From our viewpoint, how can anyone rate JS West below a 5 Star rating. Been a customer for 25 years. Again today JS West proved why we chose JS West 25 years ago, SERVICE!, professionalism, quality, knowledgable, experience, honesty, pricing, response time, and friendly (both in office staff and field technicians). We are very pleased with JS West for our propane service. And the monthly installment plan is wonderful! Our neighbors use other service companies and are considering switching to JS West after hearing about how good the service and pricing is with JS West Propane, but the other companies require contracts, so it is difficult to change. Not with JS West, no contract.

JS West is predatory and rips off consumers.Never sign with them without reading ALL the fine print and be very very wary. They charge more than standard prices, and force you into signing contracts that you can't cancel without paying massive termination fees stuck in the fine print and that force you to pay more than other companies.

At first I thought the company was great but don’t be fooled. I noticed they treat their employees absolutely horrible and set them up for complete failure. Boss appeared to be money hungry. They value their income more than employees. Very unprofessional and horrible all around. Disgusting attitude won’t get propane here again.

I am a local Realtor and it is always such a relief when sellers have service with JS West. There customer service is excellent and they have gone above and beyond for me on numerous transactions like when you cant schedule inspections because a sellers tank is empty. We recently had them come and switch out our propane tank so our home service would be with them ( the best ) and again, they went above and beyond even fixing my oven which had not been working! Seriously folks, do not try and save a buck using anyone else. You will be unhappy in the end. JS West is local and an amazing company of great people.

This company went above and beyond. When the other company we had couldn’t get our tank filled(3 week wait) they came to the rescue with a new tank, and filled within an hour. Huge thanks to Claudia in the office, and to Jason for the professional delivery of our new tank.

Cynthia at JS West at the Colfax location is amazing! I called for a disabled older adult who was completely out of propane and dealing with an ongoing power outage. Within a hour and a half, Cynthia, ensured the customer had propane and prevented him from having to call 911 and go to the hospital. Thank you, Cynthia!

JS West for Foresthill Ca has the worst service of all suppliers. We have been without power since Dec 26, we are on autofill, we have scheduled a fill, and although they have been on our street, filling other people, who have power, they told us (from the truck driver 1-4-21) that we are not on his list. We have called, both Modesto and Colfax, with nasty reception from Amber and one other. We were forced, when empty to get some fuel from another supplier. JS West, did not care we were out of power and out of propane, they said they do not coordinate with PGE and have no idea who is out of gas and power. They told us to have another fueler call them first if they can give us fuel...wow... how generous of them. On flip side, earlier last week, Amber said they were only filling people who were without propane...uh, that would be us... We have snow plowed streets, so no excuse there, just plain revenge from one of the office staff. Our online order has now disappeared, and we are told from the office that they do not know when they will be able to fill us (as we will be without power until January 11th). If waiting for JS West to help you one might consider replacing your tank with a company that does not let their feelings get in the way of service.

Got her at 4:50 and they told me I couldn't get propane.. the web site says they close at 5.. I have a huge RV it's not a commuter around town vehicle to be wasting diesel like this..

I wanted to change propane supplies so I called JS west in the afternoon. I got voice mail and left a message. I am now on my 4th day with no return call. I old call them back but I see no need to do their follow up work for them. I will be signing with a company that actually answered their phone during business hours.

They lie and didn't answer my questions on prices !! They have little empathy for people in this pandemic and keep changing you to another person who says something entirely different from the first person!! Very bad customer service!! Greedy!! NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!

Very helpful, they were able to fill up the old style propane canister built into my 1989 Van. I tried 5 other propane fill up stations but their hookup was not compatible. I called Mike West of JS West and he said bring your Van to us and we will take a look. I did take it to JS West and they were successful at filling up the old style van propane tank! So helpful!

Huge disappointment, first time customer for propane and was basically denied service. Hours of operation, which are posted on the wall and online, say 8 to 5. I arrived at 4:50 and the office was locked. An office attendant showed up and through the window made signs the business was closed. This is infuriating considering I still had time, not even a courtesy we are closed sign. If this is a habit, possibly change your hours of operation.
