I wish Google would allow me to put zero stars for my review. Please God I'm begging anyone reading this, do not use this company. I dealt with the owner and CEO James Edwards. He spoke to me for an hour and told me that my situation on a refinancing of two properties was perfectly fine. I gave him all of the information about my deal and asked him not to pull my credit yet before we have all answers verified and good to go. What did he do? He pulled my credit immediately after telling me he would not. This poorly affected my credit and subsequent rate I got with another lender I did use for the refinance. After pulling my credit, I did not hear from him for an entire month. When I finally decided to call him back a month later, he told me that there was nothing he could do for me. Again, this was AFTER pulling my credit and keeping me waiting in limbo for a month. And please know that this was not because I have bad credit. My credit was stellar. Absolutely no late payments, no collections, STELLAR credit. So no, it was not because the deal was bad or my credit was poor. He just gave me completely wrong information regarding his own program and wasted my time filling out an application that he didn't seem worthy of executing after a whole month. PLEASE DO NOT USE OCEAN LENDING!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR YOUR MONEY!!

I can not say thank you enough to Jill Hamilton of USA Reverse Mortgage. She provided exceptional service to my elderly uncle through the entire process. She was helpful, patient, and compassionate toward my uncle helping him every step of the way when he needed a bit more help or assistance. When my Uncle wanted me to be informed of everything happening, Jill continually reached out to me to keep me posted through the entire process. Jill on many occasions went above and beyond and we just can't thank her enough for all her assistance. I guess it's hit and miss with this company.I was lead on to believe my loan was going through all the way till 8 days before funding.I jumped through so many hoops with them and I was so excited to get it done.Then all of a sudden they say I need to change my refi to an investment loan and by this time the rates shot up. They had all of the documentation at the halfway point that they could have changed it then. I was still hopeful because I really needed this loan to help my autistic grandchildren. Now I have to come up with 6 months of reserve in my bank account and they knew I was broke. They even had me pay for an appraisal even though they knew it was going to change. I see all of these great reviews on here and wonder if they're true.Heartless company, but I had a great loan officer that kept it going just for me. Don't do me any favors. Good luck maybe you will be one of the lucky ones.

Ocean Lending and in particular Paul Kim and Trent Fordyce got my loan across the finish line when others couldn't or should I say wouldn't put forth the extra effort my situation required. Because of them my Son and I will stay in our home after a divorce buy out and other financial constraints. This company is the epitome of customer service. They were always available and responded timely and I mean timely (generally within minutes). Even before or after business hours. You are not just a number or sale with this company. They truly care and want to help. I'm in the customer service field and I am truly impressed by how they provided honest, friendly, and personalized service. Thank you Paul, Trent, and everyone that helped me cross the finish line!

I cannot recommend Ocean Lending enough. Best refinancing experience by far (and our past experiences were pretty good!). Communication was excellent. I felt like Michael was one step ahead of everything throughout the whole process. It was a seamless and easy experience. Highly recommend.
