I have had my 10x20 unit for many years, with no real issue, until now. As an ideal tenant, I have autopay, so my payment is always on time, and I very rarely access the unit. After more than a year of not accessing the property, my brother and I drove from separate locations, each three+ hours away, to find that my gate code would not work. After calling the number posted on the gate key pad, I was asked for my unit number; I gave it, and the response was, "Are you sure?!" They couldn't help me, and told me that my phone number, address, and email were missing from my account. Well, that's nice. Paying $179/month (the second-highest price in the county, after neighbor, Empire Storage) for something that I can't access. Plus, my rent skyrocketed from $140 to $170, an 18% increase which is well over the cap of 4% in California. Come to think of it, I haven't heard anything at all from the management that took over from the previous owners. Not any contact, not any contract. I guess that's why it's a contactless system. Of course, the app was useless because the system doesn't recognize my email address. I've left SEVERAL direct messages for the property manager, who was supposed to be on site when I was there during business hours on a weekday, but was not. I've left SEVERAL messages through the management company, which could not help me (although I could make a payment, should I need to), and whose representatives told me that they would forward my message to "Spencer." That was three days ago, and I've not heard anything back yet. I'd be wary of this place, if I were you
