When I called the office to find out if my Kitty ? could be seen by the DVM, and was told that there was no Doctor available and they weren't taking any new refusals. So I had to call around to the local Vet's to see where I could bring my Kitty ? and was told by several to seek Turlock for an Animal Hospital. So I cntinude to make some calls ?. The office was unable to help.

Dr. Sheffield is a wonderful doctor! My dogs have been under her care since 2005 when she saved my two little puppies from dying with parvo. I recently learned that she has left Animal Medical Center and started working at Valley Animal Hospital. My dogs will be following Dr. Sheffield to her new clinic for continuing care of their medical needs.

Animal Medical Center is a wonderful place to take my 4 legged babies. I was re-introduced to this vet hospital when my baby girl (cat) was mauled. The worst night of my life brought the most wonderful Vet into my life. Dr. Nagel was on duty, when I walked through the door, the staff immediately took my baby in the back and started to help her. I did not think I would ever see her alive again. Long story on the massive amount of care that was needed, but my baby girl is still alive and back to her frisky self. One note, yes the fees/deposit for an emergency are high (100.00 for general emergency, 500.00 for critical care) but the complete, quality care that is given is beyond belief. The staff here realizes these are not just pets but family members.

Make an appointment instead of walking in. You will save $30 and you will wait less than three hours. Friendly staff. Willing to give price estimates and if money is tight, they will tell you what to skip and what is definitely needed.

Incredibly compassionate professional care. Staff was very competent. Clinic is state of the art. Had a terrible experience at another 24 hr emergency clinic and it was refreshing to encounter excellent, non judgemental service. They worked with us financially to work out the best treatment plan for our dog within our budget. This hospital really cared about the wellbeing of our dog and gave us several options to improve his quality of life after being hit by a car and dislocating his hind leg.
