Be aware that they close early on Sunday. Not the advertised 6:30pm.
We arrived at 6:05pm on Sunday and the door was locked. A lady came to open the door and told us they close early on Sunday. Yet the sign on the glass wall still says they close at 6:30pm on Sunday. This was not a huge inconvenience for us because we were also having dinner nearby but still an annoyance.

You may not know it yet, but you NEED Bella in your life. I moved to the east coast since my first appointment with her but I have to always come back to see her. Bella truly works magic with hair. Her expertise and recommendations are spot on, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Not only did she give me the perfect color correction, but she also took the time to educate me on proper hair care and maintenance. It's clear that she is not only skilled, but also passionate about her craft. The compliments I've been receiving on my hair since seeing Bella are endless. It gives me such a confidence boost knowing that my hair looks amazing. I can't thank Bella enough for her talent and dedication to making me look and feel my best.

Thanks to Laura and her team at H-K hair & beauty for doing a "spectacular job" on my hair. I scheduled an appointment on May 13th for the Liscio Japanese hair straightener. I had tried to get this done back in October, 2023. Laura did a consultation and shared with me that my hair was too damaged from the last hair straightener I had previously had at a different salon. I greatly appreciate how honest she was with me. She told me to be patient and let my hair restore itself. She wanted me wait six months or longer and then she would let me know if it was healthy enough. In the mean time, I returned for a nice haircut by another stylist (Named Mae). Mae also gave me a nice trim to cut the dead ends off. All the hairstylist working there are super professional and very friendly. They treated me very kindly. I am extremely impressed with my hair looking so healthy and straight. This is my "GO TO SALON" for haircuts, hair coloring and hair straightening". All I have to do is wash and condition my hair twice a week. I haven't bothered blow drying or using a hot iron on my hair. I let it dry naturally. I purchased hair shampoo/conditioner/hair oil from the salon to keep my hair healthy and shiny. If you're thinking about getting the Liscio Japanese hair straightener done, Laura and her team are the experts to go to for professional services. I have been to several salons in the East Bay and none of them have done as good of a job as Laura and her team. Keep up the GREAT work, Ladies!! I will see you again soon for my next hair coloring next month.

All I have to say is, Bella where have u been Loca! Haha, but seriously Bella did wonders with my hair. Ive had some serious ptsd from my prior hair color experiences, but Bella totally restored my trust in getting my hair dyed again. The pictures speak for itself. Couldn't recommend her more! And she's funny too, you'll have a great time overall

Amazingggg!!!! Coming from someone who always used to go to DryBar but felt unsatisfied because they would always shampoo me for like a short minute, leaving my hair feeling dirty still. Anne shampooed me for like 5 min. 2 times and is so nice and diligent. I always get shampoo and blowdry/loose curls and this is by far the quickest and best service! Great salon and dont overcharge you like other salons. Will be back! $45 for shampoo and loose curls

Bella doesn't cut hair. She'll pawn you off to the ladies. If you don't speak Vietnamese, you'll have a bad time. If you're not exact in specifics you'll have a bad time. I didn't want layers, but somehow ended up bullied into it. Ended up with extremely long layers for a center part (I don't center part) The balayage was ok but not worth. I am still dealing with the extreme layers that make my hair frizz all the time. Not knowing the type of hair that I have and chopping off my hair into stairs because "it looks better that way" left me dealing with this cut even a year later. The front is a whole foot shorter than the back. I'd have to lop it off at the shoulder to even it out.

Came here on a Sunday morning after calling to see if they had time for a haircut. Luckily they did even though it says appointment only. I did not want a wash I only requested for a trim like about 2-3 inches off. The haircut was great. I had a lot of dead ends. I didn't get the stylist name but she was really nice reassuring me she would still leave my hair looking long. For a haircut only it was $55.00 no wash no nothing per my request. I'd return again the salon was clean and all the ladies greeted me with all smiles.

I used to be a big of fan of this place and would drive an hour one way to get my hair straightened every year by Laura's hair team. I would also get my hair cut by Van every 6 weeks. However, I got my hair straightened on December 21, 2023 and they were so busy that even the owner, Laura, did parts of my straightening herself. Mind you the whole process takes 5 hours or more depending on the length of your hair. Well, two weeks after I got it done. I noticed that my hair was not straight anymore (it was back to being wavy and frizzy. I contacted the salon multiple times and I was told that Laura would call me back. Laura finally called me 3 days later and apologized because they were busy. I let it go because I know that they can get busy plus I was just happy she finally called me back. Laura told me wash my hair and let it air dry (no dryer or flat iron). Then send her pictures when it's dry. I did exactly what she asked me to do. I texted the pictures of my hair to her personal number on January 17, 2024. I have not heard back from her. I'm really disappointed of the lack of care for a loyal customer. I definitely won't be going back and I will stop sending friends and coworkers to her salon. Time to look for a new hair salon.

I highly recommend this salon! Been going here for two years every 2 to 2.5 weeks. I'm a regular customer who likes to get hair trims pretty frequently. I go to Van and she is the best! Very attentive and detail oriented. She really takes her time and I leave very satisfied and happy with my hair :) All the other girls are also fantastic. I highly recommend this salon!

I went today to get a haircut and usually they charge around $50-$55 that includes hair wash, cut, and style, I'm a regular there and I'm aware of how much my haircuts cost, I asked for a trim for 1 inch. The guy that cut my hair was super lazy, he sprayed my hair enough to make it a little damp although my hair was visibly dry and began cutting. He then continued to blow dry my hair while it is fully dry. I thought he would wash my hair and style after the cut but no. He charged me $50 to which out of courtesy I paid $5 tip. I was in a rush and had no time to ask him to wash and style it for me then and there but may hair was frizzy and even more dried up than what i came in with initially. I called the store later and spoke to the guy and politely asked for either partial refund since I paid for the full service and only received some part of it or i asked if i could come back in some time soon and get it washed and styled. He got very defensive and completely denied a refund and said i could come back and get my $5. I further explained my issue and even told him that i gave him $5 tip and him returning that to me means that im still fully paying for the service. He was incredibly rude and told me either i can come back and get my $5 or not and if i have any other concerns then to contact the owner and hung up the phone right away. Very very rude mannerism and a crappy service, totally ripped me off. Would not recommend the guy for women's haircut, it's a waste of time and money.

I love it! I scheduled an appointment with Laura for the Japanese straight perm, and the result far surpassed my expectations. I'm mixed, so I have a combination of 3c and 4b curly hair texture. Laura informed me before working on my hair that I may have some texture left because of my hair type, but it turned out SO silky smooth and straight. The process took about 4 hours, and I had 3 stylists working on my hair. I was a little nervous at first regarding some negative Yelp reviews, but it turned out their customer service was awesome. I'll definitely be back for my touch-up!

I had a brown balayage done by Bella, and I couldn't be happier with the results! She took the time to understand my vision and worked her magic - taking my hair from blue and black dye to the perfect shade of brown. Bella's attention to detail really stood out, and I really appreciate the time and effort she invested to get the perfect color for my hair.

Came in last minute for Tiffany to cut my hair and she did a fantastic job! Very sweet, and will definitely come back for her!
