I have used this vet twice, and received fantastic service from caring staff and really well skilled vets.
When the lab the blood test was sent to for my mare's Coggins test lost the sample, the vet came an hour drive to my house to redraw the blood that day for no charge. I had the results back in less than 24 hours so our trip went on as planned.
When I brought my beloved horse, whom I had for 25 years, for his final rest, I was given the most compassion that I have EVER had at a vet hospital. Over the last 50+ years of owning horses and doing a lot of rescue, I have never had such compassion from a vet and staff. This is absolutely the best equine vet in the Central Valley, hands down.

I’m so glad I was referred to this clinic to get my horses teeth floated and his shots. They made a ranch call for the procedure the doctor was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything and discovered some issues I don’t think I would of noticed. They didn’t even think twice or complain when we all found out it was irrigation day, they did their job even with wet feet. I’d highly suggest this vet for all your horses needs they go above and beyond and do amazing work. Thank you guys!

The vets are very knowledgeable very compassionate and let you know every step of the way what they're doing and what the outcome will be. I wouldn't trust my horses to anyone else.

Very compassionate staff. Anyone that's had to put a beloved pet down knows how difficult and heart wrenching it is. Doctor explained everything prior and made sure I was ok with it before she started.

Sweetest people around all the staff were more than nice. Dr sweet was the best. After dealing with multiple horrible experiences with pioneer and just moving out here and not knowing any vets I decided to come to sweet river. He took his time and gave his opinions on my horse and also gave me the option to tell him anything and everything I wanted done. Will be back this week to get all of my horses teeth done. This will definitely be the place I bring all of my horses from now on.

Dr Sweet save our horses life! He and his staff are amazing. We booked a after hours appointment, we had issues with our horse trailer and got.to out appointment 30 minutes late and they still saw us. He explained everything so thoroughly and helped us save our Annie's life! Will not trust our horses with anyone else.

I have been taking my horses and mule to Dr Sweet for many years. He has always had my animals interest in the forefront as to what is best for them in general everyday care or in emergencies. The office staff is excellent too and helpful.

Dr. Sweet and his crew are Caring and efficient. Dr. Sweet actually drove to UC Davis to help perform surgery on my beloved horse not only because he wanted to but it help cut the cost down for me. That was four years ago. I've been using Dr. Sweet ever sense. We had to go back today to have a mass surgically removed. Dr. did a wonderful job and handled my horse perfectly.

Dr. Dan Sweet and Dr. Kim Hauck are the best in the business. We first met Dr. Dan when he was still at Pioneer Equine, many years ago, before he set up is own facility in Modesto. He used to volunteer his time and knowledge with a clinic for farriers that was held for several years at the Oakdale Rodeo grounds. He is dedicated and knowledgeable, and his facility at Sweet River Equine Clinic is top notch.

I have been coming to Sweet River Equine Clinic for quite some time now. Dr. Sweet has always been amazing. I recently brought my rescue mini horse and was seen by Dr. Kim Hauck. She was so patient and kind. She addressed my concerns with him and very knowledgeable. I hope she likes working their as I will be back to see her with my horses.

Dr. Sweet is the best doctor for your horses. Not only is he highly skilled and knowledgible, but in my opinion, has the best customer service this side of the Mississippi! My husband and I have trusted our horses to Dr. Sweet on numerous occasions, from routine work, to unexpected ailments, and each visit we feel confidant that we are offering our drafts and saddle horse the best care possible. He is a fantastic vet and truly remarkable human being. I highly recommend Sweet River Equine Clinic and its staff.
