Took in my 2004 Toyota Camry bc/ the airbag light came on. I gave Cody a small list of things the Camry needed, some more important than others. The airbag light was my biggest concern along with the motor mounts, then if I had enough money leftover, I would’ve liked my valve cover gasket and/or spark plugs changed out. Cody told me he’d give me a call to keep me informed on prices and vehicle defects. Two days later I called for an update as I dropped it off with them, and they told me that they couldn’t fix my airbag light and motor mounts were fine (they're not, they are shot). The tech continued to tell me that all they did was a valve cover gasket replacement and spark plugs for, get this, $630!!!!!! Even with my own parts they charged me so much, I would’ve done them myself. What infuriates me the most is they did not once call me for my approval, not once. I would’ve never approved such a service for $630, I could’ve simply done it myself. Outrageous, and they didn’t even fix my biggest concerns. I am very upset

First time, my rv’s gas pump was not working. They took a look at and could not fix due to their inexperiences dealing with RV. They called me back to go get my RV vehicle without charging me for anything. And then a few months later (2 days ago) I took my RV van back to them for checking on the brakes because the brakes smell burning. After checking on my brakes, they said someone just had worked on my breakes and put too much grease on it. It will go away as time goes by. They did not charge me for their service either. I appreciate very much for their honesty, integrity, and not rid me off like some other shops in town. Not only that, their customers service is friendly and the best of all so far in town those I have come to across. I have nothing but good thing to say about them. Smiley Auto Repair, you have my trust. You are the best in town. Keep up the good work.

I called to rent a car and they said that they only had one car for rent and that you could only use it locally in town.

Smiley's Automotive is the best shop in town. Do not waste your time and money with other shops in Merced like I have. Cody and his team are great at what they do, and I have never once had to bring my vehicle back once due to a problem. Thank you Cody see you next week for my Tires.

I was visiting Merced as a midpoint on a trip. I stopped at Smiley’s when I had an issue with a rental car. These guys were professional and kind. I can’t recommend this place enough, and it would be my go-to service shop if I were a local.

I an disappointed with their customer service. I used to take my car there all the time. Made appointments, fast service and reasonable prices. Over the past year I been trying to schedule appointments but I get other hung up on, they’re not available to take more appointments, or they’re backed up. I have Smileys another try. I called yesterday to get an engine light checked out. The guy said to bring it in next morning as soon as they open. I wanted to make an appointment but he said to just bring it in. I missed work thinking that I would know what the issue is on my car because it looses power when it’s running. I show up 15 minutes after they open and the guy said they backed up and they can’t check out my car. There was a girl in front of me who came in to get her car checked out without an appointment. I would not go back.
