Avoid this place at all costs. Hired them to install wood floors , they had me pay in full then never called me back. They even canceled the wood and still kept my money. Then after i called them to get the ball rolling they used too much glue and all the flooring cupped and warped. They had to rip out all the wood. So they had to order more wood and decided to ship it ground instead of overnight. We lived in a tore up home for two weeks. When the wood showed up the installers pointed out that the wood wasn't milled right and left gaps. Glue oozed through the gaps on to the top of the floor. The decision was made to refund us the cost of the job. When i went in they had no idea what was going on. Un freaking believable. The manager shows no real interest and pushes it off to lower level employees who in turn have no idea what theyre doing. Its a total disgrace on the name of HD. My advice, run !!!

I would never purchase an appliance nor anything else at this store going forward. I purchased a dishwasher to come against "4" attempted deliveries (well last one installed but defective and with dishonest practices). First delivery damaged and second one stating they couldn't install due to L shaped kitchen (which they already knew with first attempt) with subsequent another being delivered damaged at which point I had hired outside installation service (damages were pointed out by delivery guys) with last one being just dishonest practices by Temco and Home Depot. Delivery guy came and told me "it's good unit" and lets get going to install it. I told him he wasn't supposed to install it. I told him I had a company coming to install next day, and he told me "Maam, I'm going to take care of you". I also noticed there wasn't an insulation blanket on unit and he said it didn't come with one. I had ordered same exact model previously 3 times and it always came with one. He said well some come with one and some don't, and you don't really need it unless you are installing it in a RUV. He also said he needed to get on with it because he had 27 deliveries ahead to make and I had to decide whether I wanted him to do it or not, while at same time he was saying he "thought he could do it" and then I can do it. I felt uneasy about it but was also very stressed with the endless game of damaged dishwashers to not being able to in install, to magically going to "we can install but you need to hurry an make up your mind" (even though no insultation blanket) and no one accepting responsibility for any of these mistakes. I've never had an experience like this esp not with an appliance and I have to recommend you dodge that bullet. Its been most stressful, costly, dishonest practices appliance purchase I've ever made.

On January 28, 2024, I went to your indoor plant department to find a specific plant and found you carried it. To my disappointment, the care and management of your plant section is grim in that every single plant was so damaged and ruined they were not sellable. See first 3 photos. This isn’t including other plants just as damaged. I informed your manager on duty at the time and he kept saying it wasn’t his fault and vendors bring them in. I wasn’t blaming him but I expected more from your manager in addressing the problem instead of blaming another source. This past weekend I decided to see if the problem had been addressed only to find the same problems. Your plants are shoved together, overwatered, and many are damaged. It’s so unfortunate because you have a beautiful selection of plants, but many are just not purchase worthy due to rotting, yellow, and torn leaves.Someone should talk to your vendors or your staff that manages this department.

I live in Ladera so have frequented this location previously as it is close to home. I came in today looking to have two house keys made. I thought I recalled this location used to have a key making station near the front of the store but it's now located near the door hardware in back. Moving to this location of the store is not a good idea as there are fewer employees in this part of the store. I waited five minutes, one associate passed by me with another customer. I then went and asked someone for assistance and they said they would find someone to assist me. I waited another five minutes and left. I consider this place ok if you know what you need and can self serve yourself. Otherwise, I might suggest Ace Hardware where I was in and out in five minutes with my keys. I also believe it says something when there is no store response on the reviews they receive on this site, which is unusual for a customer service business.

The rental service is amazing. I got the most help I could need from Jersey. The knowledge that was given to me and how clean the vehicle was, was amazing. It was fast, smooth and easily the best service I could have ever wanted. The return was just as amazing! Jersey was able to explain everything there is needed to know. Her ability to work with multiple customers AND get you in and out of their shop was unlike any other store I've ever been too. She's friendly and above all a hard worker! She made sure that the truck I was getting, was ready to go and that it was in the best shape before sending it out. I recommend using this Home Depot rental service for your needs that are within there area to help. More importantly if you want the most information on tools there talk to her. This store has improved greatly since hiring someone like her and I will definitely return if I am ever in need of a vehicle.

