Sent my car to this shop for the first time today. If I could give them 10 stars I would for the professionalism, customer service, and thorough inspection of my car and excellent communication skills. They are very knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable for the excellent service you will receive.I will stick by this shop for my current car any future maintenance and repairs, and any other cars I might get in the future. Other mechanic shops in my past have made me feel incompetent and as if my money wasn't good enough for them. I was just a number.Auto Alternatives treated me almost as if I was a long time customer, or even a friend.

I will start this off by saying I came to Auto Alternatives through a referral from a local body shop and the RepairPal website. I was looking to have the panoramic sunroof on my 2013 Ford Edge repaired after the shuttles which drive the glass panel self destructed, leaving me with a fully open sunroof that I couldn't close. Calls to Ford dealerships went either unanswered or cancelled by the service manager after scheduling the appointment when they found out what work was needed.Let me note... This is a common failure point for Ford's panoramic sunroof and you can find thousands of posts regarding people all over trying to get this fixed. In the end, most either get rid of the car or do it themselves if they have any mechanical talent (which I don't).This leads me to Auto Alternatives, which is a recent addition to the RepairPal website and coming in to see Juan about getting this fixed. And then it got strange. Juan called his Manager (Gabe? Sorry, I am terrible with names.) Who said they couldn't do the work at either the repair shop or the body shop. He then referred Juan to some other company to see if they could do the work, and Juan took it upon himself to contact several other places- I think he talked to five, maybe six different people and got the same answer - we don't do sunroofs. I think one company through a number at him of 5 or 6 thousand dollars (I had seen prices up to 10 thousand). In the end, he was just as shocked as I was, but a couple of the mechanics were able to manually adjust the sunroof (read- push like bleep) so it was sort of in the vent position.I was there probably 30 or 40 minutes and they did what they could and went above and beyond trying to find anyone willing to do the repair- even if it wasn't them.I will also note that Gabe called later that night to explain why they didn't do sunroof work and mentioned how they were newly (as in weeks) listed on RepairPal and didn't know all the ins and outs; but would make sure to remove "Sunroofs" from their profile.So yeah, I didn't buy anything and they really just pushed a big glass window mostly closed for me; but the fact that they TRIED to help when they could have just said, "Sorry, no." Deserves some credit.And finally, the answer- CarMax will buy just about anything.

I just purchased a Hyundai accent today, I don’t think I’ve ever had an easier time purchasing a car. There was never no pressure or haggle from the owner Jared or anyone. I had came for the Hyundai accent I checked everything I wanted to check on the car with no pressure of being rushed into the buying process when I was ready to start the process it was very easy. When I did start the buying process I felt they were more focused on getting me a good finance deal then they were on making money off me . I got an amazing interest rate and monthly payment that I don’t think I could’ve gotten anywhere else. Will definitely be coming back again if I need to purchase another car or refer friends or family here

I bought a Subaru Outback from them in January 5 months later I'm experiencing leaking everywhere and my car is making a rattling noise I'm very upset I scraped all the money from savings to buy this car I needed a car that I could use to drive me and my family from Modesto to Missouri I did not get the warranty because I could not afford it so now I have a dead car in my driveway

I had such a fantastic experience. They made sure I was comfortable with the car, they showed me the car fax, helped me through the whole process, I did two test drives, one regular test drive and due to bad experiences in the past with previous dealerships they let me do a special circumstance 24hour test drive. It was amazing!! They aren’t pushy, they don’t make commission so there’s no pressure to buy buy buy like other dealerships! They ver all very friendly, all very nice, and all around amazing! They didn’t treat me any different because I’m a young buyer which made me feel great since they didn’t try to pull a fast one over me. I did note that the horn wasn’t working and they fixed it so fast and profusely apologized up and down. All around the husband and wife who own this lovely establishment are the nicest, sweetest, and most sincere people AND car salespeople that I have ever met. I have already started recommending them to friends and family who are looking for car good reliable used cars. They helped me find the best credit union for me and helped me through the process effortlessly. 10/10 I will shop with them again.Sincerely,An honest customer who had the best and most honest auto buying experience I’ve ever had.

