I went in this morning to buy some Hoka shoes. I went to the shoe department which is large, I saw one guy in a tank top just trying out shoes off the displays. I guessed he didn't work there. I waited around. No one. It was a ghost town. I walked toward the other end. There was a lady putting shoes on a kid. Nope, she didn't work there. Just taking shoes off the racks.I walked in the back but there were just shoes all over the floor and open boxes everywhere. I went back out and finally a guy walked out to take care of lady trying to pay. He told her to go to the other end. I told him I want to buy. Then the guy with the tank top walked up and butted in and said he wanted to try on 3 or 4 types. So I was cut off. I sat down and waited. When the salesman finally came back out he said they didn't have the style I wanted but to try on some others. They didn't fit. He had left by then. I wanted to leave but was afraid someone would walk out with the shoes I tried on. I waited awhile then screw it. I just left and didn't buy anything and won't waste my time at that store again.

Thanks for patiently helping today Nick. Even though golf wasn't his main expertise, appreciated his efforts (trying different clubs/shafts) to help shape my decision. It helped narrow it a lot! Hope to revisit soon, to custom fit.

Went on a Sunday and there were many customers in the shoe section but only a couple people working and they were in the back 98% of the time. No one came out to ask if we needed help so we left...

Went in 20 minutes before closing tonight. Waited in line for 20 minutes to do a return as a cashier was trying her best to help a customer without enough cash in her drawer, that wasn’t the issue. The issue was the other 3 young employees that stood by and watched the line build and build and never stepped in to help. One even came up to give approval for a discount and then walked away. And other came to get some go backs and again walked away. It wasn’t until 5 till close 2 girls approached the registers, one to help and another to stand by and watch as she rudely radioed asking how many people were still in the store, side eyeing the entire line as if we haven’t been waiting for 20 minutes and if she just jumped on a register she’d be out of there on time. As a retail manager myself it was infuriating to watch. Clearly you have a young team with little motivation, no sense of urgency and disregard for customer experience. Such a disappointing experience, luckily I’m from out of town, but if I was local I wouldn’t be back.

Horrible service. Came here to get baseball stuff for our kids and we had zero help. Ended up waiting for service for shoes for a long time. Cashier didn't even greet us or asked if we found everything ok. Really disappointing considering how big the store is and how many employees were working but no one available to assist.

This store is understaffed & the staff they do have don't like helping customers out. They told 1 customer to go ask someone else for help. Then they tried charging me a different and much higher than advertised price for a pair of shoes.

I would like to mention how helpful Michael Jordan, an employee at Dick's Sporting Goods in Mission Viejo Mall was recently. During my visit, Michael went above and beyond to assist me and my daughter in finding the items we needed for her volleyball activities. His exceptional help made our shopping experience a breeze.Not only did Michael provide knowledgeable guidance in locating the right products, but he also went the extra mile by helping us find online discounts for some of the items. I was truly impressed with his dedication and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.Based on my positive experience with Michael, I highly recommend visiting Dick's Sporting Goods. I am grateful for his assistance and his contributions in making our shopping trip a successful and enjoyable one.

Horrible service and way understaffedI recommend shopping online or going elsewhere. When you go to a store for personal experience, you expect people there to be able to help you only one employee was good he was way over worked .

A little disappointed with the customer service today. Went to buy my son some indoor soccer shoes and there was no one there to help, finally came out to see if we needed something. He brought out the shoes and kept going inside for a long time while I waited. Other employees kept passing by and no one asked if I needed help. Maybe this employee had work to do inside but if there is a customer there wanting to buy shoes, the customer should be helped first. I ended up buying turf soccer shoes inside of indoor. The employee did not let me know these were not indoor soccer shoes. Anyway, customer service could have been way better.

Staff:Worked with Mike and asked questions about softball bats. He was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. No pressure at all, just sharing his knowledge, and answering my questions. At checkout worked with Kiana who was also great. Overall, really happy with the customer service here. Quality:This place is way cool! 2 stories of an amazing amount of inventory. Hands down the best available options I've seen. Value:Seems fair. Likely more than Amazon. Yet I'd much rather support my local brick and mortar.Overall:Super impressed with this store so I'll be back for sure. Great job to Mike and Kiana!

Shoes section is the worst, the guys in that area don’t want to work. I got ZERO assistance. Purchase date 02/20/2023 around 1PM I’m going to return the items…..if I could I would give It a ZERO star.

One try on room light was broken and the other was full of discarded items. Employees were not busy standing around talking. Went to counter employee was picking fingernails. I purchased 2 items and after the transaction was told they only have small bags so my items were stuffed in a very small bags. Went upstairs and asked for a bigger bag and was told they are all out waiting for shipment. Seriously that is completely ridiculous a store of that size doesn’t have larger bags. Go to a another store and buy some bags!! What are they doing if s customer buys a larger item? Poor experience
