“In summary, it felt professional yet still caring like a small town business. A friend I helped through rough times had a storage unit here and I worked with them to pay for the unit and eventually empty it out. I have worked with a quite a few storage units through my work and this is one of the best ones I’ve seen. The units are well-built, secure, and did well protecting the contents from the weather. The buildings and grounds were well maintained and clean. The wide aisles were also nice. The best part for me were the staff. The woman in the office (maybe Barbara but I can’t recall) was amazing to work with. She did a great job balancing being professional and following the guidelines while also being personal enough to help during a difficult situation for the unit owner. She made it easy to handle things remotely since I don’t live in Merced. The man doing the maintenance was also very helpful and personable.”

“Smith Van and Storage just completed our move to Florida from Merced. We can not say enough about how they packed everything up, protected everything. Randy helped in so many ways from storing all our house hold goods until our house was built. Randy under stood we had a hard time with our builder with a completion date and stored everything. When the delivery team arrived they put cardboard down to protect the driveway, they put floor padding down inside the house to protect the flooring . This was a professional job by all from pickup in Merced Ca. to Our new house in Florida. Randy THANK YOU for a job well done and keeping my wife happy!!! If you need anything just let me know. “I faced my cross-country move with trepidation - no, terror. I researched movers and quickly learned that you can't really compare quotes - for example: one major mover was a lot cheaper, but charged a fortune for insurance! And when you check the reviews on any of them, you'll find horror stories.I learned something else - the local agents on either end matter more than than the national brand. And most local agents have terrible reviews.Except for this one. You'll see many positive reviews that mention Abby - and they are all true. She was patient with my questions, very responsive, and gave me what I felt was honest and sound advice. So I decided to trust her.She and her crews were amazing. If you were to imagine the perfect move - it still wouldn't match my experience.The crews on both sides (loading and unloading) were amazing - fast, efficient and obviously careful with my property. The auto transport went perfectly. They beat the promised delivery times on both the car and my property - by days. There was nothing missing and no damage. I'm still in shock as to how everything went exactly or better than promised.Mind you, they aren't cheap. But they were worth every penny.”
