This nice guy helping my wife for over 25min and the manager lady comes up and says sorry we can't help you do this return. She Was with my crying baby and after this nice guy tried helping get the correct color the manager B comes walking up and said you're holding up the line. Instead of making it right she had her leave without doing anything. She was rude and just that vibe of a women that makes. We will not spend another dollar here and will take our money to Nordstrom's

Needed to replace a few very specific things and it had been years since I’d stepped foot inside this store; having become accustomed to online shopping but couldn’t wait.It was bright, clean and the signage made things easy. Although along the way I did need some help and they were quickly able to find exactly what I needed.Reasonably priced, excellent stock within store and a plethora of choices. It was fun discovering new items to try.Overall a successful and enjoyable experience.

Shops at Mission Viejo Sephora has the worst for customer service. The last three times I've been in and each time I tell myself not to return to this location. Yesterdays interaction with the woman at the counter (Adela, I think) was the worst yet. Attempted to return three foundations that didn't match my skin tone (associates and color matching are not their strong suit). She looked up my account with my phone number and then kept asking me questions as if I had stolen the products - when I bought them (even though she could see the dates and purchase history on her records), did I use them, why I was returning, etc. It's like they don't actually want you to return anything! I attempted to show her my receipts on the app, it was down because of the sale. I showed her my email receipt, but she continued being suspicious of me and was extremely rude and condescending. I'll never return to this store. I actually went to the south coast plaza location later in the day and had a wonderful shopping experience. Helpful and cheerful associates. Mission Viejo associates attitude match the store - dark and dingy. As a rouge member, I expect more. Will never shop Sephora Mission Viejo again.

Lori did my makeup yesterday for a wedding and I loved it so much! She knows exactly what she is doing. I showed her a couple of inspiration photos and told her my style (I like my makeup natural). That's all the information she needed to make me look and feel beautiful! I got so many compliments last night. To be completely honest I've never loved a makeup look as much as I did that night! Lori is very professional, has integrity in her work, and is passionate about what she does. Thank you again, Lori!

I walked in today, and the associate near the front asked if I was looking for something specific. I replied I was looking for a leave in conditioner / heat protectant 10 in 1 spray by L'Oreal Professional, and she replies, "L'Oreal? I don't carry that. That would be like, Target." I mentioned I saw it online (it turns out it is out of stock) and she just said "hmm.. no," and I walked out. I really wish she would have proposed an alternative product because I would have purchased.

Natalie was helpful in assisting me, she helped me find what I was looking for and immediately was open to answering my questions & giving good information. She gave me some suggestions that were however out of my scope of necessity as I'm sure she's trained to but nonetheless was very kind. However, the staff seem somewhat stressed at the registers, they had 2 cashiers working for a line of people, and other employees were walking around but not assisting. The male cashier is somewhat catty & his tonality and delivery is somewhat pointed. It had been years since I've shopped in store & I had needed some clarification on the insider benefits and he was rather short and annoyed & tried to rush me along which I was not appreciative of. Aside from that, seeing people walk around and not give backup to other employees is somewhat aggravating & disappointing. Even if someone's main role isn't cashiering, I gather there should some sort of basic training extended to all employees to better assist costumers & guests in an efficient and timely manner, ie having them trained to run a cash register and process transactions at the point of sale instead of having customers stand for 15-20 minutes and only taking the time to yell out to them to redirect the growing line is less than professional and welcoming for people who are patronizing their establishment.

Dark. If you need a color match, go to a different store. The poor cast members are working with what they have. But you are constantly fighting shadows. Whoever decided on spotlighting in the store should be fired. It's cramped, it's dark, unless you know exactly what you need, choose another store.

Trying to pay this evening was awful! There was a lady at the register talking and talking non-stop to the only cashier. What's worse, is that the cashier with the short pixie cut (who sounds like Minnie Mouse when she talks) was having a full blown conversation with this woman. This went on for at least 6 minutes, which is an eternity when you're just trying to pay for something and leave. The line kept getting longer and longer, and this cashier was completely oblivious and kept carrying on, laughing, asking questions, recommending certain leave-in conditioners and other products, asking this customer if she'd like the full size or travel size of this or that product, telling her about which product she likes and why, etc. etc. etc. Basically giving this one person a full-on consultation. (Keep in mind, she hadn't even gotten to this woman's points yet.) The lady standing in line in front of me huffed and puffed. I locked eyes with her briefly and rolled my eyes. We both had had enough. It's ridiculous that no other cashiers were called. But there were plenty of employees on the floor either standing around chatting with each other or helping customers at the last minute. At this point they had already cut the overhead music because the store was about to close. Still, the line didn't budge and there was only one cashier. This one solo cashier had such tunnel vision and continued to be so oblivious as to how inconsiderate she was to the other 9+ people that needed to be checked out. I finally spoke up and asked her if there were any other cashiers that could come to the front to help out. This employee, caught off guard, clapped back at my request and asked me to "please be patient because everyone is busy helping other customers." She didn't even apologize, or request back-ups, or anything. She automatically scolded me. Beyond triggered, I pointed out the obvious and told her that some of just needed to pay and go. I'm sure that I'm the one who looks like the bad guy, simply because I'm the one who spoke up. But rest assured I wasn't the only one standing in line pissed and huffing and puffing. I'm sure there was a million cameras (and microphones) on me, and within 60 seconds a second cashier appeared and opened up a register. The line **finally** started to slowly move. The one woman who was up there getting the full-on consultation and chatting away finally got her credit card out to pay, and she apologized to the pixie cut cashier. This cashier replied by saying, "no, don't apologize." And she made sure to say this a little louder than normal (probably to make sure I was in ear-shot and heard this.) I expect more from Sephora. Some of us have other things to do besides stand in line for 10 minutes and witness a stranger's full-blown custom consultation about half a dozen different products by the cashier. But when you're so oblivious and hold up the line that bad, then you shouldn't be working the registers. It's sad when they hire and train these retail employees, and they have zero common sense when it comes to basic customer service. If I'm going to be "punished" and basically called impatient while we're all sick and tired of waiting because one cashier is beyond oblivious then I'll just give my business to Ulta moving forward.

A decent men's fragrance selection, much of it out dated, very few of the new releases, and an overly fastidious helper throwing away every test strip I sprayed when I was trying to find out the dry down scent. And the mouth breathing security guard who literally stood across from me and stared at me the entire time I was shopping, as though he expected me to grab a tester and run. I don't mind getting the hairy eyeball from the man while shopping, just make it at least look like you're pretending to do something else??
