If I could, I would give BMO Bank zero stars ever since they merged with bank of the west on September 5, 2023 I've had nothing but problems. Unfortunately I am very disappointed with this bank. I do miss Bank Of The West and I do not like BMO Bank. They are nothing but problems since day one September 5, 2023. I have had nothing but problems. My account has been hacked. I keep getting text messages letters in the mail from the fraud department. I just got one today October 20 a text message at 6:30 AM CT 8:30am out time , saying someone hacked into my account this morning and that if it was me to ignore it and unfortunately it was not me I called them on the phone to report it. They just told me to change my password they did not do anything else to take care of it, they did tell me that it was from somebody that had a Mac PC and Mac IP. I went to BMO Bank in person at 3:30 this afternoon Friday, October 20 to speak to somebody in the branch about my account and this happening constantly. the representative, a young gentleman told me that I needed to change my mobile login name and password and then if I've been using my login name for other accounts that needed to changed also for my other accounts and the password also I told him that the password I've been using for this bank was only for that banking account and I've only had trouble now that it change to BMO! I've never had trouble until they change to BMO with any banking system or any of my online accounts. He directly told me what it could be your social media account that you're having trouble with also if you have the same login and password, I told him no I'm not having trouble with my login name. I've never had trouble with my login name and, I've had it the same since Internet went online, since the 90s the password should not be an obstacle either since it doesn't match up with any of my accounts, BMO is the only problem I've had since it switched over on September 5, 2023 and I keep getting emails and texts and letters in the mail and today I received another email saying somebody access my account from a different location and it wasn't recognized and I told him I wanted to know what was going on because it was not me. I directly told him I was asleep@ 6:30 CT when this happened like the email says 8:30 our time here in California why couldn't the bank representative give me a simple answer he didn't look up my account he didn't use a computer. He just started telling me straight out well you need to change your password. You need to change your login that's how it's going to get fixed. you need to change all your screen names and logins on all your accounts all your social medias and that's how it's going to fix the problem, He did it right there in front of everybody. He didn't take me to a desk to do it in private he just told me right there in front of all the other customers very unprofessional. and yes, I'm disabled and an electric wheelchair. Do I recommend BMO BANK No, I DONT, very unprofessional.!! And now you have to make an appointment to been seen at a desk the tellers help you with everything else even giving you a new card, resetting your card, this bank is a nightmare seriously worst customer care support I've ever experienced in 40+ plus years of having an account anywhere...

The one on 9th Street service sucks and there a male teller who just stares at my wife the whole time we are in there. To we're we don't go there anymore.

I highly dislike that bank of the west merged with BMO it's been terrible! Constantly getting hung up on the phone line it just disconnects. I have a fraudulent charge all of a sudden. My card isn't working they were supposed to cancel my old card. They also canceled my new card. So I'm without money. I can't directly deposit into my account because my cards don't work. There's two people on my account we can't see who's transactions are, whose like we used to be able to with the bank of the west which I think is absolutely ridiculous that that has changed. I really wish BMO would get it together before I have to find another bank.

Canceled my account after having it for about 8 months. I've been overdrafted about 5 times and charged even though I've paid it the same day and promptly. Waste of time talking to them because they lied about deposit date to me and my partner as we both wanted to figure out what was going on. I unrecommend this bank.

There are ten people in line and one teller window open. Asked if they were going to open another window and they said no. It's one thing if they just got rushed out of nowhere and were not prepared but it is absolutely always understaffed when I have to come into a physical location. I never get out in less than half an hour. If I'm lucky.

Has a sign saying hours will change effective March 20, 2021 to 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Today, this review was given was March 17, 2021, shortly after 9:00 am and they are closed. Not following the posted sign of business hours.

The staff is friendly, but they are very negligent. A while back i had to cancel my account because someone had gotten my bank information, and had "deposited" fake money into my account. I immediately froze my account and went in, despite no longer living in Modesto. Took care of the account, and closed it. Fast forward a few days abs i get a letter about owing them money for "depositing a check with their app". This was the fake money, they charged me for something i had not done. So, i called the bank, told them the situation AGAIN, and after a too long phone call, they told me they would have to reopen my account to get the money back, because apparently they couldn't just give me a check. So, i agreed, and they told me that they would call me so i can go in to pick up the money. I never got a call and then i started an overnight job so i couldn't even call them or go to meet them due to my schedule. Fast forward to today, still no call and then i suddenly get a letter in the mail saying that i owe them an overdraft fee. Why? Because they activated my account, never called, and the bank just kept charging a maintenance fee for the account existing, unused. They are nice, but this kind of negligence on their end is unacceptable and i will never bank with them again.

For the past several months since they closed the lobby and They only have the drive-thru in use for services. The banking system is poor The wait time is extremely long & poorly served. It is BS that we have to wait in this long line to cash our checked for people who are disabled and do not have a vehicle, thanks to my friend who lends me her vehicle just to come and cash my check, since Bank Of The West Chooses to close the lobby.. And i’m an able to use the ATM to cash my check due to the process delayed 3 to 5 days..
