Working wit Select Physical Therapy in Monrovia has been great. I had called around to at least 5 or 6 different PT places in the area and either did not get a reply back to a message left or was told they are understaffed and had a wait list of 3 months or was faced with "we don't take insurance and our first session is $300 and we can give you a code for you to take care of insurance." My first call with Select was great, Lisa, was informative and helpful. It took a few weeks to get in but not 3 months! They sent me paperwork via email and it helped to have that taken care of beforehand. I was greeted with a very nice receptionist and the check-in went smoothly. My PT is Hannah Encinias who is so great and so knowledgable. We are working with Mark who is in training and he is equally nice and really making sure he does a great job. Hannah set up my weekly appointments, made it so easy for me! During the session Hannah is there with him the whole time and checking what he tells me and she's also looking at my form and asking me questions about my injury. I would highly recommend this place if you are in need of rehabilitation.

I highly recommend this office. Tara at reception desk is so friendly and kind. My Therapist is Hannah. She's the best. With one treatment of Epley Manuever my BPPV disappeared. She's shown me exercises for my neck which I can do at home. All the people here are great!! I'll be returning if I need any fu

If I could give Select Physical Therapy Monrovia 8 billion stars I would. Talk about a PT staff changing my life. I was paired with Olivia after being in a car accident. They worked with such care and kindness to get me back to feeling better, with a newfound understanding of how to stretch my pain areas. I am so grateful for Olivia and Brian (who sang me the Graduation Song after my last session). The staff is hilarious, kind, knowledgeable and the absolute best.

Brian is hands down the best physical therapist! His expertise and personalized approach made my sessions incredibly effective. He's friendly, supportive, and knows how to make PT feel like a breeze. The results speak for themselves - I had knee surgery back in August and I feel great. Big thanks to Brian and the rest of the team for the excellent service! Highly recommend!

A terrible place to try to make an appointment. My insurance sent me here, and after 3 phone calls, finally got through. They lost my insurance information and said sorry, we can't schedule you. Disorganized, unprofessional, and careless.

I highly recommend Select Physical Therapy in Monrovia. The healing journey begins with Tara, who is the Patient Service Specialist. She was my initial contact and answered all of my questions and concerns. Tara listens to me and responds with care and respect. The physical therapy and the occupational therapy teams also show the same respect and care. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming and it is the best place to recover and heal. Maria L.

I was late to my first appointment (recorded the time wrong) and pleaded my case to Ms. Martini (very cool name), and she listened and understood and did her best to still accommodate me. She talked with the therapist, and they were able to still accommodate me and provided me with a full appointment and evaluation. Learned a lot from the therapist and was taught exercises that hopefully will help. Ms. Martini took the time to schedule all my future appointments and provided me with a printout of them so I would not forget and/or get confused. This PT facility is excellent - highly recommend them.

I am a patient at select physical therapy. I am welcomed by the receptionist with a warm and gracious demeanor, always most helpful with scheduling my appointments and meeting any cares or concerns that I may have. My care team is exceptional at providing me with the best physical therapy. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you all very much for being so kind and supportive to me.

I was diagnosed with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and it recommended that I undergo a quick, non-invasive surgery. The possibility of undergoing surgery alarmed me, and I sought alternative treatments. My neurologist referred me to Select Therapy, and the rest is history. Nicolaus, the hand specialist occupational therapist, treated me first and then, with the proper diagnosis by my orthopedic specialist, Olivia D.'s physical therapy team helped me with the appropriate treatment therapies for the past year. Due to their efforts, care, and expertise, I am pain-free today. I am very thankful to Nicolas, Olivia, Hanna, Brian, Antonio, Tara, interns, and the rest of the team at Select Therapy. The team genuinely are the medical professionals who care for their patients.

Came to this office to asses ongoing shoulder pain from a lifting injury (yes it was barbell bench press). It was incredibly easy to set up appointments. The staff are like a little family and treat you like you are also family. I felt like any concerns I had with my pain were addressed and considered in the therapy exercises I was given. The exercises were also easy to repeat at home which is nice since I don't have much equipment. I appreciate that this is a learning facility as well, it is nice to support students in healthcare. Highly recommend!

