We recently had 2 antique rocking chairs, a sofa and loveseat recovered by Howard's Custom Upholstery. The entire experience exceeded our expectations! Elaine was very kind and helpful when I was trying to select the perfect fabrics, in coordinating everything and was so excited whenever I came by "to visit my furniture!" It was obvious that Tavy and Elaine are experienced professionals in the upholstery industry. The work is done on-sight which was another plus. The quality workmanship and the attention to details on each piece was beyond what we expected. We love our "new" furniture and would definitely recommend Howard's.

Howard and Elaine were very friendly and they made sure we got the beat customer service. They explained the details of the work will be done and how they will fix our coach. We just received our cushions tonight and we love the final product.

I had a couch and two chairs that I had wanted to get reupholstered for years. We discovered Howard's and were extremely pleased with their customer service and work. Tavy knew the ins and outs of reupholstering my furniture and did such an amazing job. Elaine was so kind and really made an effort to find just the right material that suited my taste. She took a lot of time with me and helped me pick out fabrics that suited my taste and updated my furniture. She even ordered samples for me to see in my home so I could really get a sense of what the finished product would look like. I was so pleased with the end result and love my new, modern looking furniture. This definitely is a hidden gem in Mission Viejo! I so happy to have had my furniture reupholstered at Howards!

Use no one else but Howard's. Elaine knows her stuff. I've used them for over 25 years and they are honest and know quality. Made recommendations that made total sense. Family owned and passed down through the generations so has seen it all. They have taken extra care with us and we so appreciate it and blessed by the experience.

I absolutely LOVE my 6 re-upholstered dining chairs! Thanks to Elaine, we came up with the best looking fabric, taking into consideration the design of my home and the space the chairs were going to be displayed. Elaine worked with my dates and made sure that I came by to review how the fabric was going to lay. The fabric was by far not an easy one to work with, velvet with the hairs going various directions, and yet Elaine and the staff had my chairs ready, on time and stunning! Beyond what I expected! And super comfortable too! The total cost of the reupholstery with pick up and delivery for the six chairs was considerably beneath what it would have cost to buy new! I have several other items at home that I will most definitely be bringing to them. I can't say enough about the quality of their craftsmanship, their genuine attention to detail and to making sure the customer is happy. They are truly a gem to work with and their craftsmanship is impeccable! Thanks so very much Elaine and Tavi!!!

Tavi and Elaine and everyone at Howard's Custom Upholstery is in the top of their class! I just received back several pieces of furniture that I have had for years, reupholstered with precision by them, and this has transformed my home! Stunning is the word that comes to mind! Reupholstering can be pricey but if you have good, we'll made pieces, better to reupholster than replace them with junk. We have had barstools reupholstered here and an ottoman. Howard & Nancy (?) are knowledgeable and helpful about the fabrics. Lots to choose from at their shop!

Cannot say enough good things about this company - Expert, Professional, Highly Skilled, and Honest. The owner, Tavi, has high standards, and his staff does absolutely beautiful work. There may be other skilled upholstery companies out there (possibly ;o), but Howard's also has the wonderful Elaine, an added bonus. Many upholsters these days expect you to have your own decorator to spec the fabric selection ahead of time, and they just do the installation. Howard's has Elaine on staff. She helps individuals as well as decorators at no charge find the perfect fabric. Describe what you are thinking of and she can pull just the right fabric books and turn to the relevant pages in an instant. She is amazing! Found this company years ago, when Angie's List was still an unbiased consumer-driven review site (now a paid advertising site). And, every time I go back there, am impressed all over again.

I've had several pieces of furniture reupholstered at Howard's. Tavi and Elaine have always been very professional, kind, honest, and thorough with each piece they have completed. They stand behind their craftsmanship and each piece was completed before the time they had estimated. I am very fortunate to have found them and I will never go anywhere else for my upholstery needs. (5 stars)

The owner - Mr. "no can do" was rude and unhelpful. Why anyone would talk to a potential customer like he spoke to me is incomprehensible. I will take my business elsewhere!

This is the place! Exceptional skill, fabulous fabric selection, friendly service with integrity and wonderful pricing- their work on our 25 year old dining room chairs makes them look and feel brand new. Don't go anywhere else!
