This place deserves zero stars. Chaffey Auto Body was recommended to me by the Metro Infiniti dealer. I went here to repair a door I had damaged when someone backed into me in the parking lot. Chaffey did a piss poor paint job as if they used low quality paint or just a poor job prepping for paint. Check the photos I posted here on my silver Infiniti. Over time, the paint has serious fading and scatches on it's own. Garbage work. What a joke this place is.Looks like this address is now Caliber Collision. Maybe Chaffey just couldn't cut it. Not surprised.

Beware. Unorganized and inept. To start off with, the incorrect windshield was ordered/installed. When the correct windshield was installed, the technician gouged the Passenger side illuminated kick plate and plastic molding. The paint was not mixed correctly and multiple applications were required which in the end was still unsatisfactory. Also, the inner hood surface had clear coat applied which we discussed in advance and he understood and agreed to not paint this surface in order to maintain a factory appearance. Because of the aforementioned, I paid a $900 rental fee over/above my deductible. Juan should have accepted and paid this bill because the delay/extension was due to the his shop’s workmanship/rework. During the process I scheduled a call with the Manager at the Car Rental company, Juan and myself and during the call he said he would take care of the entire bill. He later refused to pay the bill and said he was upside down on the job. I told him that was his fault and I should not be responsible for the delays and his company ordering the wrong materials and completing the unsatisfactory work.We also discussed, and it was understood he would have a wheel tech review "only" one of my hyper silver wheels for a small area of curb rash. Juan was supposed to call me once the tech arrived so I could drive over from work and speak with the tech and decide whether to proceed. I was not called, the work was completed without my consent and the work was unacceptable. It looked as if someone applied putty to the OD of the wheel without finishing and then painted the section grey which was an absolute mismatch. When I came over that day to check-in he acknowledged not calling me and said, “his bad”.Simply put, Juan does not follow basic instructions and the quality of his shop's work is poor. It leaves no question now why they were/are not a Kemper preferred shop. This was one of the worst business transactions/experiences I have encountered. If I require auto body repair in the future I will not consider any shop he is affiliated with.I was referred to Chaffey Auto/Juan by a Service person at Metro Infiniti where I purchased my new QX60. After the episode occurred I did understand why the Service person referred me to him since Metro Infiniti had a preferred shop for their vehicles in Pasadena nor did I understand why the Pasadena shop was not mentioned during our conversation/referral. I asked the service person about this after I received an email from Metro Infiniti informing me of the Pasadena shop and got a non-answer.

Let me start by saying that I've never written a bad review about any business that I have been too, but my experience with Juan (the owner/manager) at Chaffey Auto Body was so terrible and unprofessional that I had to express publicly the kind of business ethics that he thinks are acceptable. I went to Chaffey on the suggestion of Mercury Insurance (which was the insurance of the guy who hit me) to get an estimate on my 09 Honda Civic that was rear ended. Prior to coming here, I had gotten an estimate at Fletcher Auto Body for around $3000. The first thing Juan told me when I came in was that he needed to "tear down the bumper" to get an estimate and that I had to leave the car overnight for a technician to arrive. Please note that this is his scam to charge you a $120-$240 "tear down fee" if you choose to to take your car elsewhere after the estimate. The first thing I thought of when he said this was why does he need to tear down the bumper if the damage is all very visible and the previous place I had taken it to gave me an estimate right away. That should have been a red flag, and as soon as he said that I should have walked out. I decided to leave my vehicle with him on a Saturday morning and he told me that he would call me with an estimate the following day. I did not get an estimate from Juan till the following Wednesday. The estimate that was given to me was $6043, which made my jaw drop because the damage was not nearly that bad, and that was more than twice the amount that the previous body shop had given to me. In addition, he told me that the car would require an extra 3-4 weeks to be repaired. I immediately told him that I wanted a second opinion and requested to pick up my car. It was around 3pm and he said, "I don't have a technician available to put the bumper back on your car, you will need to pick it up in the morning". Even though the place was open till 6, I did not make a big deal about this. When I came in to pick up my car the next morning, the car was still not ready and he made me wait an additional 30 minutes for the car to be ready. When he returned the car to me, the gas light was on, which was something that I had never experienced prior. He insisted that it was nothing that he had done even though we had both acknowledge that the gas light was not on prior to me leaving the car with him and said it most likely had to do with the gas pressure which was completely ridicules. Thank goodness I know something about cars because this is something that I would end up fixing on my own, which Juan did not even offer to help fix. What made things worse was that Juan refused to give me the keys to my car until I paid $120 for the tear down fee and said that he could charge me $240, but was being nice. I decided to cut my loses and take the car to the first place I had gotten an estimate. The people at Fletcher did an amazing job and my car looks brand new. They even fixed the door handle at no extra charge. Keep in mind if you take it to Chaffey, Juan will charge you top dollar for the repairs, and DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ALLOW HIM TO TEAR DOWN THE CAR PRIOR TO GETTING AN ESTIMATAE. You have been warned. If you insist on coming here, I recommend getting an estimate anywhere else before hand to compare the costs. Women especially be warned that Juan comes across as very nice and helpful when he first meets you. Once he has your car, it's a different story as he knows he is very much in control. I really did not want to write this review, but Juan left me with no other choice.

I love this shop, Juan is so awesome and explains everything to you. I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of and for me being a woman that's a big deal. I use this shop everytime I need work done and I recommend him to all my friends. I've never had someone complain about going to Chaffey.
