They never have cars available even when you have a reservation. They have dirty vehicles. Customer. Service is horrible

JUST DON’T. Never ever ever ever again will I rent from budget. They completely ripped me off and lied! Horrible. The lady who helped was fine but the Company Budget themselves is the absolute worst especially if you loved being lied to and told things that are in fact not true! Customer service people are idiots and don’t have it together. Called multiple times regarding a “refund” that I was told not once not twice not three times not 4 but 5 TIMES that I would get back. Can you guess who didn’t get the “refundable deposit” back… you guess right not me! I was told 5 times by 5 different people we would receive our “money” back. First I was told in 3 business days, then it became 3-5 business days, then 3-10 business days, and THEN 10-14 BUSINESS DAYS. So which one is it cause it wasn’t neither! Very upsetting to be told by 5 customer service reps that we would receive money back… so now money I thought I was going to get back I will not be getting back. They should really lean their facts before telling me false info. I will never recommend them nor rent with them again. The worst place ever don’t waste your time or money with them.

No cars available even tho we were able to book cars online. Then they sent us on a wild goose chase to the modesto location, which also didn’t have cars. Trash service.

The staff is really kind and patient here. It was a pleasure doing business here. I made a last minute reservation and the car was a bit messy, I was just happy they had a vehicle for me and the staff made it all worthwhile. If you need a clean vehicle make a reservation in advance to allow for them to do the full clean.

DO NOT RENT HERE, UESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH RACIST, RUDE SERVICE!!!!MADE RESERVATIONS ONLINE, WHEN MY HUSBAND AND MOTHER GOT THERE THE LADY WAS RUDE FROM THE BEGINNING, SOME MISTAKE WAS MADE TO WHERE SHE HAD TO SPEAK TO MY MOTHER MY HUSBAND TOLD THE LADY "HELPING" US THAT MY MOTHER DIDNOT SPEAK ENGLISH SO HE NEEDED TO TRANSLATE SHE SAID NO SHE REFUSED TO SPEAK TO MY HUSBAND AND PROCEEDED TO TRY TO SPEAK TO MY MOTHER AFTER BEING TOLD SHE NEEDED HELP TO UNDERSTAND SHE SAID NO IM REFUSING SERVICE AND TOLD THEM TO LEAVE, MY HUSBAND ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER AND GUESS WHAT SHE WAS THE MANAGER SHES BEEN THE MANAGER FOR 17 YEARS WE LOST TIME AND THIS MORNING I WOKE UP TO MY CARD BEING CHARGED 75 DOLLARS!!! FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE RIDICULOUS!!! WORST WORST SERVICE...GO TO PENSKE INSTEAD THEY WERE GREAT AND GOT US A TRUCK THAT SAME DAY LUCKILY....LOCATION WHERE THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED WAS 340 PENLANDALE AVE MODESTO...IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD.

Usually fast but don’t go in weekends as soon as they open or if you do don’t plan your itinerary to leave within 10 mins I waited over 40 mins. Only have one person at the counter which is ridiculous. At least have 2 that can do the checkout. Besides that the cars they are great not super clean but decent

A few years back I'd had a good experience with this location. Unfortunately today I can't say the same. I'd prepaid online for my reservation. I get to my appt a half hr late and find out they have no availability. They said they callwled me and left a message, but have no missed calls an no voicemail. They tell me I can get ahold of the airport location to find out if they have any availability. But offer no help to get me a vehicle.

Fernando at the Pelandale location in Modesto, CA is absolutely incredible! He has always had a vehicle whenever we needed it! He has help my family tremendously for the last 3 years. He deserves a big raise, a big bonus & a vacation!

Was told I was speaking to a person from the location, that a debit card could be used and that a compact car was available. Took a Lyft to the location only to be told that a compact was not available but that they could put me in a pick-up for an additional $20/day. Waited 20 minutes for my turn only to be told that a debit card could not be used. Went to Avis who had plenty of cars and a debit card was accepted.

My friend and I decided to go with a car that was good on gas. We choose an economy class vehicle. The Modesto office gave me a Nissan Versa. I walked around the car before I got in and saw a bald right front tire. I was going to drive to LA that day and back that weekend. I had to pick up my friend in San Jose before we headed out. I called him and told him that the car had a bald tire. I called budget, they gave me a better car when I got to San Jose and the weekend in LA went fine.I only give 3 stars because of the agent at the exchange. The agent gave me a car two classes up from my original rental. The agent in Modesto gave me a POS. Modesto should have known what they had.

Called numerous of times with no answer in 2 days. I decide to drive from Newman just to get a rude answer and tell me to make a complaint at the 1800 number. Pretty much telling me they don't care for my business.. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced with a company. No one answered phones when I called. I was transferred to a national call center who had trouble looking up my reservations even with my confirmation number. My pick up was scheduled at 12pm, my flight was delayed I tried calling but no one answered and the location closed at 1 pm. I didnt reach a representative til the next day and was still charged for the day they closed early. Zero communication zero customer service. Abysmal experience
