I purchased meat from them, expecting it to be fresh, but it had a strong and unpleasant smell. It took me two days to eliminate the odor from my house. The quality seems different from fresh meat; it resembles the meat we typically get from Costco or Restaurant Depot. Even the plastic cover they used is the same one used in the one we buy from Costco. I won't make a purchase from them again; I spent $100 on meat that I had to discard since it was inedible. By the way, the same type of meat is only $30 at Costco, with the same part, size, and weight.

We enjoy going on the weekend to take advantage of the outdoor grill kebabs they offer. Alway good and enjoy the freshness. I just wish the sitting area was better.

Good for groceries (including middle eastern food) and especially certain produce.Sometimes I can't find items, and the quality of produce isn't good on occasion.

This place is very unsanitary. I went to the bakery, someone ahead of me was being served. The employee used her very sticky hand to get different pieces of pastries without gloves or using tongs or a spatula and put them in a container for him. He left without taking the container. It was my turn now, she never cleaned her hands, she never wore gloves, she used a dirty towel on the counter to wipe the stickiness from her hand and started taking the pastries I wanted with her dirty hand and putting them in a container. I too left without taking the pastries. As I am posting this, I see that someone left a 1-star review a couple of days ago, Nazanin T, said the pastry she bought from this place had a hair in it. She posted a picture of the pastry and the hair. After seeing them in action, I can understand why there was hair in her pastry. From there I moved to the deli section to get some cold-cut meat. I saw two people behind the counter and assumed they were both employees. It turned out the guy was an employee and the lady was his girlfriend who was allowed back there touching every single meat and cheese and helping herself. I asked a question and he told me to wait a minute. He spent 15 minutes with her as she was helping herself to the slicer, the cutter, and the packaging papers without any gloves. She and he then filled up her shopping cart that she had taken behind the counter and filled it with meat and cheese and she left. After waiting 15 minutes I left because I did not want to buy anything from this deli anymore. I went to the produce department which is 2 feet away from the deli section. After he finished with his girlfriend, he never asked if he could help me. He could see me as I could see him. He had no one to serve as everybody got disgusted and left but he never offered help. I will not go back to this place. Very disappointing and unsanitary.

The best place for all types of European food and delicacies. The staff are all so very helpful and everyone seems to speak 27 languages. I got sauerkraut imported from Poland there. They make fresh Sangak Bread daily. The produce is so fresh and well priced. Love this place!?

Bought some pastries at the Crown Valley Market bakery and found hair in one. Not cool at all. Won’t be going back. They seriously need to step up their cleanliness game.

I really had more expectations for this store. I don't live in MV but Super Irvine closed & I believe they are now relocated here. Super Irvine was a mostly persian grocery store. It was nicely laid out but my goodness the parking lot was a NIGHTMARE ! The spots were small & it was always difficult to find a spot. Well Crown Valley Market isn't that much different. This fairly large sized store also has a teeny parking lot. I ventured here on a Friday afternoon & really only 2 spots were available ! I couldn't imagine coming here on a weekend when it would be much busier. The aisles are small & the selection wasn't that great. I guess I was expecting more Persian items that are harder to find. It's also annoying when there's multiple people in the aisle since they are small & it's just not a fun shopping experience. I did see a sign for a Persian restaurant which I didn't check out. The produce section was the busiest & it seemed very crammed back there. I have seen larger produce sections at different stores. I was not impressed. The meat section was surprisingly quiet, & not chaotic. However the space is very crammed back there so I would hate to be there when it's busy. All the meats are halal I believe. I would not come back here. I could only see myself being a regular shopper if I lived in the area. But really it's not worth the trip.

It turns me off to buy food from a place that's right across from a mortuary!!! The mortuary always gives me the creeps so I drive a few miles further to go to the next closest Mediterranean Market!

It's a very mediocre store, but customer service at the deli and bakery is very middle eastern style, meaning if one of their regular customers comes in while they are serving you, they will tell you to wait and start attending the other person. Great place if you have tons of time to waste and feel like second class citizen for produce that will go bad in two days.

Over price, I buy a gallon of milk from Vons for $6.45, they sell it for over $9, everything is way over price, most people are immigrants, and on budget, elderly, hard working people,I don't mind for them to make a profit, they deserve a paycheck, but don't rob people.

Excellent market. Great meats, produce and middle eastern cuisine. The freshly made naan sangak flat bread is crazy amazing. They have the oven and make it in front of you. They have a restaurant upstairs that is A plus!

This super market has the lowest quality grocery amongst all grocery stores in south Orange County. The packaged food they sell is often past the expiration date or the ones they pack in store are already gone bad when sold. And I suspect they are prepared from unsold groceries. Most people don't have the time to drive back to the store to return a $5 or $6 item so they just throw it away. That has happened to me countless times from meet to fruit to vegetables and food purchased at the vegetable, fruit and deli. Only once I took back a packaged food the day after I had purchased it only because it smelled rattan and only because I was nearby. The young and inexperienced store manager asked me for receipt which I had not kept because I didn't anticipate taking anything back( like we do at wall mart). Although their own store deli sticker was still on the package. Like I was lying to him to cheat the store for a $5.95 item. !! Any chain grocery store would gladly take anything back or replace any item you are not happy with. These guys think they have cornered the market because they are the only international super market in south OC so they really don't care about losing a regular customer. Customer service has no meaning to these people. Wholsomechoice takes back retuned items , no questions asked and they have by far better quality groceries than this place. And god forbid if you need to use the restroom while you are shopping in this place. You need to go out of the store, go around the building, go up the stairs to Bahar restaurant, walk through the restaurant to get to the restrooms and if your lucky there is an available stahl for you to use because staff tend to take their breaks in the same restroom stahls so customers need to wait.

These so called discount grocery stores are hit and miss depends on days you visit. The second or third tier produce, specially vegetables and fruits needs to be consumed the same or a day later, otherwise it's going to spoil.Items that are on par with standard grocery stores are usually the same price.Overall, it deserve praise for providing this discount to low income families in the area.?
