Great sporting good store in the center of Merced run by excellent people. They were very kind helping me buy an American football, and I enjoyed a lovely conversation with the owner. I only wish I could be a regular but I am from out of town!

Known Danny Mac and Mc Namara family for 40 years . Mc Namaras is STILL the place to go for Sporting Gear and Uniforms in Merced . They did my uniforms for my Showcase Travel baseball team a few years ago , never a problem and always quality gear . Go see “Em !

This place is pretty good for soccer but that's it. Now I'm not complaining because I love soccer and it's part of my life but if you are looking for other sports that's about all they got and a small little b-ball court.

Initial shop was great. Worked with the owner and was able to pull an image and got pricing and not pressured to buy. Will return for work and do a follow up review.

Great place!! Lots of sporting equipment. Found perfect softball glove for my daughter. Owner even opened store for us when it was closed because he was there. He was very helpful and kind. Thanks!!

From the moment I walked in I was treated by the owner like I was a waste of his time. Not one person greeted me as they had their faces in their computers and when I walked up and said excuse to get some help Dan acted as if I was disturbing him. I wanted to get a hoodie made for my sister with her favorite band on the front with a simple lyric across the back shoulders, nothing extravagant. The responses I would get were "umm yeah we can try" "what band" "I dont know what that is".. just completely rude tone and demeanor. I had an urge to just walk out cause he was treating me as if I was a moron, but I really wanted this gift for my sister. I paid $54 for this. A piece of white paper ironed on to a black sweater that literally crumbles like paper when you fold it. It's clear they didn't care for my business and took the easy way in making this but had no problem taking my money. I found a small business who did a WAY better job and charged me less than what McNamara did. Needless to say they will never receive my business again. Support small businesses. I will attach a picture of the white piece of paper they ironed on the sweater and the sweater from the small business I found who gave me something that looks like it came straight from a store.

I have the utmost respect and gratitude for the McNamara Family and their business. 40 years ago I was a young, naive girl who was working for Merced County Parks & Recreation. I was creating an after-school program and various special events. Mr. McNamara was always generous with finances, products, encouragement, & most of all his wisdom. Dan has carried on with the same commitment to our community. He always has good advice, great products and a wonderful smile. Great job and thank you so very much for carrying on the tradition Dan!
