I called and asked if they could replace an RCA cable on my console for me. They refused. Said they have to do a full service or nothing at all. Sounds like a money grab to me but go off lol. I'm sure their full service is great if that's what you need but don't expect flexibility.Edit; yeah, I'm trouble shooting my equipment. I'm not a pro but I'm trying my best. The diagnostic is 80sum dollars out the gate, that's why I'm skeptical. Not because there is some conspiracy to make you liable lol. Get real

Louis repaired a vintage receiver that my Father left to me when he passed away. I have a lot of great memories of my teenage years that music played a big part. Christmas, New Years, birthdays....The receiver stopped working a short time after I set it up in 2008. I kept it, thinking I would get it repaired. 15+ years later, and a Google search brought me to Louis, THE STEREOADVISOR. The repaired receiver sounds better than I remembered, and is once again, a beautiful looking, and sounding member of my family. THANK YOU LOUIS!!!! Luis at stereo advisor resurrected my Technics receiver and most recently my mother in laws 1963 Motorola hifi that her parents bought new. It hadn’t worked in years. The record player was frozen in all of the electronics and capacitors need to be replaced. My mother-in-law cried hearing this thing work for the first time. If you have vintage electronics that you wanna see what you needed I highly recommend bringing them in.

Called last week was told I can take the stereo in Wednesdays or Saturdays so I drove over an hour on a Wednesday and I get here during business hours and they are closed. Waste of time

If you need to repair your stereo receiver, you can look for the cheapest person on the internet and spend money on shipping.If you're looking for a brick and mortar, and you want a professional to talk to, Luis is the person to trust.I brought my pioneer sx-1250 to Luis and he fixed it in 2 weeks. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it and it sounds amazing. Electronics need to be repaired and restored just like your car. Take it to someone that knows what they are doing.Thanks Luis.

I rarely comment on good or bad bussinesses, but on this one i'll make an exception. Luis at stereo advisor is one of very few people left who repair vintage stuff, I have taken at least a dozen high end items to him and he has repaired them all perfectly. One item, a Teac a3440 reel to reel, did not work right when i got it home, so i took it back, he had it for 4 weeks, working on it to find the problem, it had a very tiny cracked trace on a circuit board, when the unit was laying flat it worked fine, stand it up and it was intermittent. When i brought this unit in it had not worked for 20 years. When i went to pick it up he said "No charge". That's how dedicated he is to his customers. Yeah, workin on this stuff ain't cheap anymore. The alternative is to go out and buy junk made in China ! Keep up the good work Luis, i have some more stuff coming your way soon ! Bob S.