How to lose a 30+ year Mission Viejo Home Depot customer: Begin by hiring **** and **** (likely made up names they gave me) to run the Rental Department. Offer truck rentals. When a customer returns the truck rental fully refueled and clean, publicly humiliate him/her at the rental counter for returning the truck with the cab smelling of cigarette smoke, and adding a surcharge of $50 to the invoice. Yes, the passenger had a cigarette. No, the smell was not obvious, and barely detectable (if at all). Then, two weeks later, when the 30+ year loyal customer returns, and needs to rent a truck again (from both **** and ****), prepare to profile him/her. Surely this nicotine addicted rental customer will smoke in the cab again (because he's SO stupid). Next, upon his/her return, reprimand and threaten the customer for smoking in the the truck cab again. But unlike the first time (for which the customer took full responsibility) there had been NO smoking in the cab. Then upon hearing the customer deny such behavior, state that "well, the smell must have leaked from your clothing into the cab of the vehicle". The customer, knowing full well, he/she is not a smoker (and had no passengers this time) begins to get upset. After all, these are false accusations with no evidence. **** and**** are clearly profiling from an earlier experience with this customer. When the customer denies the accusation and expresses his/her displeasure, tell him/her that they are not going to be charged the $50 "smoking in the cab" fee, and and try to make them feel grateful for the leniency this time. Finally, when the customer asks for the names of the two employees (so to share the experience with management), give fictitious names. And then after the 30+ year loyal customer departs- have a chuckle about how clever you are......and wait patiently for his/her return in the near future (to offer up more humiliation). But , alas, the customer has gone- forever.......to LOWES.

Twice I have been here and there is no one in the paint department. Other team members ask for support and use the radio. No one shows up.

Sold me a washing machine and a day later it didn't work. Unable to get customer service from home depot and just get pushed to Maytag customer service and they are useless. They contract with the 1 company in my area and after 2 weeks of waiting for someone to come out and fix the machine he got sick. And now have to wait another wk. I learned my lesson. Never buy appliances at Home Depot. And don't buy Maytag.

Tonight I went in to HomeDepot to make some returns and about 8:30 1/2/2024 and some I had reciepts other I use a credit card I'm aware of my options for return it's not the cashier position to police me and scare me that I'm returning too many items that are past the return period if items are from Homedepot that I purchased way back on good faith with the intention to use but for what ever reason I didn't??... I shouldn't be led to believe or scared by anyone that the system will refuse the return and make the decision not to continue returning three more items or whatever amount it's not her decision!! What miss Ariana did was very unprofessional and she needs to be re trained and do her job right and not to profile people based on appearances or what's being returned ! Cooerate needs to step in and evaluate the reviews of how shoppers are being miss informed and lied too their is definitely no need for scare tactic?? a store credit with a driver license attached is not going to hurt anyone if anything it's going to be used and more money will be spent with my license your collecting system should be able to recognize how much money is actually being spent versus returned and not give real shoppers a hard time by miss informed " cashiers " Homedepot store manager at this location needs to put the right people in right position, I would give a zero star score but I actually like shopping at homedepot. it's unprofessional rude and miss informed sales people who ruin the shopping experience that upper mgmt needs to step in and train. Good luck Thk u

I love Home Depot for it materials that I can quickly purchase, and I love the variety quality of the materials, and I love the people that work there. For the most part, they are helpful and knowledgeable. I am mainly, however, writing this review to acknowledge an exemplary employee, who turned negative things around and made my latest visit a very positive appointment. The story of that visit. As excellent as Home Depot is, there, is one issue, however, that has failed to improve over the years, and that is communication by phone. I have had multiple phone, call, disconnects, and people who were not knowledgeable that should not have been answering the phone to give advice or information. Case in point. I drove to my local Home Depot in Mission Viejo, California, yesterday morning, just before they opened at 6 AM. I was trying to find out information about their Christmas tree lot, a place where we have purchased our trees through the years, and been extremely satisfied with the quality and variety of the trees they have there a lot. As I approach the area with a lot was, I saw no signs outside, showing the times that they were opened, so I decided to call (not wanting to get out of my car on the cold morning and go inside. The automated system gave me multiple hangups, so I decided to wait until a later time. I called again at seven, and then again at eight, but could not reach any live person. I eventually did have someone answer the phone call, but I could not understand him, nor could he understand me. He transferred me to customer service, that ended up being a warranty Department at another location. The woman was helpful, and she gave me information; however, the information was incorrect. She told me that the lot would be opened at 6 AM, which was not true, and she also told me that there would be a new Monday morning delivery of fresh trees, but that they would not be offloaded until Tuesday morning, so I should just wait patiently until the next day. My better judgment, and my knowledge of how the workers at the Christmas tree lot are always ready to offload and always ready to help prompted me to visit the lot in person at 1 PM on Monday. Ali greeted me, asked if he could help, and told me that they were at that moment, offloading the delivery that it just came in. he was only able to pick out an excellent tree for me, but he on the car, gave suggestions about taking it off the car. When I got home, apologize for the incorrect information I had received earlier, and sent me on my way, another successful Home Depot visit, successful only because of an employee who, at this busy pre-Christmas time, chose to go above and beyond.
