The location is perfect for anyone who wants to explore the area around Marin, Tiburon, or Sausalito. The owners are super friendly.

Clean room, quick service at the desk, and great location for checking out the area while on a budget.

Not great.Check in service was friendly and prompt. That's the upside. The rest was rough we ended up paying $140 total for a room that was essentially bare with stale french fries on the floor, no pictures, and a "hiding out/on the run" vibe.We had people in the room next to us who were loud all night and blasting music with no response from management. We didn't sleep much, left as soon as we could next morning.Researching the area for hotels, I was looking for affordability since we were only staying a night but I would recommend spending a little more for a more comfortable stay somewhere else.

Great location with nice size rooms!!! Very close to Mt Tamalpais, Muir Woods, and beach access to both Muir Beach and Stinson. Hotel has great dining and shopping options right down the road. Stayed 3 different times since last summer and plan to return. Access is perfect for sight seeing and outdoor fun.

El Dumpo is overpriced at $130. It took me forever to find it off the freeway. Built in the old days now it's run like the fortress it should be. Shay guys, no ice, nothing but a good bed and TV. I was lucky I made a mistake and booked one night. I went to Mill Valley to go to Muir Woods, close enough. I spent the day there and it was great. My mistake.Safety: None I could see. lots of walkers from the hood.Walkability: Next to the freeway and a busy side street.Food & drinks: Nolo, ice, no bueno, I drove to 7-11 down the street a couple of times and almost had an accident on this frontage road named for the Redwood Highway. It was before that noisy freeway was built. Overpriced for gringos and all others. Si!

This is a simple motel that is conveniently located just North of SF and Sausalito. It's very well maintained inside and out. I would much rather stay here than those higher priced places I've been paying for on my vacation. I saved at least $100 here. The room is quaint and very clean. I also prefer supporting a local business owner rather than a price gouging corporate hotel chain. I would do this every night of my trip if I could. The pride in ownership is apparent. I read the Danny T one star review and I figure him a problem customer. I wouldn't want him at my business.

Cheap and simple hotel definitely served its purpose. No doubt about that, but the young kid at the front desk was rude and unwelcoming during check in on July 20, 2019. I realize this motel isn't a 5 star venue but there are basic standards of courtesy and respect employees need to demonstrate during any customer service experience.

Clean and quiet and safe once you make sure all the windows are locked. The guy that runs it was really nice.

This motel was perfect. It's exactly what you expect in an old motel, but everything worked. The water was fine, plenty of towels, the heater worked. The folks managing the place are all business, but very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this Motel to anyone looking to stay somewhere in the area.

Just stayed at this motel. Paid $154/nt before taxes. It is extremely overpriced for what it is, value is probably $75/nt. Could use a deep clean and renovation. No air conditioning, no ice machine, stained towels, stained/dirty shower curtain. Splashes and discoloration on walls and dark mold prevalent in the fanless bathroom. The carpets left my feet dirty. Very limited parking, very thin walls. However, convenient location, clean sheets, oddly great shower head and water temp/pressure. The young man working the desk was also friendly. It met our minimum needs for a place to crash, but if you have other options in the price range, perhaps consider your options.

I haven't stayed here since before Covid. Before Covid I was satisfied and everything worked and was clean. My last visit a few days ago. (Thursday) was horrible for many reasons .Would not recommend or stay here again. There was no air conditionin in early morning put heat on . And was not working too. Dirty net end table. No lamp near bed .had to request. When I went to front desk. The husband rude and. Was not going to make better. Wasn't completely full.. terrible..and disappointed.Find another place to stay. Sad...place
