I got a pair of earrings that broke while the volunteer was handling it to put in a bag for me. I told her that I did not want to buy a broken pair of earrings, well I only got store credit NO MONEY BACK eventhough I didn't brake the earrings. Bad policy, doesn't make sense.

I have been shopping at these stores for 20 years now. From Sacramento to Roseville and now Modesto! Let me tell you, I have found some real gems! I love these stores and they are by far my favorite. I don't think I have ever left empty handed. Very clean and organized. Not to mention, that their cause is near and dear to my heart. And just as a side note... After having read some of these reviews, I don't know why anyone would go to a Thrift store looking to be put on a pedestal by the employees just for the color of their skin! C'mon, just knock the chip off your shoulder and just shop. sorry for the rant.

I'm an African American female that's 63 years old. The norm for me is a positive atmosphere and warm greetings from the workers. There used to be an African American female that worked there. She was very rude and gossip all the time by the cash register about people . I'm a mix heritage but still black. She was so rude and arrogant. Then there was a lady from England that was a volunteer. She had the most lovely personality. I went in this week and the people were nice and greeted me. The place is very clean. The workers are clean and groomed. I believe this is the best shop under the same name.

This thrift shop is the clean , well organized and beautiful.The volunteers are friendly and above helpful. The merchandise is to quality at reasonable prices. Management is hard working and dedicated. I do not like to shop! I have found greeting cards , Jewelry and furniture of high quality. This is a hidden jewel.

It's sad to say that I am disgusted by the behavior of three grown adults Caucasian women. my daughter, and I entered the store to take a look not 1 ounce of greeting or assistance was provided other than an abrupt. Excuse me there's a cart coming through to move, however all the other older Caucasian women that entered the store after me, and prior to me, were being helped, and provided respect and courtesy, was I not because I am 30 years old look young and have a five-year-old daughter with me both of us of color? This isn't the first time there's also another gentleman here who is Caucasian and exudes the same rudeness and lack of customer service, and respect, I will never return here and I will not support the American Cancer Society in this form Only giving one star due to the fact that I'm unable to leave a review without doing so otherwise they would get a -10 stars Highly disappointed to say the least that MODESTO cannot progress enough to show courtesy to people of color.

They get a lot of nice stuff at this thrift store so this should be your first stop when you're thrift store shopping. It's for a good cause, and they get some vintage stuff. I bought my Elvis Presley Pepsi bottles there.
