wheel parts deep down inside and replaced the parts needed, a very specialized job. I appreciated the work but never thanked them on the internet. Feeling guilty. Now I have a Chinese diesel motor running a 3 phase generator with a bad starter. Feeling iffy about about asking them about a such an oddball starter/solenoid, not an off the shelf thing. I will give them a call and remind them of this post. Wish me luck. Starter wont throw and turn flywheel, tried several different batteries.Service: Electrical

Mike did a great job fixing up the A/C on my 2014 Mustang. Feels like new! Did more work in a shorter time, charging less than Ford would have. Glad I found a local shop with an old school pro. Thanks!

Star Auto Electric did a great job on figuring out the problem with my 2014 Ford F-150 on the DRIVERS DOOR ADJAR light that is on the dashboard instrument and they fixed it and no more ding, ding and telling me to shift it to park and close the door!

Very good with classic cars. My 1937 Dodge 2 door Coupe is a 6 volt system. This electric wiz can handle it.

This shop is the real deal! It was a pleasure to be there. I had a new battery installed when it didn't start after an oil change and called AAA to replace it, as the one I had was still under an extended warranty. After turning the ignition switch, the car died - no power. I took my car to a dealer but they were short on staff due to COVID, and didn't appear to have the knowledge on-site to quickly diagnose the problem. After several days with no answers, they were cool with me taking my car to the experts. Mike tested the battery while I was there and said he would follow up this afternoon, and he did. He and his coworker diagnosed the issue within two hours, and the cost to repair is reasonable. He apologized that he couldn't complete the job today but I just got it there mid-afternoon, so totally understandable. I should have taken it to the exeprts in the first place!
