“You have to go to buy some snacks here, 1.99 for a bag of chips and less than 1.99 for a popsicle. Alright service, good price for regular things, they never restock. I live near and it's perfect.”

“Everything is very good in the store and everyone is friendly, there is just something that is not right, whenever I pay with EBT they check the receipt I think it is to see the amount I have because when I pay with the normal card they only throw the receipt in the bag and I've already noticed that other people do it too and it's not right.”

“Excellent service, quality meats and cooking - this place is my jam! It's some delightful barbecuing of chicken, lamb, veggies, and steak. I like the lamb and chicken skewers and they are reasonably priced. Servings are well-proportioned as 3 chicken skewers and 2 veggie ones lasted for about 10 days for me so budget friendly. It's a clean and orderly establishment, with a plethora of spices, cookies, teas, oil, etc. It has a front parking lot to make it convenient for you to load hot trays back home to enjoy with friends and family. Chocolate baklava is to die for!

Dietary restrictions: Halal food, it’s delish!

Kid-friendliness: Clean and orderly with courteous staff.”

“I recently visited Fresh Meats Factory and was genuinely impressed. They offer a great variety of meats, from premium Goat to succulent poultry, plenty of Fish and even some specialty cuts. The quality really stood out to me – the meat is fresh, nicely marbled, and clearly well-sourced. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking for good quality meat.”

“Pretty good market. A lot of food from all over Latin America including blood sausage. Staff is friendly and everything is pretty straight forward. They have a few items you really can't find at most markets so it's worth. Prices is fair and parking is decent overall.”

“Small store but great prices, I came for Piloncillo and walked around the whole store multiple times before I realized it was up front. Looks like they also had a nice deli section!”

“Always best place to grab groceries when in a hurry. Slightly disappointed when I asked a question regarding the usage of my EBT card and what I received where mug faces from both cashier's. But still it's a great store.”

“I always purchased from Genes Mkt. One day I asked the butcher where they got them from...the rest is history. When you see and enter the shop it's like out of a scene from The Soprano's. They have the glass cases, the refrigerator storeroom in the back, and the processing area to the left. Very minimal, old school. The best. I always place my order ahead of time and they have it ready. Hot or mild, in the casing or bulk. Family run and owned. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You will be kicking yourself in the butt for not knowing about them sooner. Oh, by the way, the sausages are delicious !!”

“Small local grocery store with groceries from India and Middle East. I would recommend it specifically for those items. I like their spices. I would not recommend their fruits/vegetables. They are not bad, but price/quality ratio is better at Safeway or a similar, larger supermarket.”

“The ambiance is simple. The food is great and there is a variety of selection of meats. Also, friendly & simple service. Food was good, although i didn't get too eat inside because i was waiting, the food was still good. Will be going back soon & if i have further notes i shall add onto this. Good too know there is a shop like this near the area i am at.”

“They opened again after a year of hiatus. Convenient place to get fresh and high quality chicken/duck in bay area. The staff was super friendly and willing to get me small stuff (onion/lemon) that is not for sale there. Highly recommend!”

“I was really impressed with the excellent quality of meat and the staff’s service! 90 people ate their meat, and everyone was thrilled. In particular, the bulgogi seasoning fascinated everyone, and their radish soup was enough to warm up the cold weather. It is true that their products are more expensive than other places. However, the quality and taste of the meat are enough reasons to pay the price and purchase it. Thank you very much!! Happy New Year for Angus Meat Staff!!!!!!”

“I'm happy to write a review for Halal Meats, a Butchery that also has a cooked food section on the side.Firstly, the quality of the meats at Halal Meats is exceptional. The butchery offers a wide range of halal meats, including beef, lamb, chicken, and goat, all of which are of the highest quality. The meat is always fresh and well-packaged, making it easy to transport and store at home. The butchers are friendly and knowledgeable, and they are always happy to help customers choose the right cut of meat for their needs. In addition to the butchery, Halal Meats also has a cooked food section, which is a great option for those who want to grab a quick and tasty meal. The food is freshly prepared, and the menu offers a variety of options, including kebabs, burgers, and curries. The prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous, making it a great value for money. The staff at Halal Meats are always welcoming and friendly. They take pride in their work and are always happy to answer any questions customers may have. The store is always clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what you're looking for.”

“The goat biryani is excellent. I drive all the way from Los Altos to pick it up. Have earned lots of brownie points for giving it to friends who don't want to drive 50 miles round-trip to pick it up.”

“This place is not as bad as other "Yelpers" are making it to be, however this place can use a slight face-lift. It's not necessarily a place to do your full blown shopping. Items that are "popular" to the so called American customers and not so much to the Brown Indigenous (Native American/Mexican,etc) yes those items will obviously be outdated. I mainly go there for the queso fresco Mexicano and purple corn tortilla and at times I get other items that are likely to be in high demand GET IT. For example I won't go to an "Asian" market to look for tortilla or Tapatio hot sauce WHY because I know at that particular store it's not in HIGH DEMAND!!!!”

“I'm local and shop here fairly often. I'm also a gringo but love coming here to practice my Spanish and peruse all the unique things in this really nice Hispanic market. Here are the best points for me: 1.) The produce and meat are good quality and the prices are great. 2.) They have killer salsas and guacamole fresh made along with cheeses and cremas. 3.) The marinated meats are really good and great to take home and bbq. 4.) The lunch bar provided me with probably one of the best chicken burritos I have had in the South Bay for only $10. Restaurant downtown didnt even come close and charged me $18 for a burrito. 5.) The employees are nice and speak Spanish to me and its really fun. 6.) The place is very clean and neatly organized so whoever manages this place does a fantastic job. 7.) I can get a weeks worth of great food for half what I would pay at Whole Foods. 8.) I love hot sauces and they have a vast selection here and fresh made salsas as well. 9.) Local Hispanics stare at me with interest in the store and many greet me with a smile and say hi... they are really happy to see me in their community. Some have even struck up a conversation with me so I can practice more Spanish! Lots of fun. If you want to pay $17 a pound for dolphin safe, organic, free range, cruelty free chicken go to Whole Foods. If you just want regular chicken, which you will notice zero difference, go to Arteagas! All around a Gem in Willow Glen and Highly Recommended.”
