The return policy is too strict. I order $700 worth of clothing online and frequently have large orders. They refuse to return when I'm still waiting for backordered items to come in from that very order I'm trying to return. I call customer service and I get a foreigner who I can't understand and seems to be just reading a script.

Went to the Gap today to return a couple of items (with gift receipts) I received as Christmas gifts. They wouldn't give me a refund nor store credit because it had been past the 30 day return period. 30 day?! What kind of draconian return policy is that? I even called corporate. NO EXCEPTIONS! Way to take care of your bread and butter. I will never set foot in a Gap again, and I will make sure all my friends and family know about their poor customer service.

I was in Gap an hour ago and was disappointed that no one acknowledged me. There were 3 ladies folding the clothes and none of them said hi or asked if I needed help. For all they know I could have been a secret shopper and they failed miserably. The only friendly person was the cashier. The only thing that I was happy about was getting additional 25% off my items that were already on sale.
