Incredibly expensive. They wanted to charge us 3k to help our cat's infection. On the bill they had a $200 misc fee. When we were waiting, a girl who worked there came in and asked "so can you pay that or what?". Completely insensitive and inconsiderate. And no we could not pay that. The three stars is because we got our bill down and they did help our cat after 6 hours of being there.

My poodle had something wrong with her right front paw. The clinic didn't seem to be busy but they sure took a while just to evaluate the problem. After seeing the vet they said there wasn't "anything wrong" other than possible arthritis.. The bill was over $700.

this "vet" charged me $700 JUST to tell me my dog had an "accidental THC consumption" and when we said that was literally impossible they scrambled to find another solution: "oh puppies just have stomach bugs sometimes" EXCUSE ME??? HELLO?? you charged me $700 to tell me that? Shannon Snook is a GOD awful doctor. this was disgusting im never bringing my poor baby back here. The audacity to accuse me of something like that? you people disgust me. DO NOT COME HERE. THEYLL OVER CHARGE THE LIFE OUT OF YOU, AND ONCE THEY REALIZE THEYRE WRONG THEYLL SCRAMBLE FOR AN ANSWER. what a sorry excuse for a vet. i excepted more from a mostly woman run business. this was so pathetic. im going in next week and DEMANDING A REFUND. i will not be treated like a god damn criminal. this does NOT END HERE.

Took my cat, who has failing kidneys, in as an emergency last night because she had blood in her eye. The vet said they triage animals based on emergency and had my mom wait 5 hours to see the cat. Once they finally saw my cat they said they would have to run further tests that would cost a lot of money (which I understand that's not the issue). They took so long our cat sat in its own urine. They could have communicated from the jump that they don't consider a blood shot eye an emergency and they would need to run more tests rather than making my mom wait for 5 hours before even LOOKING at our pet. If you don't think it's an emergency and know tests are needed, why not share that from the beginning? Edit: the photos are 12 hours after the initial concern/visit.

I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and concern regarding an incident that occurred on January 6th involving our six-week-old Yorkie puppy. We were compelled to seek emergency veterinary care due to symptoms indicative of hypoglycemia, a condition we have unfortunately encountered before with our puppies. Upon finding our regular veterinarian at Village Oak unavailable due to their lunch break, we reluctantly chose to visit Stanford Veterinary Clinic, despite being aware of its less-than-favorable reviews. After an initial wait of approximately an hour, a technician informed us that the attending veterinarian suggested a Parvo test. We found this recommendation to be quite unnecessary, considering the puppy's age, its confined upbringing in our home, and our diligent efforts to prevent exposure to external environments known for such risks. The professional conduct of the veterinarian was, to put it mildly, deeply disappointing. His demeanor was patronizing, and his approach to our concerns was dismissive. When questioned about the necessary tests, he proposed a battery of expensive procedures, including CAT scans and X-rays, amounting to an estimate of around $7,000. This seemed exorbitant, especially given the commonality of hypoglycemia in Yorkshire Terriers. We considered the option of monitoring the puppy at home, to which the veterinarian responded with a rather inappropriate and unprofessional analogy, comparing our situation to "blindly trying to land a plane on a foggy mountainside." Such a remark was neither helpful nor relevant to our situation. Furthermore, after a lengthy and costly wait, we discovered that no significant treatment had been administered to our puppy during this time. This lack of communication and apparent inaction was unacceptable, especially considering the urgency of our visit and the substantial fee charged. My fiancé, who holds a significant position in the medical field, felt compelled to address these issues directly with the veterinarian, whose only excuse for his behavior was his work schedule. This is no justification for poor service and unprofessional conduct. I must stress that I do not recommend this veterinary clinic. Their monopoly as the only emergency service in the area does not excuse substandard care. For those who might find themselves with no alternative but to visit this clinic, I strongly advise against consulting with the veterinarian in question. Out of respect for privacy and professionalism, I will refrain from naming the individual directly but will note that his name begins with one of the last three letters of the alphabet. This experience has left us deeply troubled and disappointed, and we hope that by sharing our story, others might be spared a similar ordeal.

My 13 yr old dog Milk Tea had collapsed and went limp/unresponsive Tuesday afternoon and I quickly rushed him here. They were able to see him right away and kept him for about 7 hours. Dr. Cunningham saw him and talked me through what was happening and told me he was looking more stable and was now responsive. My dog had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure about 3 years ago, so I knew this day was coming. She had let me know his time was very near and that it would just get harder from here on out as he was in his final stages of CHF. They also found out that he was also in the early stages of diabetes and had kidney stones. She gave me the option to put him to sleep and stop his suffering early on or also try some new medication for his heart and see how much longer he can fight CHF. I knew that I didn't want him to suffer and be on anymore medication because he fought a long strong 3 years with this illness. But I also didn't want to put him to rest if he still had some life in him. She understood and supported my decision and I took him home that night. When I first saw Milk Tea when picking him up from the vet he was very happy to see me and looked like he was doing better but as the night progressed I knew it was his time. The next morning me and my husband knew what we should do, and as tough as it was, made the decision to put him to rest before he got any worse. We took him in at 9am and were pleasantly surprised that Dr.Cunningham was there to assist us. She was so kind and gentle with our dog and also with me and my husband reassuring us and supporting our decision. She let me hold him while she did the euthanasia process and was so sweet with him saying kind words and also gave him a kiss on the forehead, which made my heart so full that a kind genuine person was with us through this difficult moment. Milk Tea definitely felt loved and safe in his final moments and we want to thank Dr.Cunningham and her staff for that. Overall, this very difficult experience was made a little bit easier by Dr.Cunninghams kindness and also the staff in the front/nurses that assisted us. Everybody was very kind and I will be recommending my family and friends to come here in case of an emergency.

