I found everything I was looking for, with many selections to choose from. I found not only more than I needed, as usual, but also better items than I had anticipated.

Dr Nguyen is a very compassionate and knowledgeable doctor, who goes above and beyond for the care of his furry friends!
Today was our very first visit with Dr Nguyen at this amazing hospital, the entire staff was very friendly and totally loving on our golden doodle, Bentley! For the very first time , our boy was completely chill and generally happy to be around a veterinarian/ hospital setting. lol
The doctor took his time to explain everything to us in detail and we never felt rushed ….
Their prices too are very reasonable…

5132 Yosemite Blvd, ModestoThe employees at Empire Vets are wonderful. They are a whole different class of people. They really care about your animal. Our dog got chewed up by a pit bull. We took her to Empire Vets and they helped her without asking us if we had money or any source of payment first. That kinda stuff don't usually happen. They were so concerned about our dog. They got her up and ready to go. We were so pleased with their service that we will never take out dog anywhere else besides Empire Vets. Thank you to everyone who works who works there.

When the lab the blood test was sent to for my mare's Coggins test lost the sample, the vet came an hour drive to my house to redraw the blood that day for no charge. I had the results back in less than 24 hours so our trip went on as planned.
When I brought my beloved horse, whom I had for 25 years, for his final rest, I was given the most compassion that I have EVER had at a vet hospital. Over the last 50+ years of owning horses and doing a lot of rescue, I have never had such compassion from a vet and staff. This is absolutely the best equine vet in the Central Valley, hands down.

The pricing is very straightforward, drop-off and pick-up are well organized, and the staff were very nice despite the high volume. My current foster dog healed up very nicely without any issues and the sutures looked professionally done. We will absolutely bring future foster dogs here!

3232 Beckwith Ct, ModestoI’ve been seeing Dr. Mike and Dr. Chad for many years. You cannot find better doctors in the area. There are so many reasons why I’m giving them this rating. The staff is wonderful, communications are excellent, they do what they say they are going to do, and you don’t wait for hours and hours to see them. You won’t find better fees. I would almost keep this rating to myself so that I can get appointments without competing with you. However, they are just so good that they deserve a 10 out of 5. Consider yourself lucky that I’m sharing this with you. I love my veterinarians.

Salida Veterinary Hospital
4566 Salida Blvd, SalidaAlmost a year ago my dog suffered what was diagnosed as a type of stroke. I only ended up at sisk because it was the closest to my home in my emergency. That being said, the entire staff was beyond empathetic, understanding, making what I was thinking would be my dogs last day. Thankfully he slowly came out of it and has made almost a full recovery. The Dr. was extremely explanatory in options and continued care. For this reason, I will be taking him back for an ear issue he's continued to have that the seemingly "top clinic" in Escalon couldn't seem to get a handle on.

Marcos was his trainer , And when I took him there, he was jumping on everyone and everything pulling on the leash, not minding, Or coming to me when called. Now after Marcos and the staff worked with him, He walks on a leash with only minimal reminder to not pull, He obeys the commands with reinforcement From the collar. But I feel like he’s 100% better than he was, And now he is a more manageable dog. It was the best thing I’ve done for him.!!

Big Basin Dog Training
4554 Claribel Rd, ModestoWe enrolled our 2 yr old Black Labrador in the 30 day private dog training. Oh my goodness, Gary is an amazing trainer...Last fall our dog broke my collar bone & pulled my 6.2 ft husband down to the ground w her excessive LACK of FOCUS & 70 lb strength. The 30 day private training was worth every dollar because we were not going to be able to handle her and we knew it. She is now absolutely wonderful . We picked her up last Friday and we r both so excited to experience her calm & focused. Also, she looks healthy, bright and alert. Over the weekend we continued to train on the basics... heal/sit; sit/stay (we went out about 20 ft and returned) she did not move; go to your place (bed) and she calmly lays down and stays until we take her out, for me that is just magic; we also can take her out to go "Potty" and we now can train her to go in a designate area...oh my, that is just wonderful. On heal, she never pulled once which is not the story 30 days ago. If she got a little ahead of us, we corrected her and she immediately listened & got right back into position. Amazing & Excellent work Gary!!! After our 1st weekend, on Monday we started working w Peggy to "Train us" so we don't untrained our doggy. I think Peggy has the difficult job, hahaha. She has been great to work w, she answered all our questions and tomorrow we return for our 2nd private training session...Yay! The key is to train us to lovingly reinforce all the skills our doggie has learned. One final comment: This will now be where we board our doggie on our longer vacations. I noticed when we returned on Monday for our training, Kaili wanted to say hi to everyone, was so excited to see Gary her trainer, and she wanted go inside to the kennels...signal to me, she liked being there. We are absolutely grateful to Gary and Peggy for giving us a dog we can be excited to work with and thoroughly enjoy.

The staff is always so friendly and so great with our pups! When we drop them off, the dogs can't wait to leave us and go with the staff, we take this as a good sign! Then, while we are on vacation and see the updates online, it makes us so happy knowing how the dogs are being taken care of!
We definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs boarding!

Clean and when I ask they send me pictures and videos of my fur baby to show how he's doing. He doesn't eat when I board him yet they always find a way to get him to eat.

Everything on the menu looked amazing so even though we didn't have reservations for 6 people, we came and waited around 30minutes for a table on a Saturday night (not bad at all!). The beers and kombucha were great and all the dishes we ordered were very well made and delicious. We ordered 2 to 3 plates of each dish and the owner lady even made sure we were not ordering too much. We're glad to find that Modesto has such a good restaurant now. We will definitely come back since it looks like their menu changes often. Kudos to the hardworking pair that runs the restaurant!

Started off with a scoop of strawberry vanilla swirl in a cup and it didn't disappoint. The vanilla was rich and creamy and the strawberry was thick and gooey with the perfect amount of sweet and tartness. As a main dish for dessert we tried the mini pancakes with chocolate icecream and oh my goodness those fluffy sweet baby pancakes covered in hot melted chocolate sauce and cold whip cream lets just say AMAZING! The owner was the nicest and the it was warm and cozy which made the icecream so easy to eat. The service was fast but not too fast as the pancakes were grilled to order. I would recommend a thousand times. There is also to go paletas and chocolate covered bananas and many shakes and smoothies for your liking. 5 stars