Beware! I have great Insurance but this facility has kept me hanging for 9 days now waiting for approval. I am a hand surgery patient, and they are not in any rush to help me out with the therapy I need. There doesn't seem to be anyone at the "helm" at the office. The Supervisor works from home, so the Office staff runs rampant. Many of them leave early, or don't come in at all. The one poor receptionist doesn't seem to know a whole lot of anything when you ask him questions. There isn't anyone else there that is knowledgeable enough to answer simple questions. I put out 4 requests during the day for Jennifer, the Supervisor to call me. This was at 10am. Well, it is almost 6pm. NO CALL!! That's how much any of these people care! Rather embarrassing. I will give them until tomorrow. After that, I will probably have to go to another facility. Maybe you should avoid the frustration you're going to suffer at this facility, if you can.

I went there once and will not be returning...1. I'm not a fan of the front desk (female) receptionist.. her attitude was lackluster;2. As other reviewers previously stated: I didn't appreciate being treated by an INTERN/STUDENT. The professional protocol to have followed would have been to advise me PRIOR to the start of the appointment that my "physical therapist" would actually be an intern. This is referred to as INFORMED CONSENT/INFORMED DECISION-MAKING. Granted, the intern's supervisor was present the entire duration of my appointment, however, she still neglected to talk to me about my opinion re: being treated by her student. As stated above, I won't be returning.

DO NOT AGREE TO SIGN A MEDICAL LIEN IF YOU HAVE INSURANCE CONTRACTED WITH SELECT THERAPY. This facility wanted to force my elderly father to sign a medical lien to receive services eventhough they are contracted with his insurance. He was in car accident and his insurance, Medicare, is aware of the accident and willing to pay for all his medical care as he is elderly and cannot afford to pay out of pocket. The way it works is that the insurance company puts a lien against any settlement but in the meantime continues to provide much needed health care. This facility prefers to have a "policy" which is an ABSOLUTE SCAM in order to financially benefit from car accidents. They treat the patients but definitely want to benefit from it. No other doctor or facility we have seen has done this as they are always supposed to go through insurance first unless the insurance is unwilling to authorize services. A medical lien is an agreement you sign to receive services when the facility does not take your insurance or when you cannot afford to pay out of pocket. Typically they charge 8-10 times the amount of their cash prices and that is how facilities benefit from it. So instead of someone being responsible for the $80 cash price, they are forced to pay 8-10X that amount at the tune of $640-$800 per session. This is a scamy and horrible necessity in case a person has no insurance or means to pay. Select Therapy is contracted with Medicare and yet they want to force the lien. They scheduled my father for his session weeks ago and cancelled his appointment two days before because they wanted to avoid using insurance! An insurance that is willing to pay for his treatment. They cancelled 2 days before and have now jeoperdized the continuation of his treatment. I am my father's caretaker and HIPPA authorized representative. OLIVIA, one of the physical therapists at this location stated that she didnt want to speak with me nor cared if I had these authorizations because in her mind I needed to sign their billing authorization. She advised me to have my dad drive to a location to pick up a form to allow me to be his advocate. HIPPA form trumps all that but she said "she wasnt well versed and her marketing manager advised her not to speak with me." Well of course speaking to someone who is well versed must present a problem when you are being unethical. OLIVIA, next time put a patients well being above your ego. It is unacceptable to be so disorganized that you have to cancel an appointment two days before. It is unprofessional for you not to know the rules and policies of the insurance companies you are contracted with. It is unprofessional to say "well im not well versed but I cant speak with you." I offered to email or drop off the HIPPA form and like a clueless employee, she just said Im going to disconnect the call. Your "marketing manager KERRY is clearly also completely unaware of the policies insurance companies have in these cases. Money over patient care. Nice job Select Therapy.

The PT I spoke with is very nice, but beware - I waited two weeks for an appointment and then 25 min at the place when I walked in (5 min late) and then was basically "treated" by a student. The student did the entire intake, which lasted all of five minutes (usually PT intakes are 15 min or more) with the PT sitting nearby writing notes on sticky notes and asking 1-2 questions. Then the student - not the PT- used something to stretch my muscles by rubbing a utensil on them. Then the student - not the PT - gave me a sheet with exercises to do at home and DID NOT have me do any exercises while I was there. Then the PT told me he'd be out of town for three weeks, but was having someone cover him. The front desk has an obligation to tell you that 1) you will not be treated by a PT, but will be treated by a student and 2) you will not be able to get two appointments a week because they are too busy.