Unfortunately had to put my childhood kitty down on the 23rd of December. Decided to bring him here to have everything done. They answered the phone with care, talked me through pricing which was accurate, they were so kind and considerate of what we were going through. They gave us as much time as we needed with my boy before having it all be done. They talked us through pricing before anything had been done, got it all finalized and got to say our goodbyes for as long as we needed. As soon as we rang the bell, the doctor came in talking in a very low and calm voice, explaining every single step before and after they were done. That's the first time I've been in the room while that was happening. I felt very safe and I was happy to have been there for my baby. He let us know when he put the sleepy meds in, when the final syringe was injected, and when he was gone. They gave us some time after to say our final goodbyes. They picked him up not even 2 minutes after it was done. We got his ashes a few days later. They gave him to us in a beautiful wooden box with his name engraved into it, prints of his paws, a cremation certificate, his ID tag from the cremation center and a beautiful card with everyone in the office who signed it saying that they're sorry for my loss. I can't say enough good things about this place. They made a sad and heartbreaking day feel calm, safe and peaceful for me and my boy. He looked extremely comfortable, all wrapped in a warm blanket. He went very very peacefully. He would've been 19 in 4 months from then. He was 18 years and 9 months old, so he lived a happy long life with lots of love. Fly high my beautiful boy and thank you to this vet for making the experience as good as it could've been.

Yep. Agree with most if not all of these single star reviews. They were fine over at the old location, but here, they really are something else. Almost get the feeling that they treat you that they are God's gift to your pet. They changed into a money making machine. It's just crazy, the difference. Rarely fix the issue, but want to sell you up on everything. Won't see your dog without their "wellness check", which is 80.00, and might take 2 minutes. It's a BS check/charge. "OK, well the teeth look good!". Most of the time, they point the finger at the food, and expect you to pay 800/mo. on some other dog food. Then change the food recommendation the following year. Super slow and not responsive on prescriptions. And.....so much staff!! Not doctors, but minimum wage people that block you from talking to the doctor, and from coming in the front door. LOL. It is quite the system they have there. A lot of folks to process the cash flow. Just watch for it at your first visit. Go in with your eyes open, if you must go in there at all. Just too many bad experiences here to continue to go. Too much detail to share here. We do have many other choices.

If I could give zero I would. My friends Came in to help with a puppy our Frenchie gave birth to (to remove a limb that was already pretty much detached) for 500 then charged another 500 for a ultrasound just to see how many more puppies the Frenchie still had to birth. just to have to come back hours after they released her for an emergency c section where it was 3,000 that we couldn't pay and there only alternatives was pay the full amount or get this credit card (which we weren't approved for) or get a Loan ( which also wasn't approved for). However because they previously already dropped a grand on these previous charges they can't afford 3 grand since they had already had a c section planned for a grand which was there savings the Frenchie gave birth day of but early morning. Anyways they refused to help her resulting in her not only losing the two babies still left in her but also to get sick over night since there only other recommendation was to get an abortion for cheap at a nearby place the next morning which also requires her to be spayed. So glad to know this vet place fucking sucks and gives no shit about you or your pet just your money and in todays economy that's fucking sad since my friends saved up to be prepared just to have to go to an er unexpected and have some soulless place kick you out.

Worst pet ever because of them my baby passed away the next day they took my baby from me. They charged me thousands to tell me he was OK when they gave him back to me he was almost dead and he ended up passing away at home with us, and his siblings, this is the worst that you could ever go to. If you love your fur babies do not for the life of God do not take them here they are mean and rude and all they care about is money. Do not take your pets here please my baby was like my son, and now he's gone forever the vet tech with the lazy eye is a horrible person, and so are the females up in the front desk do not trust this place!!

Excellent customer service and staff goes above and beyond! From checking in to checking out my visit here was such a great experience for me and Mimi. I was in need of an emergency Echo and staff members Karla and Lupita took the time to get us in asap. Technician was super nice and sweet. I kept receiving updates as I waited in the waiting area which was very much appreciated. We left that place happy and satisfied! Absolutely loved this place for all their help and great support. Rate 10 stars !!!!

So far so good. Crowslanding one of my pets went in to be fixed, died, and came back and hasn’t been the same. Standiford has been professional and so far all animals are still meowing and barking!

Super overpriced. This office is worse than all creatures in Stockton. The staff has no sense of urgency. Too many receptionist that don't do anything and barley acknowledge you . They are so bored they start cleaning but can't even come check on the patients. not enough technicians. Do not show any empathy what so ever. Of course there is always going to be a wait however they don't even check on you or your pet. Leave you in the waiting room for minimum 1.5 before you even get a the estimate while your poor fur baby is scared and hasn't even been treated. It's unfortunate that your limited on 24 hour hospitals.
