My experience at Deluxe Auto this past Saturday afternoon was easily the worst used car lot experience I have ever had by a long shot so I am compelled to share this review. Here's what happened: I saw a car online I was interested in at Deluxe, so I contacted them about the vehicle and applied for credit to buy it. This all went fine, and the woman who assisted me with the financing was polite and responsive. I offered to put $100 down to hold the car and made plans to travel 95 miles from my home in San Diego all the way up to this dealership on Saturday, but they said no problem, they would hold the car for me and no need to put down $100. Sounded great, but I had read some of the bad reviews about this dealership, so I called them on Friday, the day before I was driving up. I asked them to guarantee that the car I wanted to buy would be ready for me to test drive and purchase if it all worked out. Deng (not sure if he is the manager) replied yes, he could guarantee the car would be there and ready for me. I called again on Saturday when I was about an hour away to confirm that I was coming one last time and asked to have the car ready for me to see and test out. When I arrived, the car I was planning to test drive and buy was parked in by a bunch of other cars so it could not be moved. The tech admitted they could not start the car, it had not been smogged yet, and was not ready for me to test drive or buy. The car was so dirty I could barely read the info sheet through the windshield. It had clearly not been moved (or washed) for months. No one apologized or attempted to explain why they had not prepared the car for me to see - it was just a given that I had taken the bait. Not even a good faith effort to lie to me and make up a reason they did not have the car ready. So I was already feeling like this dealership was shady. matching the place: unkempt, random invoices and files lying haphazardly all over the office space. Instead of showing me the car I drove up from San Diego to see, they showed me a different car. A textbook bait-and-switch move with no words of remorse. The other car they tried to sell me was comparable, a 10 year old car instead of a 12 year old car but it had 14-15K more miles on it than the 12 year old car I had driven up from San Diego to see. The tech who drove with me on the test drive was nice and the car was dirty but not caked with dirt like the car I came to see, but it drove fine. Original sticker price on the car they wanted to sell me was $1000 more than the sticker price on the inoperable car I had driven up to see. So I figured I would negotiate until the price of the 2nd car was no more than $1000 more than the one I had intended to buy. The salesperson offered me a price that was $3000 more than the price I had agreed to buy the unusable bait car for, but only brought the price down $500. So I asked if I could speak to the manager the salesperson had been emailing back and forth with during our negotiations. When I pointed out that I had driven all the way from San Diego and they did not have the car I wanted to see ready, the salesperson on 2 or 3 occasions said "this is the first time I have met you" as an excuse. This despite the fact that I had called them multiple times, texted multiple times, and the dealership had texted me back about 10 times by this point. So I did not feel like the dealership "had just met me" on Saturday. I had been in touch with them for over 2 weeks leading up to my trip to this dealership. The end was really horrible. I went to meet the manager. He did not stand up, smile, or introduce himself. I explained what had transpired so far, reiterating that I had driven up from San Diego and was upset the car I wanted to test and possibly buy was not ready. He did not budge a dime, still trying to get $2500 more for the car they tried to sell me than the bait car they used to trick me with. Finally, when it was clear he was not willing to negotiate, I called him out on lying to me about guaranteeing the car I wanted to test drive and b

Trust the other reviews posted here.Called this morning to confirm 2 cars were available. Confirmed they were available. Found it unusual that the cars had been listed online for over a year. Pictures looked good online. Made the hour drive to the dealership to be informed the “car is not ready” “motor issue” “not smogged” “will have to leave a deposit and wait a week”. Paint was chipped all over both of the car even though they were California owned vehicles.

Called first. Asked if a car i wanted was still available. They said yes, come see it. Said I would come right away. I drive 35 miles from Los Angeles to check it out and ready to purchase. When I get there, no one wants to help. They say go to the front, then the front says go to the back and no one there. I then walk around the lot checking to see if I can at least find the car to save time and check the exterior but wasn’t sure if it was the right one. Then I ask someone just sitting at a desk doing nothing if someone can help. They say we’re too busy. So I tell them after ten minutes like what the heck is going on. They act like I’m not there. Like WTH….. never even got an acknowledgement. Waste of gas, mileage and time. I should have known better by the ratings. Don’t waste your money or time here. A business like that is not reliable and trustworthy.

If you're not of Asian decent, don't go. There's a huge language barrier and confusing amongst themselves in what is for sale and what is not. In regards to vehicles, they advertise vehicles in which the engine is blown out, smog check hasn't passed or it won't start. Worse experience ever.

