Nilgiris Cash & Carry is where a grocery/liquor store was. 5 years young biz crammed with merch., narrow aisles, long shelves. 1/2 of items didn't have pricing. Marked items reasonably priced. Small parking lot. Didn't stay long. Not claustrophobic. Difficult to social distance in small space. Typical Indian groceries, produce, didn't see/wasn't looking for meats. Single cashier in front. Buys: Quick Tea: Masala Chai (72/4.99) -"pure assam tea, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, natural flavors." Slight flavor brewed. -coconut creamer no improvement. Retry another milk LAxmi Vindaloo Curry (4.99) -Canadian company making Indian foodstuffs -poured most of bottle, flava mildly spicy. 3.5 stars prices reasonable. Foods average. Store too small for comfort.

Used to come here occasionally for pani puri. Picked up a large Vadilal icecream pack today. Came home to find that it was half eaten icecream with a layer of ice covering it. Went back to return it a d was told they don't accept returns, I can exchange if needed!! Some other store would have apologized for selling stale and half eaten food item but there was no shame here as if this was routine incident in this store. I did get back my money after a few arguments, but I don't trust the quality of groceries sold here. Will not be going there again.

We went for pani puri for that far. It was not that great experience. Their puri was not crisp. Definitely was open couple days before look like. Pani was ok ok not great. I tried chart puri also. They put too much sugar in side the chat. They have good collection of Indian grocery. All the rack was full with stuff. They have fresh Indian pickles. Those are good. You should try those . Store was slow when I went. Prices are great.

We had pani puri with 4 different panics. Each one was unique and lovely taste.For the groceries, the store is very well organized and you get to see unique items.

I am a huge pani puri lover and i have tried pani puri at so many different places and have always been disappointed but this pani puri is by far the best tasting one since i have been in usa. The pani was so fresh and everything was so hygienic.You wont be disappointed. I repeat again best tasting pani puri

The pani poori stall on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays is the best Pani Puri you can find in the bay area. It's so flavorful with 4 different types of flavor... spicy one is a must try
