My 5 stars isn't technically for Kaiser itself but more so for some employees. Shannon and Alicia in the women's health OB department. I am pregnant with my first child and my first appointment wasn't as I had wished. My doctor wasn't kind and was very direct and to the point. No photo no nothing just you're this far take prenatales do you have any questions. I just expected a more welcoming thorough experience . Alicia on the other hand, who was in the room with me, went out of her way to make me feel welcome and congratulated me. She was excited and made me feel at ease. She made sure I was okay and made sure to get me the info I needed. Shannon is who I met when I tried to reach back out to Alicia for a question who is equally amazing. She takes the time to listen even when busy and I know I must've driven her crazy with questions. She made me feel important. Which all of the money we pay as consumers into health Insurance is always nice. These two have really changed my experience and I look forward to seeing them at my next appointment.

I've had Kaiser coverage for some years now. I love the fact that we can email our primary care doctor for anything. He usually gets back to us within 12-24 hours. I won't review the pharmacy because honestly, I have had a problem or two with every pharmacy I've used. I was in the hospital as for a day short of two weeks and the nurses are truly fantastic. Caring, nurturing, knowledgeable and all around comforting. They made an experience of something that was already scary and uncomfortable into one that was caring and compassionate.

Not my type of care , I would hear the doctor googling answers over the phone they dont help you when you need time off work for pain or injury they treated you like your just lying to get time off or disability . I was getting knee injections and could t walk and they couldn't put me on a short term disability to get better . I really did feel like a number. I switched providers thank god.

LABOR AND DELIVERY! I had a very bad experience here and I will not get into detail, however all i will say is to the other mothers try to go else wear if you would like a NATURAL birth. Many of the labor and delivery care team lacked good bed side manner. And is so quick to jump to a C-section as if a C-section is something they need to get done on there end. I had the absolute worse care team here and have found the best care team at sutter Gould.

The pharmacy technicians and security are always very respectful and attentive to me when I come and pick up my medication. It means the most because I do suffer from a disability. Thank you.

If you're thinking of getting any medication here , don't. These people suck and say they don't have your medication and then when they do they are somehow missing some medication. Would give 0 stars if I could.

If I could give Kaiser negative stars I would. Not just Modesto location but all of Kaiser. This medical system is a very great example of why there is a lot of mis information in other parts of the United States regarding California. This is not healthcare. This is a popularity contest. Kaiser thinks if we are nice then everyone will not notice we do not ACTUALLY do healthcare. Let's start with the ER. What a JOKE! Kaiser puts ER on the building but you are actually sent to an urgent care type situation and if the problems have been going on a while, FORGET any care. Oh, and don't come into the Kaiser foundation as a member with any bad health or habits because they do forget that not everyone has been a part of their brainwashing their entire life and just sometimes you are going to have to actually help a patient in order for them to thrive. HMMM- let's discuss PCP visits as well- they get canceled. So... you cannot go to ED as they are no help and you cannot seem to get in with the PCP so what do you do? Oh, but wait, you can call the nurse line. The nurse can set you up with a phone visit in a week maybe. And yes, PHONE-no video. (Assessment skills a must with no video) Last time I checked, diagnosis was outside the scope of a nurse. Speaking of nurses, let's discuss the "Journey to Magnet" in the ER. Newsflash, magnet status cannot happen without physicians. Or for that matter, without nurses- we were in the so-called ER 2 hours and saw one nurse only after an allergic anaphylactic reaction. Which brings me to my next point- radiology. Take my spouse to dr for this large protrusion seen with the naked eye. Two CT scans and an MRI later, there is absolutely no mention of this obvious defect. Please tell me why the radiologist at Kaiser do not have the same standards as other radiologist? Every single scan I have EVER had outside of this so-called health system the radiologist made note of everything he/she saw in that scan. Well not at Kaiser. You must see a surgeon for that. So, let's talk about the surgeon referral. Spouse gets a call to set up surgery. WHAT? No one has told us what this is, there has been no mention on any of the scans but you want to just schedule someone to cut it out? All of this seems very surreal. Almost third world or meat market. I noticed that there are no email addresses listed for the important folks in Kaiser anywhere on the web. I wonder is it because you think everything is fine in your system (which is usually the case) or you do not want to know otherwise? Not just members can give valuable input. The people who love them and know them the best may have some knowledge as well. Kaiser has the pre-set treatment plans and it does not matter if the MD thinks that a test is not necessary, they have to order it which puts large delays on care. For example- currently spouse has an ulnar nerve problem that has intensified to severe pain and affecting daily life. Went to DR, DR identifies that this is classic symptoms of the ulnar nerve so we need to take that route. HOWEVER- when she goes to order the necessary path, the PC tells her she must do Xray first. WHY? Last I checked nerves do not show on Xray. OK so now, she must wait for the Xray to show nothing to move to the nerve study to move to some relief. Meanwhile, you cannot get appointments for a month out and the nerve is dying more every day. So, I ask, when the nerve dies and the finger becomes useless from all the time we have spent unnecessarily, will Kaiser be supporting us when the spouse can no longer do the job that requires complete use of BOTH hands? I also ask, is ANY of the treatments that Kaiser does evidence based? Let's continue the so-called ED care. When you get there and sign in, they send you to "ED whatever letter". Dr comes in with his agenda. No discussion, just an agenda. The agenda is basically telling the patient that what they are here for is not an emergency and they need to follow up with the PCP. (See previous statement regarding cancellations and keep tha

