The Vets and the Techs are very knowledgeable and more importantly they are very understanding of pet parents’ needs. They want you to know what is best for your pet and explain your options as far as care vs cost. They really work with you to make an intelligent decision about your pet!

Took my dog in on September 9th and the vet said that he had a heart murmur and prescribed him medications spent almost $400 or more. The next morning he was dead. I've had problems with these people when they were over there on Veterinary emergency on Prescott. I took my dog in Jackie to see if they could help him and I learned later that all the veterinarian had to tell me was to take him home and give him some activated charcoal. They didn't want to treat him at all because I got turned down for Care Credit and all she had to do was tell me that real simple procedure to do and it would absorb all of the poisons and tea tree oil that he had ingested. Instead she keep that information to herself. I talked to the Animal Poison Control Center and they advised me that they were going to look into it for me because that's the vet responsibility. Not only did they put money first put my dog's life last. Don't go there you'll be sorry. And believe all the hype with a lot of these beds put on their websites they're just they're just to lure you in.

The vets and vet assistants are very nice and good at their jobs. The receptionists like to power trip sometimes, can be very rude, and often seem slow at their jobs. If you call, expect be on hold for awhile. The prices are not good. Close to fair prices, given the quality of care, but certainly not good value. For the cost of services they could certainly afford to hire better receptionists.Wait times can also be pretty unreasonable. Perhaps understaffed but again feels like somebody is prioritizing high profits over a quality business.

My dog is about as nervous as a dog can be going to the vet, and isn't always the easiest patient to care for. It's a stressful experience for her which can make it a stressful experience for me as well. I have nothing but good things to say about Sylvan Veterinary Hospital and am so grateful for their caring, compassionate and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Roussell is fantastic and takes the time to listen to and discuss any concerns I have.

I have taken my dogs here for years and never had an issue but recently I took my dog in for swelling around her mouth and they checked her over and told me that she probably just had a tooth infection and prescribed her antibiotics. Within a few days she had a cough and ended up having a coughing attack and difficulty breathing. I called to try to make her an appointment and the lady on the phone was rude and said they didn’t have anything available for a week and a half. So I ended up taking her to the emergency vet they immigrated took her back and told me that she was in respiratory distress and ended up finding out that she had fluid around her lungs and that was causing the swelling. Sylvan Vet overlooked my dog and if it may have been found sooner then she may be in better condition. They also won’t get her in for a follow up appointment and were very rude over the phone. I honestly will never take my animals back after this.

I use to take my animals to this vet office because it was close to home. They're usually busy, quick with service, and a little pricey. That can be good or bad depending on your needs.I have 4 animals, and like to do annual check ups on them all. One of my cats has hyperthyroidism and needed to be tested to confirm if his medicine dosage was still effective, to be able to get more refills for the medicine. My male cat had already been seen at this office 3 times in the past year (has a file), and the office was verbally told as well as given medical diagnosis paperwork informing them of his hyperthyroidism diagnosis. I scheduled an appointment to have him tested to check what his thyroid levels were and to get a new prescription for his medicine. I explicitly asked if the test they were doing would provide thyroid results because this is what I need for the new prescription and was told they understood and provided pre-test care instructions (no food or water passed a certain time) and to give a sedative before coming in for their safety (normal for this male cat). I brought him in for his appointment, and it was done quick without issues (Cost = ~$200 for sedative and test). I received a call from the vet in a couple days to discuss the test results. The vet introduced herself and confirmed I was my cat's owner. The vet then informed me that my female cat's results were in and it looks like she has hyperthyroidism. However to be 100% sure they would like to run a test to check her thyroid levels again for comparison and asked if I wanted to get that scheduled (Cost= +$150). I informed the vet that my male cat does indeed have this diagnosis already (been about 2 years at this point), and that I'm not willing to pay for another test to receive a diagnosis he already has. We wrapped the call pretty quickly, and I haven't taken any of my animals back since.I highly recommend Ceres Veterinary Clinic or Standiford Veterinary Center over Sylvan Veterinary Hospital for your animal health needs.

The customer service has gone downhill. This use to be an outstanding office before they switched locations. I called and couldn’t get anyone on the phone. Then I sent a text with the text number they provide on their website and no response. I emailed twice and no reply. There have been times when I’ve been able to reach a staff member on the phone, but I’ve always had to wait a long time to get through.

We have been taking our pets to Sylvan Vet for years, ever since they were puppies. They have always been the most caring individuals; staff & doctors and we will never go anywhere else! We recently had an emergency with our senior dog and let me tell you Dr. Pam and her staff were absolutely fantastic! Dr. Pam and her staff stayed after hours to ensure we got our pet questions answered and the staffed helped us get our girl safely to the car so we could transport her to the hospital. During covid we also had an emergency, and that Dr came out to our car, he stayed and answered all our questions to make sure my husband was completely at ease with what our options were. Sylvan Vet Thank you for being so caring. Best in my opinion

Love this vet. The people here are all nice and the vet actually cares about our pets. They don’t do anything unnecessary just to up-charge. We bring all of our dogs and cats here.

They help TNR feral and semi-feral cats, and they do a good job of it. This last one had an abscess and was bleeding. They figured out where it was and fixed it. I thought he had gotten his paw stuck and broken claws, but there was too much blood for that. They knew and found the abscess. Feral kitty is neutered, vaccinated and enjoying his life again outside. No more starving kittens here ?

Our dog was in need of hospice services and this place was amazing. We had time to love her and be with her when she passed and never felt rushed or a burden. They were empathetic and treated our baby with dignity up until the end and beyond. We are eternally grateful!

I brought my dogs here a couple of times when we couldn't get in with our previous veterinarian. Our animals were treated with compassion and they were very thorough. Everything was explained and all our questions answered, not rushed out. I loved this office so much I applied for a job and that was the best decision of my life!!!! They go out of their way to make employees feel valued level of care is TOP notch ?

Wouldn't take may animals anywhere else. I've been using Sylvan for over a decade and I'm satisfied with the results. As a multi pet owner it's nice to know a reliable, caring and knowledgeable Doctors and technicians. Yes, I've had hiccups in the past that was resolved, but nothing I'd consider a danger or risk to my pets. I have had, less than desirable results from other Veterinarians offices that have put past pets in danger. I couldn't imagine being without Sylvan Veterinary hospitals, especially when I needed an vet and a therapist @4am..

LOVE Dr. Pam, Dr. Kakarla and the staff. They took such great care of our Rhodesian Ridgeback after Cherry Eye Repair surgery, including putting up with all of his crying. Our dog loves going to see the vet! Does it get better than that?
