I had a terrible experience this morning when I took my Shih Tzu for a haircut and grooming appointment. This was her second visit in the last three months. The first time was great, so I decided to bring her regularly.
However, today was completely different. The groomer, who I won't name, was very rude from the moment we walked in. She came up with reasons why I should not get my dog groomed and explained them in a very rude manner, making me feel like I was doing something wrong by taking her to the groomers. I was trying to explain why she was fine the last time when she got a full service and that they had only had trouble trimming her facial hair. While I was explaining this, she immediately responded rudely that "That's not what you said" and cut me short. I spent 10-15 mins talking to her after spending 20 minutes driving there. After I left she called and left a message that my dog had a meltdown which is a bunch of nonsense. We're talking about a small Shih Tzu senior dog who I’ve been grooming and giving haircuts for years without any issues. I am no professional and would expect that one who is will know how to handle them.
To make matters worse, when I spoke to the manager about the situation, he sided with the employee and simply said they didn’t charge me anything and tried to give me the same reasons why they are declining service. This completely overlooked the fact that I had to waste two hours dealing with this unprofessional behavior.
The whole experience was frustrating and disappointing. I won't be bringing my dog back here and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable and respectful grooming service.

They take good care of the animals. The cats were so sweet and there’s everything you need for your pets in there. I got the duck feed for when I go to parks and feed them

Actually, my family went to the PETCO store located at "25592 El Paseo, Mission Viejo, CA 92691" this afternoon.
At that time, we looked around for fish to raise in my home.
So we asked a lot of questions about fish to your staff Mr.Kaoni.
At that time, the staff of Mr. Kaoni(Keoni?) was very kind and helpful to us. Even he didn't lose his kindness until the end.
I think he is a professional in the fish field.
My family was so satisfied with his answers.

I had 10am dog grooming appointment at this location with Sara.
Despite receiving a text confirmation just 55 minutes prior to my appointment, upon arriving at the store, I was informed that my appointment had been canceled without any prior notice. It was only then that I was informed of a water pipe issue as the reason for the closure. While I understand unforeseen circumstances can arise, the lack of communication regarding the cancellation is unacceptable.
What aggravates me even more is the fact that I had adjusted my work schedule to make it to the appointment, only to be met with this inconvenience. The employees at the store admitted that Sara should have called to notify customers of the issue and to reschedule. This demonstrates a below-average level of professionalism and customer service on Sara's part.
The most crucial aspect of any appointment is not just scheduling it but also holding it and notifying customers of any changes in a timely manner. The poor communication demonstrated by the business wasted not only my time but also left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.
Furthermore, upon visiting the store, I encountered no sense of urgency or empathy from the employees regarding the inconvenience caused to customers. This lack of accountability and customer care only adds to my dissatisfaction with Petco's service.
In conclusion, I expect better communication and professionalism from Petco and its employees. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, especially when disruptions occur. I hope this issue will be addressed promptly to prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.

Ive been going to here for over 20 years and can’t say enough good things about this location. The staff are friendly, very knowledgeable but most importantly want to help and talk pets. My daughter absolutely loves going and asks to go there more than the trampoline park. Really wholesome place ❤️

Usually at smaller pet stores I get the conversation that feels personal but the gentleman who helped me today was very nice and comented about what i was purchasing. I think if corporates hire more people we will see more of that extra effort to communicate all the time and wont have to deal with workers who are tired and have to multitask all day.