Bought a car here recently and got a really good deal! The owner is very friendly and is clearly very proud of his employees.Most importantly though, I never felt pushed to purchase and was given plenty of time to do an inspection and solo test drive. They were really open about the pricing, they didn’t add in any “optional” add-ons, and weren’t pushy about the warranty they sell, which gave the confidence to make my decision.A lovely experience all over!

I bought a car from Auto Buying Alternatives in December of 2022! They were nothing but amazing! This was my first time dealing with a dealership and they made it so fast and easy! They walked me through everything that was going to happen the night before I came in! When I came in they were so amazing & you could tell they actually cared about me and my needsI truly recommend coming here for a used car! I will definitely be using them again

I bought a car in Feb 2022. I drove it home and the check engine light comes on. I called Jared and after a lengthy conversation about how he didn’t technically have to fix car, he agreed to have it taken to his shop.The catalytic converter was the issue per the code reader. I was told that it wasn’t necessarily an issue it was more of a being able to pass smog. Jared advised me to take the car to a shop he uses in Modesto and I thought the problem was fixed.About 2 months ago, the car started acting up and I could barely drive it home. I work approximately 3 hours away from home but the car made it. I attempted to contact Jared and didn’t get in touch with him right away.I expressed my concerns about the car and that I was worried the transmission might be failing. He then when on to talk for about 30 minutes about these types of cars being known for transmission issues. I was blown away because I felt that should have been disclosed.I finally am able to get the car into a shop close to my home and discover that the issue is that the catalytic converter wasn’t correctly repaired or replaced. It was basically bandaged in order to pass smog. Car no longer runs until I get this fixed properly.I don’t recommend Auto Buying Alternatives. Every time I’ve reached out for help, I either didn’t get a response or I’ve been made to feel as though they didn’t really want to help me, and as I said above I was made aware over and over that they didn’t really have to do anything.

I went looking for a car for work an fell in love with my new 2012 Camaro. Jarred helped me every step of the way to make sure I had the best deal possible! He truly went above and beyond the traditional car salesman! I am great ful for getting to meet him, and even more thankful he helped me leave with my new car that I truly love! One of the worst car dealers I’ve ever dealt with. I bought a vehicle and less than 5 weeks it broke down. The engine light came on and it started ticking really loud .I called the car lot spoke to Jared and boy is he a real con artist. He told me to bring back the vehicle and his mechanic would fix it. I was so happy at the time he was willing to help me cause after all I just bought the dang car. Might I add this it was a 30,000 vehicle. So I take it and drop it off not to mention I live in Arizona they are in California. I leave the car there 8 days he keeps telling me he can’t find ANYTHING wrong with car. I asked are you sure cause I have to drive 11 hours home. Might I add I’m a single mom of 2. He said oh yes I’m positive I can’t find anything wrong. I wasn’t on the road 2 hours my car starts smoking my engine is ticking and all I could think about is dang what If this car blows up and I catch fire … I was so scared but what was I supposed to do . So I decided to call GMC because that’s what make it was. I took it to them and long behold it was the lifters and engine on the vehicle … costed me over 4 grand to fix it while I’m still making a car payment. Jared has yet called me to check on vehicle or anything just expects me to pay it… didn’t even offer help or a discount . He is a really bad person. I would not send my worst enemy to his shop.

We bought a 2013 Toyota highlander about a month ago, the car is good condition took it for its first oil change with us and they mentioned whoever used car dealership we got it from definitely went through and had everything done, even the air filter was brand new. They mentioned they see people all the time come in with just bought used cars fromUsed car dealership that haven't done any of that. The buying experience was good too they got us approved and we felt confident buying from them. Honest people good prices.
