Great job serving Tam Valley on waste. They even host a community garage sale. TIP: You can drop off used batteries, ewaste, etc. They also have community clean out days for shredding, large items, yard waste, etc.

Above and beyond and community oriented! Sure I get angry that a garbage truck is blocking my road at 8:15 am!! What the hell happened to the good old days of 5 am garbage collection. I'm often late for school drop off because of a leisurely garbage truck driver who doesn't care he's blocking the entire road, but I forgive him because tcsd supports the community. Creekside Friday, spaghetti bingo, breakfast with santa, the haunted house! And Tia!! An icon at Tam Valley School!!

Very friendly drivers who always make room in the morning on our narrow street so we can get around their truck as we head to work or take kids to school. However: * pick time varies from 5:45 a.m to 9:00 a.m. * on two occasions in the last year they did not take our yard waste (in appropriate bin). We called to have it picked up, but after promising to do so, it was not.

TCSD organizes "Creekside Fridays" at the Tennesssee Valley "Cabin" (60 Tennessee Valley Road) through the summer. Each week features different local musicians and a different genre of music (jazz to rock). It's a very casual scene, with a small stage and people mostly milling about and eating & drinking. Music was great classic rock the night I went. There's a BBQ menu that changes every week and beverages (beer, wine, soda, water) for sale. Or you can bring a picnic of your own. There are tables & chairs to sit at. Family friendly: In keeping with Mill Valley style, there are swarms of small children running around, but there is also a big inflatable jumping gym to keep them corralled, too. Dog friendly, too.
