All I can say is WOW! Our cat has a lot of anxiety and won't even let us clip her nails without a fight. I couldn't believe how gentle and caring the owner was when grooming/giving a hair trim to our kitty. She is truly the cat whisperer! Our kitty let her give her a bath, nail trim, and lion cut without any issues. She made her feel so safe and calm the entire time. We will definitely be back!

Wow is this the most incredible place for cats ever! I have been having an impossible time trying to cut my cats' nails. I can do maybe 2 nails every day or so. It's such a fight. Out of desperation I decided to try Fur Cat's Sake and what an experience. Irene, the owner, is so warm and friendly. The Spa is immaculate. She plopped Finn up on this comfy warm pillow and he melted right into it. She cut his nails with absolutely no issue at all and he even started purring. She even cleaned his ears! I wonder why I have been struggling for so many years when this cat whisperer is so close by. I will never ever go anywhere else!

The most professional, concerned, caring people I have met in a long time that truly love their job and it shows. Irene is phenomenal at what she does and Laura too is amazing. Beyond excellent service. The grooming is very carefully and expertly performed on your cat in a super clean and relaxed atmosphere ( they will also let you watch and help if you like for anxious kittys, which made me so happy). I am so excited and relieved to find FCS to help me with my animals. The service prices are very reasonable too and they have a store that is filled with all your cat needs!

One of the best experiences for my cat. I moved from Washington state to California and wanted to find a cat groomer that really cares and knows the business. Irene really cares and makes my sassy cat a calm queen. Irene is one of the best, most passionate people in this business who deeply and fundamentally cares for creating a safe, secure, and calming environment for our favorite feline companions. I don't go anywhere else for my cat's grooming because no business can compete with the compassion and care that this business has to make my cat feel at home and welcome while also making my cat look amazing.

I rescued a 14-year-old, very long-haired cat, who had been dumped. He was extremely dirty and matted all over. I live in San Francisco, but I could not find a cat groomer anywhere in City who was up to the task of sorting him. SF is a dog town. I finally came across FUR CAT'S SAKE in Mill Valley. Harry (my cat) has PTSD from being dumped and then put in the shelter. And Harry is a biter. So, our vet gave us medication for our grooming visit. Still, even with the meds, Harry is a handful. At Fur Cat's Sake we met with the owner, Irene. What a lovely woman, and such a cat lover, I've never seen. Her office was like a cat spa; gentle music, beautiful calming décor. It had everything Harry needed to feel safe. Irene worked on him for two and half hours! Fur was literally flying. When she finished, Harry was not only free of matts (an extraordinary accomplishment), but he actually changed colors!!! That's how dirty he was. She worked with him on her lap; she was hyper-diligent. My daughter and I were with them the entire time, and we were, frankly, awestruck by the care she gave him. Now we are home and Harry is a different person - lighter and happier. He had absolutely no trauma from all the work she did on him. I believe it is because she groomed him with love. San Francisco cat owners, please know this - Irene's grooming is worth a trip to Mill Valley. Oh yes, the cost was reasonable; I couldn't believe we were so fortunate to find Fur Cat's Sake.

Irene was so patient with our fur baby. He was so scared at the last groomer I had to just take him home. Irene was able to coax him out and although he was still not happy about it, he somewhat behaved. She let us sit in the room with him and was very gentle, talking with us about his personality and walking us through each thing she was doing. The best cat groomer by far we've ever been to.

This place and the ladies that work here are amazing! My Siberian fur baby Louis was so badly matted and I was desperately trying to find someone to help with his matts and his grooming long term. I searched and searched and finally found Fur Cats Sake and when I explained Louis was in desperate need she squeezed me in as soon as she could, which meant so much! When we got there I was so nervous for Louis but immediately felt better. The parking was easy, we were greeted so promptly and warmly. The grooming room itself looks like a spa. They did so well with his Lion cut. He's such a happier cat you can tell. Cats need grooming and the improved quality of life Louis will have now that I've met Irene and the team is priceless. Bonus: cute business cat named Storm who is the sweetest boy!

Irene is the best!!! I brought my super sweet elderly calico in... For the past couple of years cleaning herself has become more difficult with her long hair and all. Well, she really matted up this winter and i wasn't sure how traumatic a shave would be, so i waited til now. My cat was 75% covered in matted hair. I booked a 2 hour session with Irene, who is so kind and precious. She gently removed the matting. Explained to me how i can do it myself. My cat is so happy! I had no idea how painful it was for her to be matted. She is like a new kitten.Irene is located across from the cat clinic and if you have a cat... This is where you take them to be groomed!! Thank you Irene!! :-)

I couldn't imagine a better place to take my three persians for their regular brushing, cleaning, and coat maintenance. Irene is incredibly attuned to the cats she has in her care, and treats them as individuals. It's evident that she loves what she does and takes great care to make the owners and cats feel at ease. I 100% recommend Fur Cats Sake to anyone with a kitty that needs coat upkeep.

I had meant to post this the very day we visited Fur Cat's Sake but things happened so forgive the delay. My wife and Sylvester moved from SF to the East Bay in the spring. It was time for Sylvester to get a mani/pedi and a bath. Unfortunately, due to both COVID and the economy, it would appear groomers in the East Bay that advertise they do cats - don't anymore. So we found Fur Cat's Sake, and are so very happy we did. Suffice it to say, the staff are top notch and facilities are extraordinary. They rival those of a spa I'd patronize for myself. Thank you for taking care of Sylvester!

I consider my son an extension of myself. So I don't mind doing whatever it takes to ensure he gets nothing but the best. Fur Cat's Sake not only achieved this but has given me a peace of mind that shows me they care and treasure him as much as I do. Definitely recommend!

Dear Hoomans of Fur Cat's Sake, Recently my mom freaked me out, dragging me from the house for the first time since adoption, and making me think we were going back to "that place". Instead, we landed in your most welcoming and calming spot (outside of cozy home), and I felt strangely serene and even curious to get to know new hoomans. Getting a cat groomed is always more of an ordeal than getting a dog groomed, so I was so so thankful to find a grooming spa that specializes in cats! This place is truly a cat and cat owner's paradise, with tons of toys and treats for sale. The grooming itself was so gentle, and I was able to come back to the room to see how Irene did it and got tips from her on preventing mats using different brushes. My cat wasn't excessively matted so we didn't need to do more more than a thorough comb out, and I appreciated not being charged for unneeded services like a bath or blow dry. Irene is so knowledgeable about cats and their unique needs! From booking through the grooming, I felt like my kitty and I were in great hands every step of the way. Great customer service and easy appointment booking!
