On Wednesday, February 14, 2024 I had to return to Ralph'sTransmission to have my vehicle worked on again. This was approximately 72-days later after paying almost $5300.00 to have a new transmission installed in my vehicle November 2023. A situation that bothered me very much. Why? Not even 3-weeks later after initial repairs my vehicle started leaking transmission fluid everywhere. Especially, in my garage which to be diplomatic I was not happy about. I would also add when 1st picking my vehicle up after the initial work performed Nov. 2023. The entire undercarriage of my vehicle was saturated in transmission fluid. Had I not been proactive in asking to see my vehicle placed on a lift before leaving the premises to view work performed. I would have driven away from shop having no idea of how shop was going to send my vehicle out of the door. Although remaining very much in control and disciplined when expressing my displeasure to ownership. I was offered no explanation on how this could happen. Again, after paying almost $5,300.00 fee to have this work done.At which time after gracefully expressing my displeasure directly to ownership (MJ). I was then asked to express to the technician what I felt about the situation. Which quite frankly I did not feel my responsibility. Especially, since the owner was standing right there beside me viewing the complete "HORROR" on my face. Mind you those repairs were very unexpected and great sacrifice was made to do business the right way. Paying for the services rendered without any delay or excuses. But understand I am far from a rich man nor am I a man that has $5,300.00 discretionary cash just idly lying around. Note to self, I am a self employed person. Translation I can ill-afford a malfunctioning unreliable vehicle. Also, it is totally unacceptable to have one leaking transmission fluid all over the undercarriage of my vehicle burning and smoking each time I drive as the engine warms up. I did reach out to ownership several times by email correspondence and phone the last weekend of January (01.26.2024). At which time we were able to set up a time for me to return my vehicle back to the shop.Let me be clear prior to returning vehicle to shop on the same day that I contacted their business Saturday, Jan. 26, 2024. I had spent almost 3-hrs under my truck doing an extensive deep cleaning (time I will never get back). Which I had no choice but to do as a result of the excessive fluid leaking ruining my garage floor and driveway. Information that I did calmly and politely share with ownership. Finally, I returned to shop and repairs were made and they even threw in a small oil part for $34.00. Which does not begin to cover my time in cleaning my garage everyday and definitely does not cover the 3-hours spent under my vehicle doing a major deep cleaning. My personal and professional opinion at minimum I should have been reimbursed $300.00, and at the very, very, minimum $240.00 ( Cash App: $EABEOWOLF9 ) or $$$ cash. But I was disappointed that this was not even brought up least alone considered. For the record, I believe was not place to bring up given how the business was not exactly handled ideally to begin with. As I spoke to earlier, I am a self-employed individual, I can not be wasting time that prevents me from earning, and I should not have to have the same repairs made after spending almost $5,300.00.In closing I was not going to write a review but the notification to do so kept showing up in my inbox. Also, I wanted to be sure to give much credit, gratitude, and appreciation, to Service Desk Advisor staff member Brea/Bria J. Who is the future of the company and in the industry. Wise beyond her years, very patient, very professional, very capable, very structured, very honest, very, very smart shop knowledge, customer service knowledge, vehicle check in/out, customer care knowledge, and in my humble opinion a quiet storm in the industry and the family run shop. This was my first experience with Ralphs Transmission. My F-150 with 369,000 miles had transmission issues, everyone thought the transmission was shot, however, after Mario's team inspected everything, he found only minor problems, fixed it and the truck runs like new. Mario at Ralph's transmission is honest, communicate great and do a great job. I would recommend them to everyone.

All I can say that they went above and beyond helping me deal with my insurance claim (which we know what a headache that can be). Thank you Mario and Brie for helping us get our family van back in working order! The best customer service and quality service you can ask for!

While there is no joy in having your transmission rebuilt, the staff at Ralph’s are very professional and polite. They proactively communicate and comprehensively explain what needs to be done and why. They also provide a great warranty on their work.

I called in to schedule an appointment and was very impressed with Brianna. She was very knowledgable and it is always nice to do business where excellent customer service is still valued. Took in my truck and left it overnight. I was shocked to hear that they could not find anything wrong that they could fix there but referred me somewhere else that could help. Extremely honest and helpful. I will recommend and bring any vehicle with transmission issues here in the future.

There’s a reason why this shop has been around since 1969… Their service and workmanship is spectacular! Thank you Mario for getting my 2008 Ford Explorer squared away. I will definitely be back if/when I need more transmission work done ??

I write this review after the repair was made and ran my chevy silverado pick up. Was anxious to make the call here the 1st time since I know it was going to be a major repair but from the 1st call to where the truck is now, it was all worth it. Bri made this whole conversation and transaction go very smooth and explained everything my vehicle needed and needless to say was at the shop for 2-3 days with a rebuilt transmission . I ran my vehicle to Santa Cruz with passengers and a loaded cargo trailer and felt relieved to be able to drive my pickup again after more than a year of being broken down. Thanks to Bri Mario and all the techs for this excellent professional service.
