Recently I've felt like "I need to start writing more 3 or 4 star reviews, to show balance", but my experience at Tony's is NOT one where I'm going to start. When you find a mechanic that is not only knowledgable and has solid work ethic, but shows EMPATHY? Yeah, that's one you hold on to. Tony and his wife Susan were incredibly kind to me, even when my first time there I was not as patient due to the stress of the situation that I brought to THEIR door step. But after a month and a half and 3 or 4 positive experiences, I can honestly say this is a great place to bring your car when you are up the proverbial automotive creek without a paddle. They will take care of you. It may not look exactly as you had expected, but that's their job. To explain the reality, point out your options, and do a thorough job, while not making you feel like the less then mechanically inclined individual many of us are. Will be back. For sure.

I feel any business on lunch break should either post a sign saying "Out to lunch, be back soon", close their doors, or heck just acknowledge the customer and say " Hey, we just sat down to eat". DO NOT let a customer walk in and stand their for 10 min while they ramble on and pretend they didn't see me. ( Yes one mechanic looked right at me as I walked in) Also, gotta say, as a black man living in a predominantly white neighborhood, this is the kinda stuff that makes me feel uncomfortable. White, black, mexican, asian, whatever, we all deserve to be treated better than I was today. I suggest people take their business elsewhere.

Came here for a brake and light inspection. Great Service. Good people: Mark and his wife Sue. Meticulous inspection. Maybe too thorough, since I needed this for the DMV.

Some reviews are downright hilarious. I only read the bad ones because I always need a really good laugh. I remember Tony as far back as Chevron, Laguna Niguel and that's 30+ years ago. Things to think about (AJ) if a shop says they'll call you, then they do not, maybe it's a hint? Your car is a pile, take it elsewhere. (Val) it's a conspiracy, their short on factory manuals, so they stole yours. Lol Judi is another piece of work, hey! Can you do 19 other things to my car, none of which I want to pay for. What's the matter, don't you want my business?All of $20 I have a coupon! Structuring her entire review to avoid the fact that's she's just cheap. SC, lol .. Waaaa! SOMEONE DELETED MY REVIEW!! The living social DEAL, is only for the extreme BottomFeeder, which nobody wants. Case in point:YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Tony's is too far from me now but I still go there when I have a problem nobody else can figure out. He's been fixing cars since before they were all computerized. When they used to do it the hard way.

Had an appointment for an oil change and 21 point inspection during my lunch hour. I waited 20 minutes and they still had not taken my car back. I had to remind them i was on lunch and was worried they would not get it done in time. She said it would not be a problem and went into the shop and asked them to take my car in. It was then ready in 10 minutes. I asked if they were able to complete the inspection and the owners wife said yes, they found no issues, if they did it would be noted on my paperwork. I knew I was low on power steering fluid and my right front tire is very worn yet that was not noted. Disappointed that I trusted them to help keep me safe on the road but don't feel like I can go back.

I brought my car in for service. They said they needed to order a part and that it would take a few days for it to come in. My car still operated, so I took it, and they said they'd call me when the part came in. Pretty standard.Except they never called. I never heard from them again. Even after I called and left a voicemail to follow up, nothing. While waiting for them, my car ended up breaking down, I needed to get it towed, and it disrupted my ability to commute to work. I brought it elsewhere, and it was fixed in two days.When I shared this story with coworkers, they said they heard similar stories about Tony's and that you're better off bringing your car to other shops in the center. Don't waste your time here.
