Great variety of goods. The staff isn’t the friendliest, but I can’t entirely blame them. I’ve witnessed the lack of training in customer service, so naturally customers are short with them- which in turn makes them less than capable to be kind.I don’t blame them individually, it’s a whole system of lack of training.Otherwise I like the place. Serves what I need!

We need places like Michael's and Joanns for kids and adults to handcraft things. This store is organized, the service is helpful. Only I'd say prices are maybe double what I think they should be.

Best craft store there is. They have so much stuff. Everything from home decor to all your crafting needs. We love Michaels!

It is way too difficult to find prices on certain decorative items if you do not know where to look on attached tags, since they do not post prices visibly. Cost of item can be a big surprise when you check out. When I mentioned this to the check out person she said any of the staff on the floor could assist. Sadly there were not many of them to ask. They may have 40% to 50% off; although, based on original price in many cases that discount brings it down to a normal price.

I did a return and the cashier refused to refund the tax I paid! Taking this up the chain. If you return something...check your receipt carefully.

Went in the morning and it wasn't crowded. Asked an employee who was clearly on the spectrum for help and he quickly showed me right to the item I wanted. Short like at check out.

Worst customer service. I had bought some fall items online and tried to return in store. The minute the cashier saw my fall item, she said " nope, can't return it" rudely. I told her I bought the items online and that none were marked as final sale. She wouldn't even look at my receipt and kept saying "its a clearance item, can't return". I then asked to speak to the manager and she said, "fine, I will het her bit I don't know what you want her to say. She will tell you the same thing". I told her I was just trying to understand their return policy as her explanation didn't make sense. The manager then cane out and said the same thing and wouldn't look at my receipt. I then left and called Michael's customer service and they said I was able to return my items since it was an online order. I can't believe the employees at this particular location are so rude and don't know their own policies. They act as if you are the problem but clearly they are!

First time at this store and omg the cashier that handled my purchase was the RUDEST ever! She wore glasses and a ponytail! Sadly I didn't get here name! ! Guys, I understand "it's the season" of hectic holiday shopping but there is no reason a person /employee should be sooo pushy !

Kids workshop was disorganized. They said it’s not on the agenda when all the parents and kids arrived. After we showed email prove, they then setup a table 20mins after the start time. They didn’t even have enough seats or chairs for the kids. One kid had to stand, one kid sat on a stool and one kid had no space. This is very badly managed.

Sam in the framing department at the Michael’s store in Mission Viejo (El Paseo) was extremely helpful, professional, and made sure we received exactly what we wanted and more! My picture is now a treasure that I will have forever!

I had the most unbelievable experience here on Friday night 10/20/23...a few days prior I purchased a rolling cart from here for around 70 dollars and paid extra for the "protection" plan that they kept pushing. After assembling it at home I realized it was very poor quality and wobbled terribly so I disassembled it and took it back to Michaels with my husband and toddler waiting in the car before dinner thinking this would be an easy return. Immediately while holding this huge box I was told that I had to file a claim online (what???) I said "umm I just want to return this, how do other people return items to Michaels who didn't purchase a protection plan? They just can't???" The woman who I am assuming was the manager just said "nope". As if it wasn't bad enough that I was seemingly being punished and having to jump through all of these hoops for paying for this protection plan all I got afterwards was an email congratulating me that my claim was approved and that I had a credit for Michaels stores. The manager tried to normalize this experience despite me saying multiple times that I did NOT want to purchase anything else at Michaels. She had no explanation as to why I couldn't get my money back with the original packaging, my receipt in their system, and a "protection plan" that I paid extra for. She could only give me a phone number to call....(yay more work for me to do)....After that I even thanked her because I could tell she was flustered and all she said was "yup" as if I was the problem here. No apology, nothing. My poor husband and toddler were starving. Needless to say I'll never shop at Michaels again.

We love coming here for all of our craft supplies. This store is a convenient location and always clean, the employees are friendly and helpful.We were disappointed that they no longer carry some of our sewing needs.
