Bad customer service. I am a long time patient of Dr Porter. After holding for an hour and forty five minutes to set up my annual physical, I finally called from another line and had to select every option to get to the back office. I explained and they buzzed through to the appointment desk. I told the appointment desk that I have been holding for longer than an hour and she said "well we're busy". I set up my appointment and asked for lab slip to be sent via the secured portal. She then told me to request my appointment through the portal, I explained that due to their recent change, I no longer have accesss. She claims she send me the invite and would not hold one second so that I can confirm receipt of the link. I am still waiting for the link!! I am appalled that management finds this behavior acceptable and they shrug it off as in no big deal. I'll be sure to save this picture to show the doctor. I doubt they approve or this.

I've had nothing but great experiences at my appointments with Dr. Porter. He takes the time to listen to me and is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Porter as a physician.

I've been going to them for over 15 yrs. I never thought I'd have to keep my cash payment receipts for my copay but I've had a dispute about a petty $20 copay that I had already paid but couldn't find my receipt. they billed my deceased husband for my service and forgot to show that the copay was paid so they applied it to my other visit 2 weeks later and didn inform me of anything until the following year and I've been disputing it since. I was tired of dealing with it every time I went in so I was telling them I'm just gonna pay it then the receptionist said no because they are trying to find out where this really goes. 4 months later they billed me for a letter and sent me to collection. I love my doctor but if these doctors are allowing this to happen then they are just as good as their billing system. trying to understand the way they bill is impossible. my insurance provider and I had a 3 way conference call and all she did was read my conversation that I had with my doctor. what I was diagnosed with, etc. had nothing to do with the billing in question. nothing got resolved because they will not accept responsibility for their error. Remember my visits all had to do with the homicide of my husband and the trauma that I was dealing with. This is the last thing I would expect from my medical provider whose treating me for trauma.

Not a good clinic! If you can find another one do so. Every time I call to make an appointment they take an hour to answer. The day of the appointment I asked if I can go to the back with my mom because she can’t hear that well I wanted to make sure she caught everything the doctor said and the receptionist did not allow it. By law there is no reason for them to have denied it if the patient was ok with it. Very rude!Will find another clinic from here forward No stars

You have to wait one hour to make a simple 2-mins appointment, they did not explain why and did not answer questions about on line deal as they prompted, i wonder if AI will help if they are short stuffed. No star…

Honestly for me it’s how long the wait time is every time. Before covid and after. Calling takes me 40 min to get human on the phone every time and being seen by the doctor takes usually an hour minimum.

Worse service ever. I had to drive to my doctors office when I was having COVID-19 symptoms, I tried to call in but couldn’t, because their phones are down. I asked the doctor how much longer and he said it’s a lot of money to fix. Bad handling of their finances. Their phones keep disconnecting me it’s been like this for years, I would have to keep calling back to get through and it’s now their phone system is nonfunctional. It’s gotten to the point that nobody answers the phone and there isn’t voice mail available. You can’t even make an appointment and will have to walk in to do it. What if you are too sick to walk in or drive or worse don’t have transportation! I’m sure some people really got sick or maybe worse because of not being able to contact the doctors office. Horrible!

If I can give this 0 stars I would. I have been going here for years which is going to change because I hate Orange Burg Medical my Doctor is Dr. Christine Chan. Every time I go in she has a snobby attitude and she never wants to hear all of the problems your dealing with. Chan keeps you waiting in the room forever until the light turns off and cuts you off when speaking. She is always in a hurry to get you out! She spends 5min on you max and has terrible bedside manners I am very unhappy with her service every single time I go in!***UPDATE 23 YEARS here! GOOD THING I HAVEN’T HAD MUCH HEALTH PROBLEMS THROUGH OUT THESE YEARS. TODAY I RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT CHRISTINA CHAN DISCONTINUED SERVICE WITH ME BECAUSE OF THIS REVIEW! LOL THANKS FOR CLEARING MY PROBLEM SIS YOU GAVE ME THE MOTIVATION I NEEDED TO GO ELSEWHERE. BUT FYI CHAN IS MISERABLE IN HER CAREER AND NEEDS A NEW ONE. NOT MISSING ANYTHING SPECTACULAR AT ORANGEBURG SHE GIVES THE PLACE A BAD NAME.

I have been with this medical group for about a month, and am seriously considering switching. Getting a hold of someone in the front office is next to impossible because nobody answers the phone. I was the "first caller in line" for almost ten minutes this morning. I came to this a couple of weeks ago, and the medical assistants/nurses herd you through the process like cattle, leaving you very little time to fill out the necessary paperwork as a first patient. I saw Dr. Banuelos, who treated me years ago before I left OMG. He's a nice guy and seems competent at what he does, but I'm not sure of the medical group that he's in.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Don't go here. Before I went in I saw some reviews that stated that front office staff was rude but Dr. Chan was worth it. She absolutely is not and she is just as rude as her staff. If you care about your health don't choose this place; they are rude, dismissive, and just all around horrible to work with. I will never go back here.
