Our cat Zoey was attacked by a coyote, and a local emergency vet hospital that evaluated/stabilized her in the middle night recommended Dr. Gunderson. Dr. Gunderson and her staff at Muirlands were amazing! After taking Zoey in as an emergency client, suturing her wounds, etc., she provided ongoing guidance in follow up visits for the past two weeks, giving me instructions, proper meds, etc. so I could care for Zoey at home without needing to send her to an animal hospital for a long stay. Probably the best vet experience I've ever had...their quality care and support are the reasons my cat (and I!) survived her traumatic injuries! Thank you Dr. Gunderson and Staff!

I've been a long time customer with my pet bird. I called to schedule an appointment for a beak and nail trim. First thing I was told there will be an additional charge for a check up, which is something new and was never done under Dr. Ikeda. I asked for a quote. Hold your horses: $278 for a beak and nail trim. $60 check up, $83 and some change for the trims, $125 for sedation!!!
While I do love Dr. Gunderson and the staff, but that is pretty ridiculous.

Dr Gunderson is the best at what she does! We honestly have been up since 4 am trying to get care for our lil guy due to a blockage and facilities were trying charging us $2k and above after we'd already spent over $600 trying to get him help. My sister recommend this months again and I finally decided to call and see what could be done as we were running short on time. She and her teams were so patient and caring and ended up getting us the best price in town and I think the entire world. While we do have some things to take care of at home after everything was said and done we are more than happy and so relieved to have been able to see our lil guy in way better shape. Though we don't live very close we are more than willing to make the drive just for the amount of care and concern her and the staff showed us and our situation

I couldn’t be happier with my care at Muirlands Animal & Avian Hospital. Everyone is so kind (to people and pets alike!) and I love having the peace of mind that my baby is in such excellent hands. Dr. Gunderson is the best!

Complete waste of time. Vet doesn’t listen and the receptionist is rude. Everyone seems overworked. Try somewhere else.

My cat is my north star, my entire universe in a 13lb bundle and the staff at this office treats her like the treasure she is! I’ve been back several times dealing with some dental work for Naga and they have been not only professional but incredibly kind and informative as well as gentle with my sweet girl. I brought her for a surgery a week or so ago and was very anxious, but thedoctor and incredible techs took such good care of her. Since the procedure, she’s turned around and her sweetness is back like never before. I hardly realized how much she has changed behaviorally due to her pain, and I couldn’t have gotten my daughter back without this team. Take your kids here!!

Dr. Gunderson is very knowledgeable, and she shows compassion and empathy towards both animals and their owners. All of the support staff are A+++, too!

Saw Dr Gunderson for my canary and her and everyone at Muirlands were super sweet, knowledgeable and professional. You could tell they really cared about the animals they were helping. Highly recommend Muirlands.

Doctor and staff are excellent. I've gone to them over the years and we are now on our third rescue dog with them. They are caring and do all they can to assist with any needs necessary. Would highly recommend this Doctor and team for your fur baby.

Hello, I took my little canary Rosie to get a metal band taken off his leg. Dr Ikeda helped me. The next day he was not feeling well & I was very worried about him & his pain. Dr Ikeda made a house call to check my little birds well being. That shows me how much he truly cares about the animals ( big & small ) that he treats. I appreciate his kindness & will continue to take my canary to him for his care. I highly recommend this hospital. Thank you. Victoria

my pit bull boots got his first free exam today. the front desk receptionist was super sweet and made our day. dr gunderson was extremely helpful and kind towards us and our doggie. so far it's been a great experience all around and we will be coming back for all of our pets medical care from this point on.

My dog was having issues with his stool and I was concerned about internal bleeding or another serious condition. Thankfully, there was availability on the same day. Dr. Ikeda is very knowledgeable, helpful, and personable. He saw how concerned I was and took the time to explain to me what the diagnosis steps are. After the first set of tests, he thoroughly explained the results. I did not feel rushed and I felt comfortable asking all the questions I had. He has also been very prompt in informing me of next steps and been consulting with other doctors to get the best treatment and diagnosis possible. The staff have also been very sweet. Normally, my dog is terrified and trembling when he goes to the vet. The staff were able to make him feel comfortable enough to be happy and wagging his tail (a first for him!). I'm very satisfied with the care he has received so far!