Overall a very positive experience with Deluxe Auto Dealer. Confusing to navigate at times because they are pretty old-school as far as purchase paperwork goes. But, everyone was courteous and honest. Most importantly, I got a fantastic car and a great deal. I purchased sight unseen from Texas and it all went well. I was provided pics and vids and everything checked out when it arrived. Would def call again. Highly recommend.

Purchasing a car here was not easy. It seems like most of the reviews for this business are not very positive, and now I can see why. We found a Honda CRV that my mom had picked out to purchase for my dad, the odo was just over 200k miles. They played this cat and mouse game, having us send documents to verify, but they wouldn't tell us what documents to send all at once so they can expedite the process. If they didn't really want to help us then give us back our deposit so we can buy a car elsewhere. So we pick up the car, it's now been 2 weeks and the check engine light came on. Thankfully they offered a one month warranty and fixed the issue for us.. fine. The car came with one key and my mom said she has to get a spare, just in case she needed it. They agreed to make her a spare key but it was going to be $200 because it's a remote key. Fine... someone comes back with the spare key and I noticed at the bottom it had a #1 on it and the one they gave to her originally had a #2 on it. I do not believe that they made the key. They had it in their possession and just didn't give it to us. They scammed a 74 year old lady out $200.We drove back and forth from LA to OC about 4 times and all those 4 times we always had to wait 30min or more because apparently everyone is on lunch at the same time.Daniel was very helpful though and he's the only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars.

RUN RUN RUN AWAY!!! i repeat RUN AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! all bait and switch!! For starters, theirs cars are ALL accident cars which is not disclosed. They are very unorganized, can’t find keys, cars you want to test drive need to be jumpstarted, and on top of all that, the customer service is horrible. If you want someone to help you look at a car you will have to scavenge for them as they wander off to smoke any chance they get, and once you find one they’re quick to dismiss you and treat you like you’re unimportant and they are all rude. This dealership needs to go under because they are scammers!! Save your money, save your time, and save the trip, go anywhere but here, i assure you, you’re doing yourself a favor!!

Do not by any means purchase a vehicle here. The dealership was selling a CNG Honda Civic car with an expired tank back in March (unbeknown to me at the time. This was going to be a car for my partner). During the entire transaction, my intuition was telling me something was wrong with this transaction. I then went ahead and called a CNG mechanic, who mentioned that the car most likely had an expired tank and to verify before purchasing. Fortunately, paperwork was delayed due to not having a recent paystub at hand. The dealership could not verify the tank’s date and as a result, we let them keep our $500 temporary down payment (pocket change compared to what they lost lol). Pretty bad business to not return our down payment…However, had we not caught that, we would have been stuck with an 8K piece of garbage that could have exploded.**** this dealership. I genuinely hope it goes out of business.

Bought a car here and then three weeks later the bank they used for a loan required more money. Little explanation and had to take time out of my work day to sign a new contract so my car wouldn't get repoed.

Avoid this place! They had a van listed online and used stock pictures. When I showed up to test drive it, the van was filthy. There was waffles and trash all on the floor, a broken windshield, check engine lights on, and it wouldn't shift and drive. Bait and switch operators.

Purchased a vehicle here on March 4th with a missing cap cover on the back bumper. Could have ordered it myself but they promised to do it for me at no cost. It is now June 13th and they are just ordering the piece now….After having to call over 10 times and drive into the location twice. Great customer service ?

They did a hard inquiry on my credit for a car I was ready to buy, then they said it “had engine problems” but they kept that listing up which felt like a bait and switch. They then sent me a link to another car on their website that I said I’d be interested in. I had a closer look and the second car had frame damage reported. They didn’t even follow up with me, I was actually gonna give them another chance but it seems like they don’t know how to run a decent business. Wish I would’ve dug deeper into the reviews. Such a waste of my time and false hope, and unnecessary credit inquiry!!!

Complete stealership. Went to look at a "clean title" lexus which ended up having a rebuilt title and was not disclosed to me until after a hard credit pull & finance papers where presented to sign.Along with a reset odometer! Stay away, complete scam of a company,

They had a Lexus for sale that I had wanted. I came to check it out and it was extremely dirty but I was still interested. The whole time they were making things difficult and rushing me. I decided to buy it, as I'm filling out paperwork they had me sign a paper that says the miles weren't correct and it had been in an accident which nobody had told me. I had asked 5+ times if it was a salvage title and they kept saying no. Luckily before I signed the last paper I looked it up and realized it was salvage. Huge scam, wouldn't recommend to anyone. Here is a picture I will attach showing how dirty the cars were. Wasted 4 hours of my life here.EDIT:They also wouldn't let me test drive the car, which I should have walked out at that point. Don't go here please.