This is a review for the maintenance in Kaiser Modesto. Last time I was in the Pain Department twice and the stains and messy, dirty floors remains the same the second appointment. And today, I had an appointment in Orthopedic Department and the floors are also very filthy very disgusting. I don't understand how this medical facilities hire such incompetent maintenance company who couldn't clean the facility real good. They need to change the cleaning company. The hospital should have high standards. People are sick and shouldn't be subjected to such filthy, unsanitary, unhealthy environment. It's disgusting to walk in as a patient and see the disgusting dirty floors, when the patients' health and safety should be number one priority. Place should be safe, clean, healthy and free from bacteria place for patient.

Kind staff. Clean and swift service. I don't mind the drive from Stockton to Modesto. Parking on the last visit was terrible. One parking area was full. I didn't anticipate the crowd on a Monday of this week. So do arrive early for your appointment for a closer parking.

Came in for a check up and shots for my 3 year old. Was treated horribly by the RN SIMAR K GILL. Very rude and kept on voicing her personal opinion on things. We nicely told her to stop and to keep it professional but she wouldn't stop. She took it so far to where my wife and I felt the need to stand up for ourselves, which we did. She then had the nerves to go on KP.org notes and stated that we intentionally let go of our daughters leg when she was giving her shots. She was the one who slipped with the needle and made my daughter bleed. Kaiser and parents if you're reading this, don't ever let Simar K Gill give another shot to your patients and patients don't ever let her give shots to you or your loved ones. You'll regret it if you do. BTW, We made the earliest appointment and was the first one to get called in and it still took them 2 hours just to give immunization shots.

If you're pretty healthy, it's fine but if you unfortunately get very ill with any kind of serious disease, any kind of cancer then you are going to be screwed. After one of my best friends was diagnosed with cancer after four years of having stomach issues, she was extremely healthy, they never did a colonoscopy never did any tests. She kept getting worse until she couldn't keep anything down and projectile vomiting. Went into er sent her home then went in the 2nd day and they finally did a few testes and she ended up having stage 4 colon cancer which ran in her family and her brother had. They started a regiment and did barely anything she should have had a hysterectomy and a ct scan at pet scan more than only the first one that they did. It was a joke!!! I wanted to get her into a program at Stanford or UCSF and they wouldn't allow it until the entire session was done. After that session was done they said everything was fine didn't even do a pet scan after they where done. Still they wouldn't allow her to go into trials after she went back 2 months later and it had spread. They still wanted to do the least possible. Minimal chemo! She died 4 months later she was so I'll her body couldn't take anymore and hospice took over. They where amazing but KP is the worst place to be if your seriously sick!
