This place sucks the shoes that I bought pretty much started falling apart almost instantly and when I did buy them they said if they ran my credit I'll get 30% off but when they ran my credit they didn't give me the 30% off they just said more information was needed and that they were sorry all that did was mess up my credit score because it's a HARD inquiry

The store is very clean and organized. The checkout line was long, but the service out was very fast, which was very much appreciated. The associates were very pleasant!

Since December I have been in to this store several times and it has really been on the decline for some time. I didn’t realize they no longer sold Nike shoes. Luckily I found some Sketchers, but they’re just not the same type of athletic shoe. Their return policy stinks. I just saw another review now that I wish I had read before to keep me from wasting my time of going out of my way to return! When returning with a receipt they will give you half the price or less. Do not believe hassle free returns with receipt! What’s the point!!? Even on a card, they won’t exchange, so why open a card? There’s not much of a benefit (I’ve had mine at least 20 years). I couldn’t even get the manager to come out to talk to me. I find myself going less and less to this store and it used to be my favorite to shop at. It makes me not want to shop there anymore. It was the best store in the mall, now slim pickings in Merced.
Update: By the way I HAVE called AND emailed, and I can never get a hold of anyone. I haven’t gotten a response from the email. When I called customer service (3/4), I think it got rerouted to Merced and the phone just kept ringing in the system. The customer service rep just says make the complaint to us, which I did, only to be sent back into the phone system. I’m so tired of dealing with JcPenney now.

If you return the clothes without the receipt, they offer you $1.00.Even if you have paid by card, even if you are registered.With receipt at half price.

JCPenny 600 Merced Mall, Merced CA 95348.Couple weeks ago I brought a watch. Cashier Kathy was amazing and very good at her job. So nice to me and my mother and should be a Manger. She know how to serve the people.The access code is not valid so I have to make sure I leave this comment.

DO NOT COME HERE. I was in the dressing room trying on clothes and some guy was watching me change. I went to go tell the people who worked there and was told they couldn't kick the person out and that I had to call the police if I wanted anything to happen.
