I needed something for a Christms eve event. My husband suggested the Botique. He knows of the shop so I had his blessing in choosing something for myself both for Christmas and an upcoming birthday. Both ladies were very pleasant and helped me in choosing wonderful items. They helped me in having a great day. Thank you. CQ

Very nice, however, a bit pricey for Modesto to be honest. The sales aren't really all that good either. There are too many other places to go

I only gave it a 3 star rating because of the help I received from 2 sales people. They were very kind and helpful. A third person accused me of shoplifting or planning to shoplift because I was using a gift (money had been placed on deposit with the store) and not my own money. This third person was rude, not unlike the shop girls Julia Roberts encountered in Pretty Woman. Heidi

The Boutique is a shopping destination for Modesto. I felt compelled to leave a review after seeing how many unfair reviews had been posted. When you shop in a boutique you can anticipate a wide array of specialty items at various price points. The Boutique has something for everyone. I love all the different categories available. I can get dressed from head to toe. The buyer, has an exceptional eye and knows her market. I am always able to find something I love no matter the season. If you want something unique and of high quality craftsmanship, I would go to The Boutique. You won't find better shopping in Modesto.

Honestly very disappointed with how I was treated by the worker there. I am from Oregon visiting family, while I was waiting to go help a family member I did a bit a shopping and stopped in there to look around.I obviously wasn't dressed to impress as I was going to work for the family we are visiting after, but as soon as I walked in the customer service lady, older woman, followed me everywhere!!I really liked this dress I saw but as I was being judged from the worker and basically ran out, I decided they didn't deserve my business. So thank you for being judgemental and rude, because I don't support businesses like that.And you judging me based on my looks is very disappointing, I guess you missed my brand new 2021 Dodge Durango when I pulled in. Not that it should matter!!!

A family friend recommended this place after watching my hair grow down past my neck. But due to the whole covid thing, it was almost impossible to find someone open to cut hair. I had to make an appointment, which was a first for me. But I'm so glad I took the time! My hair-cutter was Lawrence. Very personable, made me feel like I had been going there for years, and man can that kid cut hair! Over the years I've been fortunate to have quite a few barbers, cosmetologists and beauticians in my family; Gene's Barber Shop, Dana's Tangles, and aunts n cousins who have cut my hair for ages. I know what to look for when someone cuts my hair for the first time. But since I have moved to the Valley, cuts aren't so easy to come by. I don't just let anybody cut my hair. Not only did this kid know the patterns, after using the scissors to take off 4 inches of barbarian, he used a shaving blade to cut, (scratch that), to transform my hair.The detail he was able to get by just using that blade is incredible. Maybe it was simply due to being the first haircut in over 8 months; maybe it was because of the atmosphere/ ambiance; maybe it was the great conversation...Yeah, it was all of that AND, the fact that that kid really knows his stuff. If he's the modest-type, I apologize for any embarrassment. But I gotta call 'em as I see 'em. -The best cut I've ever had. Much appreciated.DMHvettieUSN

My mother and I visited the boutique today. It was her birthday and I thought it would be nice to treat her to something nice. The two women greeted us upon entry, however, the followed us throughout the store the entire time. We demonstrated no suspicious behavior to give them any type of reason to suspect us being anything more than consumers. The experience made us mutually uncomfortable to the point that we left. Luckily, I had already gifted my mom a Burke Williams giftcard for she and her friends so I had no reliance on finding something there. I will continue to take my money to Walnut Creek where the associates do not treat customers suspiciously.
