“I've shopped here for years. If you are looking for the best food prices in Amador, this is the most reasonable in produce, meats, dairy, eggs. (Breads and frozen foods are cheaper at Grocery Outlet.) The staff is always helpful and the cashiers remember you from week to week. They run incredible deals weekly and that really helps the overall price. I highly recommend Cost Less.”

“Came in for a long weekend trip and stopped in to grab some essentials. Upon walking in we were greeted by very friendly staff who were helpful to us. This market has all types of groceries and general goods. There is a large variety of drinks and food. The food at the deli in the back is great, and the service is top notch. We walked in with a large group and Lana accommodated us without a hitch. Can't stress enough how nice everyone was here.I'd definitely recommend stopping here if you need anything, or just want a quick bite.”

“Today was the 2nd time I stopped in here. The last time I was here, I was looking for tape to hold a part on my car. They didn't have tape but did have a nice bucket of Fruit for 2 bucks. So I got one and the fruit was sweet and juicy. Brenda, the young lady working was very nice and polite and gave me directions to the nearest hardware store. I stopped in today for another bucket of Fruit and to say hi to my new friend Brenda.”
“Normally great but today we got a cooked tri tip that was only half cooked or less. Would have been 5 stars, but if we weren't at home and able to re cook it would have been wasted. This is the only bad experience I've had at the store, so that's why it's still 4 stars.”

“I have always shopped at Raley’s for most of life and have always been happy. This location is on the newer/nicer side compared to the ones where have lived. They had everything that I needed at a fair price with friendly staff.”

“Service was okay. I appreciate treats being there and appreciate almost always their service. They sliced their meats very thick in the deli meat section. I like my sandwich meats sliced very ultra thin. Unfortunately just asking them to slice the meat always seems like you're asking them to bake a cake or something else. They always get his look on their face like "oh no my god this is horrible I have to slice something" either they're super lazy or just a pain because they slice their meat really thick. Maybe they just shouldn't slice them ahead of time. Or maybe lots of people that buy their meats bologna or turkey like I'm thick. Other than that I like treats. It is a bit on the pricey side but then that's just retail in a little town in the country.”

“This is a gas station with a nice little convenience store. The store has the usual snacks & candy plus some more substantial food like frozen pizzas and cold sandwiches. The regular selection of sodas, water gatorades, etc. is decent as are the selections of liquor & beer. Stage Stop (what locals call Frontier Station) is open until 10 pm (which is later than most places here in UpCountry). Staff is friendly & I've always had positive experiences visiting here!”
“You know you've reached peak adulthood when you get excited parking and you see the tri tip being bbq out front!! Every since moving here Mar-Val is our go to store. All the cashiers are friendly! Regardless if you need produce, some sushi, a delicious sandwich or bread pudding you will find it there & be greeted with a smile!”
“Great store, decent collection of food, cleaning supplies, pet products, toys, crafts, and cosmetics. Great deals. I got an 8 pack of black pens for $1. A standard pack of 4 pens at Staples is $4.99. I saved $9 on what would be 8 pens. I love it and it’s the perfect place to take your family and buy good products for less!”

“The best grocery store in town. Excellent customer service. Favorable deli counter. AWESOME bakery & staff with the best goodies! ( Suggest the cinimin rolls!!!) The meat counter has great selections for all meals. I like their Marinated Meats. Safeway also has a wide selection of fresh & local produce & Flowers For The Wife... Also, they need to recognize their liquor department. Can I say SELECTIONS!!! My family loves the Safeway shopping center in Jackson, Ca. From Safeway Gas, PetCo, American tires , and Starbucks to Game stop this shopping center has a lot of everything my family needs... This Safeway is just a GREAT STORE, only one thing.Just wish their pet section was a bit bigger & better...”

“The Auto Service Center is run very well by an employee named Michael. They have the oil change prices by far and the staff although new is very well trained. A shout out to Ben & Mike, new employees working with Michael. The staff installed new wipers purchased at Walmart free of charge and I received an oil change requiring an extra quart with a new filter for under $30. It took about 30 minutes which I spent shopping for groceries at Walmart.”
“My headlights were in really bad shape. It was almost to the point where they were too dull to drive at night. I had a headlight restoration cleaning done at the automotive department. Cody did a beautiful job! Wish the rest of my car looked as good. $27. Best deal to get it done. Thank you!”
