Steve's gym is the best! My partner and I have been members of the gym for more than a year now and love getting in our morning workout here. Great coaching to get started with strength training. Besides the gym also has an amazing community!

Came here for a couple of weeks during my stay in San Jose. The owner Steve is super nice, interactive with his members, and keeps his gym tidy. I dropped in here a couple of times for weightlifting, nice platforms and equipment. Thanks Steve !

I have been training with Steve for about 9 months now and I don't regret a single minute of it. I had never lifted weights before but during the 4 on-ramp sessions, Steve made me confident with all the basic moves. Steve explained every move so that I know what I’m doing and why I’m doing it — which was super helpful. His obsession with form kept me injury-free. Even during the daily sessions, he always keeps an eye on the correct execution of the movements and helps us to correct them until they are perfect. His nutritional guidance helped me get through some bad eating habits and mental blocks with food.His workout plans are challenging yet exciting and fun which helped me push myself further than I ever imagined. He is readily available through e-mail and phone for quick questions or motivational boost. The gym is easily accessible and kept very clean. All the members are extremely courteous and supportive of each other.Thank you Steve for all your precious advice, your explanations, your patience and your commitment! You’re the best!

Workout with Steve is the best decision I've ever made. Within the first 6 month I lost 55 lbs, and it also cured my pre diabetes. More importantly it also changed my mindset, and gives me the courage to face challenges in work and life.

Steve is a great coach, before starting training with him I have pre diabetes, after 5 month I lost 60 pounds and my blood sugar is normal now. Amazing experience!

I started working out with Steve around 2 months back. I needed to finish 4 on ramp sessions before joining the group class. That's super helpful for someone like me who hadn't worked with barbells before. I feel stronger already and seeing lot of improvements in my stamina and form. Steve is an amazing coach. He knows when to push you. His jokes are the best :D Bonus, you get to play with Hazel & Hugo, two cutest pups.

Steve is a great trainer! Before I started training with Steve, I used to have back issues because of my desk job. I used to think it can only get worse. But since I have started training under Steve's guidance, I haven't had any back pain. My back is so much stronger and I can trust it to hold up. I feel more stronger every day I train with him. We hit a new personal record for squats, deadlifts and shoulder presses at regular intervals building up to it over a month or two. Highly recommend Steve's training.

I started training at Anchored Strength ~10 months ago. I train in 1:1 sessions as I know I've lot to work on :-D Steve is the best coach I've trained with. He knows what he's talking about. better yet, he walks the talk. :-) And jokes, boy he's funny! #Bad water (Hydra bad) my overall strength has gone up, form improved. I'd recommend Steve to any person who's looking to build strength and endurance. Thank you Steve! let's keep up the good work!

This gym has a good amount of space allocated to platforms for weightlifting enthusiasts, and it also has a floor space equipped with squat racks for its general strength and conditioning classes. Definitely a great option for people looking for a place to train in the Milpitas area.

Steve trained me and my husband back to 3 years ago, he trained my sister 2 years ago. I recently came back to ASC and felt that I should have come back as early as it was reopened two months ago. Steve is great and absolutely the best strength coach. We were in group program but he pays as much attention as you were in a one on one training.

I came to this gym because it was close to work and home. Little did I know what a great community of people I would meet here! Steve has a great way of creating a chill environment and at the same time kick you into high gear to realize your own potential. Humor + discipline. I like this combination, it works for me. I also like the doggies! After a sweaty kick a** workout, I get to say hi to my fav puppies. Aaaaaah so cute Hazel and Hugo. :) What has happened since I've started working out here? Well, I wanted to improve my weightlifting skills. I had some pretty bad habits I had formed over the years and I needed some stern coaching in order to improve. Steve has helped me greatly with my technique. I no longer press out my jerks and I don't blow out my back on cleans anymore. And my snatch has come a looooong way, but alas this is my Achilles heel. Steve has not given up on me. Every time I dork my movement, he reminds me very clearly what I am doing wrong and how to correct it. Keep yelling at me Steve! It's working!! He has also brought in outside coaches to help create programs and coach the team. This is a great way to round out a great team! Would I recommend Anchored to anyone? Yes of course. Whether you want general fitness classes or weight lifting or powerlifting or all of it...it's all here. :)
